One of the worst flights
One of the worst flights
Where do I start. Flight was cancelled. No live chat, had to call, no answer in 30 minutes, cost me £20 for that call.
new flight schedules but basically meant i lost a day of a 4 day city break.
Then my extra legroom seats i paid for we not booked, There and Back so basically i paid extra for normal seats.
On the way back, handed water in at scanners, walked to departure gate, bought fresh water, at gate, another scanner and took water off me again. No water until 30 minutes after take off. Oh yes, it was delayed 40 minutes taking off as well!!
On the way back, about 30 minutes from landing i asked a stewardess to take my rubbish away, she basically took it off me and threw it on the floor in front of me.
Would i fly with them again, not a chance!!
Avoid them like the plague
The worst airline I’ve ever flown with.
They lost my luggage for 8 days on a flight to Tokyo and offered absolutely zero assistance. I started asking for information and a refund the day after it was lost, but no one replied for days. When they finally did, they had the nerve to say I filed the claim “too late.” Completely false.
Meanwhile, I had to buy clothes and essentials for around €850, and in the end they refused to reimburse anything.
As if that wasn’t enough, when the suitcase was returned, it was scratched and damaged all over. I even sent photos and proof, but they denied compensation for that too.
Totally incompetent, disorganized, and disrespectful to passengers.
If they lose your luggage, be prepared to fight for weeks and get absolutely nothing.
Never again. Stay away.
If zero star was an option I would give…
If zero star was an option I would give it to EgyptAir. For no feedback in 179 days to a baggage claim - even I have in contact with Egypt Denmark , Egypt Italy, wecare Egypt, Egypt Plus Customer , Insurance Egypt Air. In October was delayed and came 5 day late to Saidi Arabia. Still the money I spend on clothes - taxa to airport because EgyptAir also have this great service not to bring out delayed luggage so I spend more than 1h to airport and back to hotel. EgyptAir is the worst airline I have…
EgyptAir is the worst airline I have ever flown. I flew EgyptAir on April 7 from Cairo to Dubai. The wheels on my luggage was damaged. As EgyptAir was the final carrier, I was told I had to file the claim with them. The process on their website says to send an email. I have emailed them three times and have not received any type of response. I have called and they refer me back to this email address. I included other email addresses I found on their website when I sent my last email. Still no response from anyone. Very poor customer service! I don’t see how they are still in business. No one is choosing to fly this airline. It’s by default, like it was for me.
Terrible Experience with EgyptAir and…
Terrible Experience with EgyptAir and Wego – Never Again
Despite arriving at the airport on time, I was denied boarding in a discriminatory and unjustified manner due to a government document required for exiting the country. The way I was treated felt oppressive and unfair.
What made things even worse was the handling by Wego and EgyptAir. Wego clearly stated that free cancellation was available, but when I canceled, over $300 were deducted under the excuse of "taxes", and I only got $180 back — which I still haven’t received, by the way.
There was no transparency, no respect for the traveler, and absolutely no effective customer service.
A deeply frustrating and disappointing experience. I will never book with Wego or EgyptAir again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them as well.
Travelled from Manchester to Jeddah and…
Travelled from Manchester to Jeddah and return. Flight timing was excellent. Service and hospitality was excellent. No issue with 46kg luggage. Food was good.
The gentleman in medina airport check in was so nice that without even asking gave fire exit door with extra legroom.
Only issue no blanket provided and plane isle/plane was small and compact. Thus going to toilet or moving around is impossible.
Please avoid this joke of an airline
Dirty aircraft. Disgusting toilet. Bad food. No soft drinks or beer, just disgusting juice. Flight crew bunch of jokers who don’t know their first thing about customer service. Our flight wa delayed for nearly 5 hours and they couldn’t tell us why. Never using this joke of an airline again. Paid 2k for flights LHR - CAI so I don’t think that’s low budget.
They need to improve like really..
They need to improve like really... the customer service here is not that good and prices are too much sometimes.
Avoid EgyptAir
Avoid EgyptAir – A Disappointing Experience
I had a terrible experience with EgyptAir, and I’m sharing this so others are informed and, hopefully, the airline improves its service.
My journey was from Mumbai to Dublin with a layover in Cairo. Here’s how it went:
First Flight (Mumbai to Cairo – 6 h30 mins)
Pros: The food was good.
Cons: No cushions, no blankets, and no earphones for the in-flight entertainment. It was a long, uncomfortable, and boring flight. The cleanliness was also subpar.
Layover: 2 hrs 30 mins
Second Flight (Cairo to Dublin – 6 hrs 0 mins)
Pros: The flight was cleaner than the first.
Cons: No blankets, no cushions, and no in-flight service for the first 4 hours—strange and unprofessional! Worse, they did not serve me food.
I had attempted online check-in twice to order vegetarian meals, but the system said check-in was only available at the desk. Onboard, when I requested a vegetarian meal, they simply denied my request, stating there was no special order. Even after explaining my situation, they made no effort to help or offer alternatives. The staff didn’t even know the ingredients of what they were serving except beef. I was left starving for the entire flight and felt completely ignored and unwelcome.
Adding to the discomfort, the lack of blankets or cushions resulted in severe body pain.
Other Disappointments:
Unlike airlines such as Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Etihad, or Swiss Air, the pilots here did not share any information about notable landmarks during the journey. Even after getting a window seat, I did not get a glimpse of the pyramids—a small touch that could have made the experience better.
The first half of my journey lacked proper entertainment, and the second half left me hungry.
Final Thoughts
This is my personal experience and opinion, but I strongly advise choosing a better airline except visiting Egypt itself. A Cairo layover with EgyptAir is not worth it, no matter the extra baggage allowance (few extra Kilos) or a discounted price. You would be left with severe body pain and illness.
All the best with your travels!
EgyptAir canceled our flight without…
EgyptAir canceled our flight without any explanation or alternative options. We had no choice but to book a new, significantly more expensive flight. While we received a refund for the canceled flight, we are now left to cover the additional costs ourselves. This lack of accountability and customer support is completely unacceptable!
EgyptAir - give it a try
Just flown with EgyptAir Madrid to Cairo, Luxor to Cairo and back to Madrid. Brilliant clean Airbus 321 Neo, charming staff in the air, some a bit grumpy on the ground but no worse than British Airlines. Flights all on time and great prices. The airport does have plenty of guys trying to get you a taxi, carry your bag etc. No eye contact, keep walking and don't get involved. I read a lot of your reviews and I'm glad I ignored them!
Fantastic service always
Thieves beware
Absolutely disgusting ground staff in Cairo are crooks to the highest degree they break into your locked suitcases luckily I had nothing important in the suitcase. But now I cannot use this suitcase again due to them breaking the locks inbuilt onto the suitcase, I’m presuming these evil thieves broke in to see if they could rob something. If you’re travelling to Cairo please do not leave anything important in your carry on luggage. Furthermore they lost our luggage on the way to Cairo so did not have luggage for 2 days. Then to make things worse when I arrived back in the uk I saw suitcases in smithereens absolutely smashed up like there were playing tennis with them or something absolutely disgusting behaviour. How can this company be state owned and ‘alliance star’ or whatever bs it’s called whole thing is a shambles.
Unacceptable Baggage Issue and Complete Lack of Response
I am extremely disappointed with the handling of my baggage issue during my flight from Barcelona Airport (El Cairo) to New Delhi Airport on July 27, 2024.
Here’s what happened:
Baggage check-in: I checked in a backpack and a suitcase at the departure airport.
Baggage delay: Upon arriving at New Delhi Airport, my baggage didn’t show up on the conveyor belt. I had to wait 6 days before receiving my baggage, causing significant inconvenience during my trip.
Claim filed: Before leaving the airport, I filed the necessary claim with the airline and registered the incident in the Property Irregularity Report (PIR). I’ve also attached a copy of my flight ticket.
Lack of response and compensation: Since August 2024, I have been redirected to four different claims departments. I have submitted all the requested documentation to each department, but I have yet to receive any response to my emails or any form of compensation for the delay and inconvenience caused.
I am deeply frustrated by the lack of communication and the company's failure to address this issue or provide the compensation I am entitled to. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I would not recommend this airline based on how they have handled this situation.
88% of the review on this Airlines are…
88% of the review on this Airlines are horrible. I booked Business class seat with them from Ciro to Mumbai. This business Class was the worst then any Economical class Ailine in the world. food was worst then dog food. Seats were filthy, look like aircraft was not cleaned in months.
Thieves Thieves - Be prepared to lose stuff
Thieves. In both journeys there were items that were stolen from our checked in luggage prepare to lose your stuff if you check in their luggage no security no decency the airline staff are pointless they don’t help and you’re complains will go nowhere.

Recently I went to visit Cairo and at the time of returning I got very bad experience in Cairo Airport.
Staff behavior was not friendly.
I bought some soaps from Cairo and in the airport an officer told I was not allowed to carry shop in the flight but if I would pay $150 then he would allow to bring it. It is very unfair.
Most of the staff were asking for tips in the airport. Some were literally begging for it what was very embarrassing.
Worst experience I have encountered in…
Worst experience I have encountered in my life. We were stranded at Cairo airport from a connecting flight.
Unprofessional, extremely rude employees at the airport.
A bunch of arrogant people. God forbid you ask them about any information regarding your luggage - they’d huff and tut at you, start arguing, speaking in their own language to their colleagues then gang up together to argue with a vulnerable stressed out tourist.
I asked where has my luggage gone (as they lost it for more than 5 hours)
The man at the counter started shouting ‘you’re asking ME where’s your luggage gone?! You should know yourself’.
Diabolical - could not make this stuff up if I wanted to. Calling them an airport full of cowboys but that would be an insult to cowboys as at least they pretend to do their job. Also side note if you are a female entering this airport - in short don’t. Unless you enjoy the feeling of harassment and intimidation. I really hope this review prevents future passengers from booking with this airline as this will be the only way change will be implemented.
Worst flight company of all time.
Worst flight company of all time.
Stranded in cairo airport due to negligence and over booking.
