Laura and the team in the lettings department manage my property very well.
Laura is always so communicative and friendly.
Also they have provided very good service re deposit returns.

Their communication was shocking

Their communication was shocking, delays after delays. If you are buying a house I would shop around before considering Eastons Solicitors.

Their ineptitude cost me an extra £1,200 in expenses because they took at least 4 weeks longer than they needed.

Their excuse was, they were very busy handling a large volume or sales and purchases.

Simple answer would be, either take on extra staff to cope with the volume of business or do not take on the extra volume if you cannot handle it!

Credit to Easton's staff

I believe in giving credit where credit is due and here, I must say, that my expectations were exceeded. As a landlord

As a landlord, absolutely AVOID Eastons ! Your rental property is in demand. There are plenty of lettings agents out there - pick a good one.

AVOID! Disgraceful treatment of tenants. Awful estate management.

We live at Purdey Court Estate, overseen by Eastons. Our experience of Easton's has been nothing short of horrific. My vehicle (and I have confirmed others) have been subjected to multiple, deliberate acts of vandalism. This has been reported to the police and Eastons multiple times. Easton's consistent pattern of indifference has been abominable. Rather than assisting, they offer nothing but excuses, failing to take even the simplest actions like alerting residents to be vigilant or improving CCTV. This is also after another distressing incident of intimidation from a different neighbour, who the police visited and it stopped.

There is a conflict of interest. An individual on the estate, married to a director of the estate's company (who contract Eastons), took it upon himself to create a parking space on a patch of land. He then visited our flat, warning my girlfriend to "not park in his space". When the patch of land was later reclaimed by the estate management company, he became overtly hostile, frequently displaying aggressive looks. It is after this series of events that I experienced repeated vandalism of my car. My girlfriend's car was also damaged on one occasion.

In an environment where residents should feel safe and supported, Eastons has left us feeling exposed to intimidation, vandalism, and at risk. Their approach is not just negligent but there is also a clear conflict of interest (which they of course deny).

Other residents have also experienced car damage (which I suspect is due to territorialism). Nothing has been done about the vandalism or the intimidation we have faced despite our pleas to them.

Whilst we sympathise with your issues may I assure you that we have done all that we can within our remit as your managing agents.
I would say that we have not had any other reports of vandalism at Purdy Court and you have done exactly the correct thing reporting the issue to the Police, who are the only ones with any authority to deal with this situation. I would also reaffirm our offer to provide the police with any assistance we can however have not been approached by them.
You refer to one of your Management Companies directors – there is no connection with anybody at Eastons and as such no conflict of interest.
I would re-confirm that we have not received any other reports of vandalism or intimidation at Purdy Court.

Eastons service is amazing Glenn and his team go out to make the buying and selling a property a memorable experience nothing is too much trouble for them I personally wouldn’t use anyone else

Lavina is a diamond

Lavina is a diamond! Wished she had of been my sales progressor as her customer service was excellent, always reliable & honest. She was always there unlike the chain I employed.
Would definitely use Eastons without any hesitation! Team was superb. Thank you!

Avoid this agent does nothing I lost…

Avoid this agent does nothing I lost £5000, repeat lost £5000 on a new home deposit to a builder and all I got was a ‘sorry’. DO NOT GO WITH ANY PROPERTY ADVERTISED BY EASTONS. I will NEVER.

We are sorry for the loss of your non-refundable deposit to the developer, we tried liaising with them on numerous occasions to get this back but unfortunately, they were unwilling to do so.

We have been asked to remind you that this was clearly stated in the documentation you signed at reservation.
As you are aware the agreed amount was retained by the developer as you did not meet the agreed terms of the reservation.

Once again, we are sorry the sale did not proceed as planned but we did work very hard for you throughout the whole process.

to Southend 2021...our driver was wonderful...funny and polite...dropped off at a easy place for all facilities...for all ages...had such a wonderful day especially the pier...Our driver asked if we all had a great time...wonderful coach drive home...Thank you so much Eastons ..really can't wait for our next day out...

Excellent lettings team

We, as landlords, have been very happy with Eastons over the past 15 years. The lettings team are very professional and have a good rapport with both their tenants and landlords. We have decided to re-let our property with them and look forward to many more years of great service.

Avoid: Rude, Evasive & Ignorant

My daughter was at university in Epsom and she found a property through Eastons that was close to the campus that was advertised including a fortnightly communal area cleaner. The viewing was interesting with the representative from Eastons severely hungover and disinterested in the property.

There were 3 other tenants in the shared house who were in their notice period and soon left. When they left, the entire house was painted, except my daughters room. Contractors would turn up unannounced: 7 people on one occasion being landlord, landlords daughter, estate agent, a viewing, carpet fitter and painters/decorators all in one go!

The smoke detectors became faulty and despite repeated reporting to Eastons, this was not taken care of until I became involved many months later. SAFETY OF TENANTS IS NOT A PRIORITY.

The cleaner never appeared even though this was queried with Eastons, contact was ignored repeatedly.

Whenever contacting Lorraine, Julie, Lavina and Charlotte and we were always fobbed off to someone else, rather than politely forwarding the query. Their attitude is blunt to the point of being rude. In order to get any response from Eastons, rather than being nice you are better mirroring their appalling attitude.

Customer service appears bottom of the priority for this estate agent. Avoid at all costs, even if the ideal property is with them, you are better off going through anyone else.

In response to your reply from previous review, I am actually an estate agent myself out of the area and I am very understanding of certain situations. However, I was initially told the landlord had found his own tenant not through Eastons and then for me to follow it up as it was still showing available and to be told Eastons had someone going through referencing was very disheartening. We never got the opportunity to increase our offer further and we were never told there were multiple people bidding for the flat. We was told there was one other couple and they didn’t get it either. So yes, I feel we were lied to and did not get a fair opportunity to bid for the flat.

We have been in business over 20 years and take customer service very seriously.

The property you were looking at and that you registered your interest and offer of the full price received a lot of interest and numerous offers. I can confirm that your offer was correctly submitted to the Landlord, together with all the others, and duly recorded on our internal CRM.

I confirm again that it is the Landlord that decides which tenant to accept, not ourselves; that your offer was correctly submitted and that we had no preference which tenant was chosen.

With Eastons you can not fault them the service you receive is out of this world they always give you 110% and every time with a polite friendly smile. Eastons please keep up the good work you are unique in the best possible way the housing Market wouldn't be the same without you.Definitely recommend From a cheerful tenant.

They came recommended from a friend, and lived up to the recommendation. Showed initiative, urgency and a great attitude throughout the sale process. Restored my faith in estate agencies, and showed how it should be done. Huge thanks from us.

loyalty

For over 14 years Eastons have been successfully managing the letting of my house in Epsom and introduced many people who have lived there.

For my part I am thankful to their professional teams in managing both the lettings and sales activity. Given that I don’t live locally this continuity has been invaluable.

Great service and sold my house in difficult market

Great experience. Sold our property in very challenging times athe moment and it was surprising how quickly they manage to sell my house. Service was outstanding, communication second to none and was always there to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend these guys.
