Outstanding customer service and fast delivery!

Excellent service from Ecowitt. I placed a complex order with a mix of standard sensors and the specific 'Powered by Shelly' version of the WS90. The customer support team responded incredibly fast and was proactive in ensuring full compatibility with my smart home setup.
Thanks to their technical expertise, my order was corrected and shipped much faster than the initial pre-order dates suggested. While I have yet to start the physical installation, the build quality of the devices looks very solid and promising. Highly recommended for anyone serious about weather data and integrations!

Great customer service

Easy purchase (a battery adapter for a weather station) using the Shopify platform and PayPal

Tracking was straightforward with quick delivery to the UK from mainland China by airmail, unfortunately the package was lost by the UK courier Evri

Contacted ecowitt via their PayPal contact and Dan (ecowitt support 6) was very helpful

Like me he had no joy with Evri who stopped talking to both of us

He organised a replacement which has now arrived, ironically by Evri

Great Customer service for a relatively low value item (about £15)

My first Ecowitt experience is grrreat!

Wanted to write a review about my experience of being a recent Ecowitt customer. I have a WFC01 watering timer + GW2000A gateway + WH51 soil moisture sensor + WH0291 soil moisture monitor with time display. My use case is to monitor the indoor plants moisture and to automatically water the outdoor plants. I bought directly from the Ecowitt China shop sent to the UK as the UK distributor had no stock. 11 days to deliver. Great! All taxes and duties taken care off. Saved some cost overall. Packaged really well and each device in excellent device packaging too. GW2000A a little more flimsy, but very acceptable. All devices very solid and made to last. GW200A a little more plasticky but acceptable as not open to the environment. Unwrapped the WH0291. Put in a battery in display and soil moisture meter. It instantly worked. Plugged in the GW2000A. Connected to internal SSID. Couple of simple network configurations and webapp and mobile app just worked. Immediately identified the internal sensors at end of cable of the gateway (temperature, humidity and barometric pressure) as well as the WH51 that came with the WH0291. Battery status and hub signal strength from the hub are also monitored. Added the second WH051 that I was going to use outdoor. Each WH051 was nicely supplied with a rubber sleeve to put over the battery cover to protect it from getting wet. Next installed the WFC01 water timer. It came with a UK tap adapter. Initially tried to use the webapp to add the WFC01 as I did not read the manual. The technology of the WFC01 works slightly different and the device needs to be added in the mobile app (I have Android) with ... > +Subdevice. The power switch and water timer are options here. Again instally recognised and it just worked. Although showing as a low signal from water timer to hub, I was pleasantly suprised it worked at all as I had initially placed my hub about 25m, 2 double walls and 2 single walls away from the hub. Will relocate the hub as I suspect this will reduce battery use of the water timer. There is a smart setting that allows you to set a trigger to automatically switch on the water timer when the moisure level goes below a certain percentage. Lots of other settings to optimise water supply. Next tried to add the gateway hub to my Home Assistant with the Ecowitt integration. Took a few tries and the integration steps selected the wrong IP address of my Rapberry Pie Home Assistant setup. Easily fixed. Can now monitor all sensors in my HA dashboard. However, the water timer is not yet integrated. Looking forward to this being added soon. Ecowitt? Understand the technology here is slightly different, so maybe more complex. In total the above setup took just over 1 hour.

Overall, like ot rate this 9 our of 10. Well done Ecowitt. Keep it up. Slightly higher investment than my old Hozelock AC1 but a huge step up functionally and any comparable highstreet options such as Hozelock 2216 are 3 times the cost with less functionality.

Good with measurements & info

Amazing products with accurate measurements. Wide range of choices and appears to be very reliable. The only thinkg to mention is the outdoor air quality monitor which can be quite sensitive to the variations with the rain or fog, giving silly values of bad quality, but other than that I'm pleased and plan on continuing to build my equipment with them.

Great customer service.

Great customer service.

4/5 stars because shipping of replacement parts is quite slow and you might experience a few weeks downtime because of this.

Comms were excellent.

Warranty cover was excellent.

I recently ordered 2 of what I thought were WN32 sensors

I recently ordered 2 of what I thought were going to be WN32 sensors (that was the image on the website) the WN32 measures temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. After placing the order I noticed that the confirmation was for WN31 sensors, which only measure temperature and humidity. I did point this out to the Ecowitt shop but have not received a response to date. The Ecowitt product is excellent and my experience should not deter people from buying their product, just ensure that the image of the product and the text describing it are one and the same!
