Account banned upon making first listing

Account banned upon making my very first listing despite having a positive and long-standing reputation as a buyer. There is no way of contacting support to have this undone as their support is 100% AI now. Ebay is a completely useless and dreadful company which is unfit for purpose.

I've Thought Long And Hard

I've thought long and hard about whether or not to say anything more about Ebay since I've done so many reviews. Ebay has wallstreet investors otherwise known as institutional investors Vanguard Group, BlackRock inc. State Street Corp. I don't know if CEO Jamie Iannone is still actively CEO. Founder Pierre Omidgu has effectively stepped down from his involvement in day to day operations instead focusing on "supposed charities". While Ebay used to be a site that was relatively transparent and trustworthy that has changed. The focus is now on its institutional investors not on the buyer's. Even if you do a review and it goes against their policy it can be removed even for speaking the truth. Investors don't care about what everyday people and consumers have to put up with the lack of transparency constantly getting scammed and ripped off.

I am using eBay for most of my online purchases and selling. I am getting 5 star services always from eBay. I encourage my friends and other people to use eBay for their businesses . Because it’s a very trusted platform.

Do not use this trash company ever
Ebay nickel and dimes sellers and buyers with taxes and seller fees. I issued a refund because buyer used item two weeks and returned to me, so I did a partial refund, told that shipping label will be returned to me and transaction fees adjusted. eBay charged buyer 43.95 and gave me 11.74 from my own sale. I don't think that is right or fair. When calling eBay they were nice when asking for partial return then after they collect their fees and money, calling again to get my share they didn't seem help care or understand, eBay is a scam company that profits off others loss.

Don't bother- pure stress
They make it impossible to get your money , they add postage options that work for a buyer only and add nothing but drama for the seller . The lose money and say it's gone to postage on a future sold item that postage has already been paid for .
Chat agents are rubbish
Telephone agents are worse

No wonder it's all negative

Title: Disgraceful buyer protection. Forced to use a credit card chargeback to get a refund.

I purchased a Shimano Zee crankset on eBay that was never delivered. Despite the fact that I never received the item, eBay's internal system refused to help or issue a refund. Their "Buyer Protection" completely failed me when it mattered most.
​Because eBay closed the case against me, I was forced to bypass them entirely and file a formal dispute with my credit card company. My bank reviewed the facts and immediately issued a temporary refund because the non-delivery was clear.
​To make matters worse, once you file a chargeback because eBay fails to protect you, they completely lock out your ability to leave feedback for the seller, effectively scrubbing bad experiences from their site to hide the problem. I have since closed my account and will never use this platform again. If you buy here, be prepared to have your bank fight your battles for you.

Limit your buying experience with ebay

I've been a member since 2007 and as the years been going on, let's begin worse and worse. The sellers don't even have the merchandise it comes from home depot, Amazon they use to addresses, saying they're from USA put then your waiting weeks for item that comes from china. Then you report it to eBay, and they do nothing. Ebay's all for the cellars , but they don't realize if there's no buyers , you can have all the sellers, you want.They don't realize that if we don't buy you go out of business and guess what?EBay, this is one thing you cannot erase like you do with feedback sellers leave, and you put what you wanna put.We put negative and just change it to whatever you want now, I limited what I buy on there, I'd rather spend more money in the store. The stuff comes from home depot.Anyway or amazon , better off from amazon good luck in the future.

eBay destroys honest sellers. A breeding ground for scammers.

If you're thinking about selling anything on eBay—run. While buying is fine, as a selling platform, eBay has hit absolute rock bottom.
Pros: None for sellers.
Cons:
Predatory Fees: Between standard cuts and forced advertising/promotions, you end up losing up to 50% of your expected profit. It’s impossible to make money.
Buyer Extortion: The platform is infested with freeloaders and scammers who invent problems out of thin air just to bully you into a refund while trying to keep your item.
Zero Seller Protection: eBay customer support is a total brick wall. They completely ignore your proof and blindly force returns at your expense.
Rigged Feedback System: Sellers are literally blocked from leaving negative feedback for terrible buyers. You can't even warn the community.
Bottom line: eBay has become a toxic, greedy corporate joke. My selling days here are done for good. Highly NOT recommended.

My account was permanently suspended…

My account was permanently suspended without clear details being provided. I was only given a general reason such as “high-risk activity” without any specific explanation. Support keeps repeating the same automated response. I was unable to understand the exact reason or resolve the issue, and the account was suspended suddenly.
In addition, I had funds from completed transactions that were placed on hold, and I was not given clear information about when or how they would be released. The overall experience felt unclear and frustrating due to the lack of transparency.

I feel like ebay customer service has abandoned their post

I don't know what year it changed, but there is no real ebay customer assistance anymore. I am dealing with a "seller" who charged my credit card almost three weeks ago, but has not delivered anything or responded to my messages, yet when I go to cancel the only response I get from ebay is an automated message that the request is denied because it is too late to cancel. I have lost all confidence in ebay as a place to shop.

No Understanding of customer service whatsoever

Rubbish on every level. Agent rings you as requested and when can't find an answer simply disconnects. On 3rd try at the minute to find out why my negative feedback of a scammer was removed, and the agent has simply left me on hold for the last 13 minutes, apparently hoping I'll get bored and disappear.

Nope, after 14 minutes he just disconnected as well.

I am (or was) a seller on Ebay

I am (or was) a seller on Ebay. I have found their practices to be very disturbing. Ebay made $1000 from fees of the 15 items I sold. And per THEIR POLICY payments are held until 2 DAYS AFTER DELIVERY CONFIRMATION. Now after I have sold and SHIPPED everything using their shipping labels (so they could track), I am waiting on my first payouts. I then get a restriction on my account saying payout on hold til I provide tracking information 🤷‍♀️. THEY HAD THE TRACKING NUMBERS ON EVERYTHING BEFORE I DID. So I called to find out wth was going on, talked to 3 of the rudest guys. Then I was informed I would not recieve my money til up to 7 days AFTER ALL 15 PACKAGES were confirm delivered. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE EBAY TO SELL ANYTHING. Their customer service is a joke and policies FRAUD.

eBay is a skam

eBay is a skam. I paid for a product I returned it in god time and now i have no product and no money. And the seller of the product has confirmed receiving the product back.
But Anshu Y. from eBay Customer Service told me that the seller Japan Golf Store 611 would not refund and to contact seller direct to get refund.
But i was buying from eBay.

No Response Service

Lately, eBay has become a turtle service, very undependable n irresponsive. I ordered window screen on the 17th of June n it's 25 June today....it has not arrived in ten days a n no one from eBay is giving me response 😭🥺, that discouraging me buying anything in future from eBay....3 days delivery promised, taking for ever....😭

Will never buy from them again. Customer Service horrendous

I bought an item that should have arrived on the 13th June. The tracking wasn’t accurate and kept changing. 4 days in a row it said it was being delivered and nothing. The seller was no help as it was sent Simple Delivery! Nothing simple and no one gave a toss. It then said it was at my shop next door only to go there and be told the courier had taken it back 😡 next thing I know it was back at the senders sorting office. I asked EBay for a refund and was told to wait until 24th which I did. Now I’m told to wait until 29th which isn’t acceptable. As I needed the item before then.

Thanks Ebay, using you for over 20 years and I am still under 18

Usually problems with Ebay are with selling. Now I find that they are completely useless with buying. I wanted to bid on some antique chisels, bladed articles. But although I have been using Ebay for over 20 years and they have my credit card number my age is apparently under 18. All the help is about verification after purchase, not a word about what to do before bidding. All the help I can get is an artificial stupidity system telling me there is no agent as it is out of hours despite being well into their stated business hours.
