After waiting several months for my LGA1700 direct die upgrade kit, it turns out I have been sent a kit with hardware that doesn’t work. Despite EK acknowledging a manufacturing problem exists, and claiming (in forums) they stopped order fulfilment to prevent defective hardware being sent to customers, they are still sending defective contact frames and uneven cold plates.
Their response to the issue has been poor and rather telling of their attitude towards their customer base.
Rather than set-up a dedicated fast track process for replacement parts, customers join the queue of existing support tickets, and EK are now quoting 5 days just to respond to a ticket (it used to be 2 days) as a result of the extra burden.
Furthermore despite acknowledging the manufacturing defect exists I have seen accounts from forums, that EK are insisting on pictures of the contact patch being sent, this requires the customer to fully install known bad hardware into their PC, a bizarre policy decision on their part.
This isn’t the first time I’ve been a victim of EK, I purchased the vector trio 4090 ABP water block, installed and commissioned my build only to discover that the cold plate outside the gasket line is dirty, greasy with manufacturing residue which shows up under RGB lighting.
I like the design style of EK stuff, but given poor QC and a very poor response to known manufacturing defect in one of their products, I can’t recommend them and will seek to avoid them for future builds.

EK helped solve a problem they did not cause
From a US distributor, I received EK tubing that didn't seem right -- it came off the compression fitting too easily, in my view, (but this is my first attempt at water cooling, so I'm unsure). This could have been a disaster in a water-cooler computer system. EK customer service helped diagnose the problem. It turns out the US distributor (not EK!) sent tubing of the wrong size -- a mix-up in the warehouse. EK customer service was very helpful, even though they weren't the cause of the problem. Excellent customer service.

I recently made a purchase from ekwb and for some unknown reason my email / payment method was flagged and suspected of being fraudulent. Immediately with that happened a friendly and professional customer support contact named Nika B. Sent me an email to verify my purchasing payment method before releasing my order for shipping.
When I replied to her email, I was multitasking and sadly the email I sent her had the most abysmal grammar that I had ever written in my life. Despite of that, unbelievably she understood the whole email, replied and took care of the whole situation in a concise easy and timely manner. I'm planning on making a few more orders in the next few days, and if any situation arises I'd be more than happy if Nika was my contact.

Great products, fantastic support! If you have questions about something before or after you buy it, reach out to their support and ask. They are extremely helpful and responsive. I have been building water cooled PCs with exclusively EK parts for over 10 years and have never had any issues. Their stuff is pricey but it's made to last!
AIO Phoenix Cooling Solutions
Hello.
I haven't had much luck lately replacing a pump in a EK Phoenix AIO cooling solution. I recieved a quote on a new pump + vat + shipping. I kindly asked if i could get a precise/total amount of what it would cost, but was rejected since they could only calculate when the order is in progress. I did mention to the support agent that as a student, it's quite hard to find the money and it was important. They answered that it's a product that's not in production anymore and they have limited amount of spare parts left. So i ordered and recieved the part. Asked for additional information as a part replacement video and was rejected again. No info.
I found a video, which i followed after replacing the pump by pulling the screws and the unit out. Out of curiosity, i filled my two radiator/pump/res units which was in the system, to try get the bubbles out. Again, following the instructions on YouTube.
When i assembled everything, the fans and pumps stopped working on both loops to CPU and GPU. I pulled it out again and figured out that the small PCB board isn't working properly, since i tried both fans and pumps on a third set i have (really like those kits!) I then know it's broken. Now i have two non-working loops in the system.
Following their video for maintenance, must have caused overflowing coolant while filling up the loop to hit the backside of the PCB board and cause a short. It does show in the video to move it around in different angles after filling up multiple times.
So, back to support again.. Asked for guidance and got a new quote again for a PCB + vat + shipping, which i need two of now. I did try to ask if there is another way but haven't really had much luck so far and getting the same reply, that there aren't much left in stock since it's a product that's not in production anymore.
I payed:
91,25 euro for a pump including vat and shipping.
I need:
2x PCB boards for 34 euro + vat + shipping.
I didn't get any instructions, guidance or any information about the total amount. Only rejections.
I wouldn't recommend buying closed AIO systems from EKWB, even tho they are really nice with quick disconnects. (Not in production anymore)
