At ECOFUEL™, we specialise in better wood fuels for homes and professional kitchens across Ireland. For more than a decade, we’ve been supplying kiln-dried firewood, wood briquettes, lumpwood charcoal and professional pizza briquettes to customers who value performance, reliability and sustainability. For years, many households and businesses struggled with inconsistent firewood, damp logs, smoky fuels and unreliable deliveries. Fires that should bring warmth and comfort often became frustrating to manage. ECOFUEL™ began with a simple idea: wood fuel should just work properly. Our approach has always been simple: supply properly dried fuels that burn consistently and deliver them with service customers can depend on. From our CityBag® range for everyday home fires to SingleDeck® and DoubleDeck® crates of kiln-dried logs, and our Forno1889® pizza briquettes used by wood-fired pizzerias, every product we supply is designed to burn cleaner, hotter and more predictably. Our delivery service is part of that experience. Through our signature Final 40FT® delivery system, our team brings fuel directly to homes, sheds and kitchens across Ireland, helping customers store their fuel exactly where it’s needed. Every ECOFUEL™ product is sourced from 100% sustainably managed forests and verified by FSC® certification. As proud members of 1% for the Planet, we invest in reforestation and biodiversity projects because protecting the forests behind every fire is part of our responsibility. Many of our customers have been with us for years, trusting ECOFUEL™ to keep their fires burning season after season.

I was a bit surprised to find that some of my kiln dried wood had green moss on it. It made me smile rather than get upset.

Hi Verena,
Thanks so much for the lovely review, and for your continued support.
On the moss, Ash bark naturally carries small traces of moss and lichen, and some can remain visible even after the logs have been kiln-dried. The kiln drying removes moisture from the wood itself, but it does not strip the bark, so some of that natural surface can remain. The logs are still kiln-dried to the required moisture level.
I’m glad it made you smile rather than worry.
Enjoy the fires ahead,
