Bought a pair of men’s lace up shoes a couple of years ago and the soles have disintegrated beyond repair, wore them a few weeks at a time. Took them out the cupboard yesterday and walked about half a... See more

Ecco can no longer be trusted
On 6 May I bought a pair of soft 2 strap Ecco shoes. I have worn Ecco shoes for 20 years, and have always loved them. This time the right shoe was slightly uncomfortable, but I decided to buy them. After a month I was being crippled by them. Luckily I saw a trustpilot review saying "the tongue chafed my foot", and I made a written complaint to Clinkards. They were faulty, and I got my money back
Long time consumer of ECCO shoes.
Long time consumer of ECCO shoes in the past. Many older models were durable. Bought a pair of BIOM C4s last year and the leather was torn by the midsole. Customer service was horrible and didn't even consider a warranty option because it was over a year by 10 days. Never again will I buy their products. Terrible customer service. Terrible shoes.
Refund takes over a month to process
I bought sandals from ECCO
unfortunately they were not comfortable and so I returned them
This was on the 23rd of May and now at the 19th of June I have still had no notification that my return has reached them nor my money back. I have e mailed and was told their warehouse is in Poland and so returns take 16 working days to get there and then another 2-10 days to get your money back!!! They are quick to take your money but not fast at giving it back
Absolutely the worst returns service I have ever used.
I am now without shoes that cost £100 and no idea if they have received them back and no refund!!
Zero out of ten !
I purchased shoes from them last year…
I purchased shoes from them last year 2024. Sole is delaminating. Customer Service responded that it was beyond 1 year (By 6 days; because the retail locations never responded appropriately when I visited the within the on year period).
I have requested a call and customer service told me that they "currently do not have a phone number".
Will never purchase shoes from them again.
Exceptionally poor service
Exceptionally poor service
I went to the Ecco store in Chester this morning. The shop was not open, but there were two people in the store. Eventually one of them came to the door and said they had an I.T issue. I asked if I could go in and have a look at the shoes. I was given a flat “No” and the door closed in my face.
As a long term buyer of both golf and normal ECCO shoes I think I need to find a new brand.
Ecco soles disintegrate
I bought the shoes for work and wore them in rotation with other shoes over the 5 years they lasted. When I retired I never wore them. Kept shoe savers in them. One night in October, our anniversary, I wore them to a nice restaurant. I was quite embarrassed when the pair started to disintegrate while I was walking to our table.
Given the cost and the fact that when I tried getting some redress for them, I was told that they were out of warranty and that was that, I won't be buying shoes from them ever again.
I believe that a reputable company would want to resolve the issue but not Ecco.
Ecco say shoes have a tolerance value of 0.5cm
I have been trying to get redress from Ecco due to a pair of expensive shoes being somewhat loose on first try and then subsequently very loose for my normal size. I did not know they had a 30-day return policy so I bought a set of heel inserts. I needed three inserts on one shoe and even then they were slipping. THis was so even though a previous pair of the same EU size fitted well. Ecco demanded several sets of photos over two email exchanges and refused to accept the shoes for inspection. They said that they had a tolerance of 0.5 cm for their shoe size which presumably means that one pair of the same size as another can differ by as much as 1cm. I am not sure what I think of that quality control. Of course I am talking about on-line purchases. Ecco suggests that you can always return but with these disparities in size they may be putting a strain on the environment with badly sized products.
Quality and Design has gone
Bought this brand a while ago, walking boots, cruise II sandals and ankle boots. Exceptional quality - had them years. So comfortable. I came to try some new ones this year - the walking sandals were ROCK hard underfoot so uncomfortable. and the design of the new cruise II is just unappealing and cheap looking - no elastic on them either. Seems the quality has plummeted which is a shame.
Read the reviews.
Wow ! Looking at the reviews of this company it's apparent to stay well clear. I thought being a Danish company all would be well - not so. If I was CEO and saw these reviews I would do something about it.
Ecco soles disintegrate
I took my moccasins back to High St Kensington branch as when I Put them on, I felt I was sticking to the floor, and then found chunks of the solecoming off in my hand. The staff in shop were very familiar with this issue and said despite the lack of wear, this was a problem with soles on old shoes, and suggested they were not stored properly. In fact all my other shoes are perfectly in tact. There was no apology and the staff member was quite happy for me to give a poor review
hi i woild not give this brand even one star
I would not give this brand even one star I returned little worn shoes to the shop in Grafton st Dublin where I purchased them for a manufacturing fault check and was told they would call me after 5 days no return phone call was recaived I called the store and was told that as i did not have my receipt any claim was rejected they never even checked the shoes in question very rude and dismissive when i tried to question them they hung up. I called their HQ and got the same treatment MY ADVISE DO NOT BUY ECCO SHOE PRODUCTS AS IN MY CASE THE SERVICE SUCKS A Very Rude Company with no idea of customer service.
The shoes disintegrated
The shoes disintegrated, had not been worn for about two years. Leathers in excellent shape, however the soles and heels just crumpled
Purchased shoes 8 March 2025 they never…
Purchased shoes 8 March 2025 they never arrived and am still trying to get my refund. They keep delaying the issue of my refund. I will claim under s75 of the Consumer Credit Act. Don’t use this company . I would have given them a zero rating.
Terrible shoes
Terrible shoes. Do not buy. Second pair the soles just disintegrated again. Cannot believe it. And no refund since it has been over a year since purchase. Would never buy again. Stay away!
Echoe shoes disintegrated !!
Only giving one star as can't do less. Twice now my dad's echo shoes have fallen to pieces. To make matters worse this has happened at a family wedding and yesterday at my child's confirmation in the church in front of a packed congregation. He has always worn echo and yesterday put on a pair to wear with his suit. By the end of the service there were chunks of the soul all over the church. He was left shuffling out of the service. The poor man. The first time his shoes crumbled at a family wedding. Having read dozens of reviews on the Internet today this is very common and it appears that echo are very aware of this problem. My dad is wearing echo shoes all his life. NEVER Again !!
Don't expect any help from Ecco on faulty shoes
The soles on my Ecco walking shoes split on the flex part of the sole after less than a year. The reply from my complaint to Ecco follows.
"We would like to clarify that while ECCO products are known for their high quality, we do not offer a manufacturer's guarantee. As an ECCO official retailer, we do provide a two-year warranty for products purchased through our online store at gb.ecco.com. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot process claims or make determinations about potential manufacturing faults for products purchased outside of our online store, such as the pair you bought from Amazon"
Just spent £150 on a pair of black shoes that are not fit for purpose
Just spent £150 on a pair of black trainers type shoes for work. I can feel the soles of the shoes when I walk. They also squeak making it impossible to wear then at work. They are poorly made, very uncomfortable, no arch support. Very poor quality indeed.
Eyelets dropped off due to leather…
Eyelets dropped off due to leather securing straps failing. Confirms poor manufacturing
No good
Unhelpful customer service. Poor product. Fell apart within months
Apathetic Customer service & filthy shoes
I went into the Oxford Circus store as their shoes had been highly recommended by a friend. The mature woman who served me was not really interested in finding the right size of shoe for me. She said there wasnt a size 3 and provided me with a size 3.5. The other very proactive sales person , contradicted her and she finally found the correct size.I looked at the bottom of the shoe and it looked like it had been worn a lot & was filthy. The disinterested sales woman told me that lot of people had tried it on and it would have got dirty just by trying it on in their store. No attempt was made to find me a clean pair or find another solution. At and exhorbitant £160 for a pair of trainers, you would assume they would be falling over themselves to serve you and would have at least attempted to clean these shoes. The more proactive staff said she would clean it or I could order it online for click and collect it any of the stores. I was too unhappy with their service to buy their over priced shoes. I'd rather go elsewhere and receommend you also do the same.
