East meets dress helped walk me through the process of creating a custom cape and gown. Their team was extremely well communicative, patient, and understanding. They listened to my ideas while giving their expertise and advice.
Even though I didn’t end up ordering with them due to no fault of their own, (my wedding ended up moving forward), I highly recommend them to any bride looking for a unique vision. Their gowns are beautiful and their communication is exceptional.

I fell in love with the Melinda Dress two weeks before my wedding. After sending in my measurements, I wasn’t sure if the dress would make it in time but this company somehow got it to me ahead of the expected delivery date!

Every single person at my wedding complimented the dress, and wanted to know who had made it. The dress made our wedding photos look absolutely stunning!

EastmeetsDress has been amazing to work with for our wedding outfits. I wanted a modern qipao, and they made it easy to customize both my and my husband's outfits. We had regular communication since March, and both outfits arrived ahead of the estimated delivery date with minimal tailoring needed. The quality of the garments was excellent, and their customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for modern, customized outfits.

My husband and I purchased our wedding outfits from EMD and we would highly recommend! My dress fit me right out of the box and I did not need to make any alterations. When my husband's jacket came in, it was much too large (not sure what happened, it seems like they used different measurements than what we provided them) so I contacted the company right away. They were very responsive and even did a Zoom call with us the next day to ensure we were providing the correct measurements. They immediately started making a new jacket for him even before we shipped the first one back (they covered shipping). His second jacket arrived with plenty of time to spare before the wedding and fit much better. Great costumer service and everyone loved our outfits.

Had a great experience ordering the beautiful custom chopsticks - came right on time and the entire team was very diligent.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with East Meets Dress. Since we met in China and wanted to honor his culture, we chose the Gemma Dress and Shang Jacket, customized to our sizes. While the outfits were initially too big, the customer service team was quick to respond and helpful in resolving any issues. The quality and style of both pieces were incredible, making our wedding day even more special.

I had an amazing experience with East Meets Dress! I had a custom dress based off of the Bespoke dresses. The East Meets Dress team met with me multiple times throughout my wedding planning process and answered all my questions tirelessly to ensure my dress was everything I wanted! If you're looking for a modern cheongsam, I highly recommend East Meets Dress!
I did end up however having to alter my dress quite significantly even after having it custom made to my measurements which was somewhat frustrating but I think that's the risk you take with buying a dress online!

First, my friend and I vetted them thoroughly to make sure this was a real small business dressmaker and not a knockoff company like so many other places I've seen (tip - reverse google image search any dress you find to find the original shop!)

I worked with Annie, and she did SUCH an amazing (and patient) job going back and forth with me on the customizations to the dress I wanted, giving suggestions to help me figure out the perfect style for me (instead of the traditionally Chinese collar, we settled on a sweetheart neckline, a halter, and not to put the shiny bits on the flowers).

And they're very legit in making the dress fit. So many places are just, "We'll send you the size 2 we have in stock." Instead, they sent me a PDF with like 22 measurements (which my friend did because it helpfully includes pictures on where to measure) to make it EXACTLY my size, and they give you a small rebate for local tailoring. It takes about 4 months for the dress to arrive in the US because they make it from scratch.

I recommend them 10000000%. They also have an Etsy shop of the same name where you can see that they have thousands of 5 star reviews.

I love how quick the responses were to my concerns about delivery time and any questions I had regarding.

I can confidently say that East Meets Dress has exceeded all our expectations, from selection of products, their product quality, and their customer service.

Selection of Products:
As far as my eyes can see, they have so much stuffs for us to choose from! We had so much fun browsing through the selection and imagining us in the dresses and suits. We even had an outfit for our cat too!

Product Quality:
All our items arrived earlier than expected! We ordered the Emma Bespoke Dress, Melinda Dress, Han Jacket, Song Jacket, Bamboo Chopsticks, Dragon's Gate Heels, and some pet items. Since my wife and I don't typically order clothing online, we were a bit worried about the quality. However, our worries turned into amazement as soon as we unbox our items. The dress was crafted with precision based on the measurements we sent them. The dressmaker was able to put a lot of fine details and customizations into the dress and making it one of the best dress we have ever seen! All the items came in amazing quality, and ones that is built to last. We had so many comments and questions as to where we got our suit and dress :)

Customer Service
One thing I personally do not like is those virtual assistance, and I would say EMD is not that. Anytime I messaged or emailed them, it would be a real human responding to me and in a very responsive timing too! We had a small issue with my wife's wedding dress, and EMD was able to rectify the situation and shipped us the correct item almost right away.

TLDR: We are super impressed and will suggest EMD to anyone.

I recently got married and I had a lot of compliments on the bespoke dress I ordered from East Meets Dress. I ordered the sleeveless Maxine dress with train. The process of giving measurements to East Meets Dress was easy and as soon as I completed that part, the dress arrived at my house much faster than I expected. The dress fit well and I didn't have to do any alterations. It was also very comfortable to wear all day including the photo sessions. I was able to sit comfortably, dance (dancing in the train took a bit to get use to but didn't interfere much with me) and even play the drums in my dress. My wedding was on a fall day and the red really "popped" in the photos. Everyone love my details on my dress from the flowers to the details on the train and I think it went well with the turning of the leaves. I think most people used the word "stunning" to describe me in my wedding dress. I am a bit sad that I don't have another event to wear this dress to.

I couldn't more highly recommend East Meets Dress for your special occasion. I bought the Amal dress for my wedding and I was so impressed by how exact the EMD team took my measurements, the dress fit perfectly upon arrival! Their service team was always extremely responsive to any of my emails or concerns and they honored my $50 tailoring reimbursement. The dress prices are so reasonable for the amount of customization they put in and for the quality of the dress. Would love to support this Asian American owned business in the near future again!

Highly recommend!! As a curvier girl, I was nervous about trying to find a tea ceremony dress that would flatter my shape. The Emma Dress was perfect. Great quality fabric, beautiful, and the right amount of stretch to show off my curves! I had searched through some other Etsy shops, but am so glad I went with East Meets Dress for great quality and customer service.

I can’t believe how beautiful this custom gown is! I’ve never had a customized gown ordered online so I was a bit nervous at first but they answered all my questions very promptly and I was able to obtain my measurement’s accurately. They also double checked with me when some of the measurements seem off. I can’t wait to wear this for my tea ceremony!
