This 83 year old has been waiting 9 months for a blue badge, and even though ESCC have some of my medical history, including sever lung problems and the use of inhalers, they sent me a letter recently refusing me a Blue badge, stating I do not qualify, I AM DEVISTATED !!!!!

March 22

March 22, 2025 on the A275, near Cumnor House school I hit a pothole. It was 70 cms long, 46 cms wide & 9 cms deep, it burst a tyre. Total cost to me was £310. I wrote to East Sussex Highways- Balfour Beatty - sent pictures, receipts & my statement. On May 30 finally received a reply from them. The gist of it was it was inspected March 10, 2025 - no actionable defects found, even though that area of road has been in a terrible state for over a year. $ days after this incident that particular pothole was filled in.! So, they won't reimburse me the £310. Absolutely shameful of ESCC. I'm a pensioner & can't afford to lose that type of money. I bet their managers get a nice big salary. ESCC should hang their heads in shame!!!!!

Tory Run Council

I believe

Be aware East Sussex county council staff are changing care and housing reports behind constituents and members of public backs

Make sure you have given no consent to anyone in adult social care or children’s department at this council they’ll deceive you and do things you haven’t agreed with

Revoke your data protection rights in writing to them asap

Pathetic performance by Highways Directo…

Useless highways department led by overpaid highways Director and overpaid director of economy and transport who couldn't run a "you know what" in a brewery. Keep reporting road defects in St. Helens Road Hastings and Bexhill Road St Leonards and they try to deny any defects exist. I suggest we withhold the portion of council tax that goes to them for fraudentply taking the money and not delivering event he most basic Repairs that the tax payers have paid for. Also call for their resignation supported by a no confidence motion in Rupert.clubb And Karl Taylor the two incompetent directors involved

Hastings Library run by the counsel is…

Hastings Library run by the counsel is better then if it was private. But when your told you cant have any more then 2 hours when there is two thirds of a floor with pc's available its a bit insulting to say the least. It only takes for me to get a different staff member to see this and add more time.
There are staff there who seem to make unreliable, unprofessional misinformed and disillusioned decisions. Not just on this occasion.
The other point id like to raise is that the government needs to employ more staff it seems in libraries who can cover all floors of a library. two floors have no staff half the time in Hastings for instance. this seems unsafe and there is just no service on those floors
