Joke of an airline
Three and a half hours late to Jersey last week (17th) , four and three quarters late back (24th) , joke of an airline, flight to Teesside over ten hours late, don’t know how they stay in business. Avoid at all costs .

This airline thinks nothing of cancelling flights. I was booked onto the first flight from Humberside to Amsterdam for a business day trip. The evening before the flight they cancelled it. I called, and after a painful process they rebooked me onto a flight from Leeds to Amsterdam - also an early morning flight. I paid for parking at Leeds and set an early alarm.
A few hours later they emailed to say the Leeds flight is cancelled! They just cancel flights on a whim with no regard for the extreme inconvenience of passengers.
I now need to call them again to get a refund. I would recommend everyone avoid them.

Consistently the worst airline I have ever used so many aircraft breaking down. If you do ever need to use them be prepared for major delays. In my opinion the CAA should stop them operating

Every time I fly with eastern airways my flight is delayed/ cancelled. They can not be trusted. They are the worst airline in the world. I would rather hitchhike home than spend money on their no show low quality poor customer service crap. Do not give this s**tshow your money, you will only be disappointed

My experience 5 Star by Eastern Airways! Don't Let the Reviews Worry You!
I am genuinely surprised and incredibly impressed by my recent flight with Eastern Airways from Newquay to Southend. Like many others, after booking my flights, I unfortunately stumbled upon some less-than-glowing reviews and honestly started to feel quite anxious about my journey. However, my experience couldn't have been more different – it was truly exceptional from start to finish!
The aircraft itself was spotlessly clean and well-maintained,
I found professionalism and genuine friendliness of the entire staff. From check-in to disembarkation, every member of the team I encountered was courteous and helpful. The captain was provided regular and informative updates about our location and the progress of the flight.
To top it all off, our flight departed exactly on time and even arrived in Southend ahead of schedule!
The comfort of the seats was another pleasant surprise – they even reclined, making the journey even more relaxing. And the complimentary hot towels and choice of free tea, coffee, or water with (free) biscuits or cheddars were a lovely touch that you rarely see these days.
I also have to mention how easy and stress-free both Newquay and Southend airports are to navigate. They truly made the whole travel experience so much more enjoyable and relaxed.
While I can't speak to the technical aspects of aviation safety, the aircraft appeared modern and well-cared for, and seeing the captain diligently conducting pre-flight checks definitely put me at ease.
Honestly, my flight with Eastern Airways was a breath of fresh air. They provided a fantastic service, and I wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again in the future. Ignore any negativity you might read – based on my experience, Eastern Airways deserves a solid 5 stars!
AVOID this airline - they are dreadful
This is an airline to be avoided at all costs- they are beyond dreadful. The worst airline I have ever travelled with and make Ryanair look good !
I am still waiting for them to refund and compensate after they cancelled a flight last minute in August 2024. This flight was cancelled less than 30 mins before take off and after we had checked in and completed security.
We were rudely frogmarched back to check in where staff dealing with the cancellation were rude and obnoxious in attitude when passengers asked questions about alternative travel or reason for cancellation.
Those who chose a refund instead of a flight 3 days later were particularly singled out for rudeness and belligerence from staff, who were really aggressive and nasty.
Eastern Airways Customer Services team have shown nothing but arrogant and ignorant rudeness from start to finish with this claim, even though they have a legally binding duty to provide refund and compensation in this instance.
They e mail giving a set timeline for settlement, then completely ignore that timeline without even bothering to notify or communicate.
When called to ask why they have not met the timeline they gave, their awful customer services representatives are rude and obnoxious and take great delight in uttering what appears to be the company mantra of "the CAA don't set time limits" as if this somehow lets them off the hook.
It's quite clear from the behaviour and attitude of its staff that the company seek to frustrate customers enough that they give up on seeking the refund and compensation they are legally entitled to.
Staff who work for this company also try to extort more money from passengers on return leg journeys over luggage allowance, even when tickets and documents show clear luggage allowances that have been paid for. Customers are then forced to stand their ground, which makes the whole process extra stressful.
They are a despicable company employing despicable practices and even more despicable staff.

Not sure how this airline isn’t a scam. I’ve never had a flight land on time, with repeated 2 1/2 hour delays, which happens to conveniently be JUST under the 3 hour delay compensation fee. Staff friendly and as helpful as they can be, but how this airline hasn’t gone bust yet I will never know.
Awful and no sign of improvement
Eastern have been operating some of the KLM routes to Schiphol from smaller regional airports for a while now. They are consistently late resulting in numerous missed connections and their fleet is so old there are regularly technical issues. Please bring back KLM instead of these amateurs. They've made Jet2 seem a premium option! The one star goes to the airport and cabin staff who are usually good.

Woeful customer support. LGW to NQY delayed by over 4 hours. Compensation apparently due to be settled 10-12 weeks. 6 months later, still nothing received, have chased up on multiple occasions, only recently to be told it is likely to take an additional 8-11 weeks. Shambolic operators.

My flight was delayed by over 7 hours, and East Midlands airways agreed to process my compensation claim. They promised to settle within 10-12 weeks, but after waiting for 12 weeks, I received no update. I emailed them in the 18th week, and they responded with an extension of 3-5 weeks. Now it’s been 27 weeks, which is half a year in total. I sent another email to ask for an update, but they ended up ghosting me.

2nd time I've flown from aberdeen to…
2nd time I've flown from aberdeen to humberside this year delayed 3+ hours both times. Another trick they pull is to combine teeside and humberside flights if they can't fill either one of them. Was given a meal voucher for £5 which boots refuse to accept.
Terrible experience!
My partner was travelling to see me for NYE, the flight was cancelled due to fog(fair enough) but the treatment from handling agents at LGW was frankly disgusting. He was left to get his own transport to Newquay (taxi costing £350!!) the staff refused to help him get the ground transport they’d arranged even though he was at the airport within the allocated time but by the time he got back to the check in desk the rude staff just laughed and said he’s too late. No attempt to help just told him to get his own way back! He finally got to Newquay in taxi at midnight!! The only thing eastern airways have given him is the £64 ticket for the cancelled flight, despite asking for his taxi receipt! They are refusing to reimburse the rest of the taxi fare, no apology and now just ignoring his emails altogether!

They cancelled the flight and have not provided a refund.
Booked a flight. Eastern then cancelled that route. Rather than automatically giving a refund, I had to reply to the email to say I wanted my money back for a flight they cancelled. This was on 14th January and I’m still waiting for my refund (3rd March).
The cancelled flight meant I had to make alternative arrangements for getting home which were, by the time of the cancellation, much more expensive.
