I was excited to try the app so I signed up but once I said yes and chose my payment method, I was inundated with what felt like a never-ending series of ads trying to upsell me on all sorts of add-on... See more

The app is still so new for me. So far I like it. I screen shot many pages and expect to do more!

Charged for a subscription I did not knowingly or willingly enter into - when challenged I was told no refund would be given in line with the company’s terms and conditions despite acknowledging no warning of a pending charge was given - deceitful and unreasonable. An undesirable practice which should be investigated. Be warned.

I do not even remember signing up with this firm. I suspect it was one of those free trials which somehow get transferred into a monthly payment. Don't remember doing it, didn't receive anything so no alarm bells rung that I was paying for something. Until I noticed it on my bills. Now out 3 x £24. I certainly will have nothing to do with these people again. Only gave one star as no way to give ZERO stars.

They charged me without my consent for 92€. I never signed up for the service, and when I asked for a refund, they refused. Stay away and don’t give them your payment info. They are really good on steel and scam people!!!

I have nothing good to say about Effecto. The subscription process is highly opaque (if you have to subscribe, find and read ALL the small-print before you do) and I was foolishly drawn in by the torrent of incremental "special offers" on pricing. This is a common pressure technique used by online suppliers who can't sell their product by merely promoting it's benefit. No auto-notifications of subscription payments were ever received, which these days is just POOR PRACTICE so it was only when checking bank statements for something unrelated that I discovered I'd been paying about £100/month for nothing. Getting a proper refund for "services" I never accessed - having believed that I wouldn't be charged beyond the initial trial period - was lengthy and time consuming and their "final offer" for a refund was highly unsatisfactory.
If you want help and support with mental health issues either: 1) get a professional recommendation of properly researched, FREE material to study - from your doctor perhaps, or 2) pay a professional to work with you and do the job properly. The "app" and "1 on 1" coaching offered by Effecto is basically just automated algorithmic messaging based on a single questionnaire. In my opinion the whole operation is a borderline scam/money-making exercise (and I was an idiot to even give it the time of day so I admit that I was also culpable.) They are basically preying on people's vulnerabilities and need for genuine guidance. My advice is to NOT go anywhere near this. Find something or someone genuine and real to help you, instead.

The application process was a little confusing to me. First off I added a new credit card and it did not show up as a choice. So I paid another way. On the next screen, it wanted me to accept an offer for the first month and pay for it. That is what I thought that I had just done initially when I selected the one month choice. I still don’t understand that. There were then quite a few additional things it wanted me to purchase. I did buy one but with so many add-ons it started to seem a little ridiculous. I began wondering what am I getting with the month I purchased if all of these things are add-ons. So I’m reserving judgement for now.

I feel I’m falling into a program I can’t win. I am intimidated by the buy this, but this, buy this. This is not making me comfortable with this program. It should be an all in one program with the helpful books and other information included.
For one price then you can make a decision basted on the whole program and cost as a whole. I will only be doing the 4week program with no add on programs, unless you prove to me that it’s working and worth the prices stated. Sincerely Cheryl Balicki.
