This company outright lies that one can use roaming outside Ireland. If you google the number of people who have problems, it's everywhere. Eir will make you believe it's your problem, but I've had two different phones, in London (twice) in Italy, in Malta, in Spain, and in Portugal, and it's impossible to get roaming on the phone. My daughter, likewise couldn't get roaming in various countries.
I was told by another mobile country that the reason for that is that Eir is an Irish company, and that they have no international network. They will often tell you that if the phone doesn't connect automatically, then you must manually connect to a network.
How does one manually connect to a network without a password and with for which one does not have an account?
I will terminate this account soonest, as it has caused me a lot of issues, especially as I now need to use the phone in London to sort out a cloud connection on my late daughter's phone.
