I had a disappointing experience with Easy Car Keys when I locked my car keys inside my vehicle on a Saturday. Here’s a summary of what happened:
Upfront Payment: I had to make an upfront payment of £80 before they agreed to send out a technician. This seemed reasonable at first, given the urgency of my situation.
Response Time: The service technician called to inform me that he would only be able to come the next day between 10 AM and 2 PM. This was already frustrating as I needed immediate assistance.
Failed Attempts for Urgency: Despite several calls requesting to expedite the service, as I was blocking a road and causing inconvenience to others, nothing was done to address the urgency of the situation. Additionally, I was at a location that was not easy to reach, which added to the complexity of my situation.
Refund Issues: After the promised timeframe elapsed without any service, I requested a refund. Initially, the refund was sent to the wrong account. After further intervention, I finally received my money back, but with a £10 deduction as a service charge.
Overall, the service was highly unsatisfactory. They failed to provide timely assistance and mishandled the refund process, adding unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. I do not recommend Easy Car Keys based on my experience.
