Katie Connor community connector is absolutely fantastic in supporting my autistic daughter. She is helping my daughter in her volunteering role and getting her into the community. My daughter loves talking to Katie about her volunteering work and what she's doing.

Just wanted to say a huge thankyou to all of you who gave my Mum ( & Dad ) such great support over the last six weeks. I did meet some of you & I was very impressed by the level of care & support by folk who are probably not being paid anywhere near enough.
I was sleeping on my Mum & Dad's sofa until they got used to strangers coming into their home, but all of you were so very kind & professional.

Ian approached me to introduce a new client to the community allotment that I facilitate. Ian did a great job of liaising with all of us, settling in his client and making sure that all of the essential information was provided. Thanks Ian!

The Inclusive Employment Support my son received from ECL has been a success. His employment consultant Mark, is supportive, friendly and understanding of my son's needs. With the help of the ECL team and Mark's optimism and encouragement my son has got his ideal job, which he never thought he would. They have given him a chance to succeed in life.

Marylands is a very welcoming place. The staff all seem to be hard working and caring and they go to great lengths to know their clients and their needs. They are always cheerful and helpful and put on a good range of activities to entertain the clients in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The end of year panto and dinner was really good and it was nice to mix with like minded people to help understand that you are not alone with dementia. Thank you everybody.

Marylands do a fantastic job caring for my wife. The staff are very "interactive" with those in their care with music, dance, games and gossip over a cuppa, constantly on the go.
I was very nervous about this first step in care for my wife but have had all my concerns addressed far beyond my expectations.
I am and will always be thankful and grateful to have found them.

A big thank you to all the staff at Marylands Colchester for the pantomime and excellent Christmas lunch last Thursday. What a lot of hard work for you all! It was a great success, thank you.

I had a great day out at Maryland’s Christmas Part Event. I was volunteering for the day as a friend to Maryland’s. I worked for ECL myself before retirement and like to give some time back to others. The team worked hard to provide a Christmas lunch for 47 customers and families. Well done to manager Katie Craig and her team.

Hello
I would like to bring to your attention the amazing work that has been performed by Rhuhia Ahmed who works for the Inclusive Employment Team - West
We first met Rhuhia back on 19/7/23. We met first in Epping when she first introduced herself to my son RJ.
Not a young man of many words but she has worked so hard with him to gain his trust and his confidence.
She firstly worked on his CV to ensure that it was correct. She then shared his CV on employment websites. She also introduced us to Bobby who was tasked to use his expertise to get RJ an interview for a job with possible employers.
Rhuhia has worked tirelessly with such passion with RJ.
She has gone with RJ into possible shops in Epping and circulated his CV.
In recent weeks she has circulated his CV to various businesses and has arranged interviews with support. She has picked him up and prep him before going into the interview. She is amazing.
RJ feels very comfortable with the support that she has given him.
There has been some positive comments from employers which she has fed back to RJ and myself.
She truly has gone above and beyond to secure interviews and has always prepared him beforehand.
She a great communicator. I receive emails and texts with updates and also in person.
Though RJ has not been offered a job at the moment. There maybe a possible opening after Christmas.
He has gained valuable experience by attending the interviews with support and is learning was expected from him . Rhuhia support is in valuable.
She really is a credit and we look forward to her continued support and guiding RJ and myself in the coming year.

My sister in law Teresa attends the ECL club on Thursdays, she thoroughly enjoys her self whilst she is there - there is always plenty of activities going on and the staff are very caring - from the start they were very efficient and quick - she loves Oliver, always talks about him at home.
