The sproduct itself is great, sadly this is let down by terrible support. Despite having a valid subscription, the product is showing is as invalid. Been in contact with support, they have advised to try the same key which is shown as invalid. I sent screenshots but no furhte response. So despite paying for subscription, I have an unsupported product. Due for renewal soon, I will not be renewing, and will now loook for a free alternative.

I purchased safebit on a £29.95 annual subscription to install on my new desktop. Afrer instaling the program and trying to activate it with the supplied key, th activation froze and I was left with just the trial version valid for 15 days. I contacted East-Tec support but after several reminders I havn't received any response or resolution to the problem. I have therefore asked the selling agent for a full refund and failing which, after 7 days, I shall elevate the matgter to the PayPAl resolution centre.

I wouldn't recommend buying ANY of the products offered by East-Tec since their support is non existant and a totall disgrace

Still receiving very little technical help. When I click on to Privacy Guard the whole program freezes. It looks like there is only a sales team of one or two people running the show. In over 3 months I have not been contacted once by a technician. They claim that their software is regularly updated but I have seen no evidence of that.
There is also no easy way to cancel auto-renew but renewing or extending the subscription is very easy.

I've used East-tec Eraser for about 15 years and have had very few problems with it until now. Recently I bought an SSD external hard drive with the exFAT file system. The drive got totally messed up when I tried to delete and overwrite ("erase") individual files and folders on it. Their support people suggested a ridiculous solution which was bound to fail - as it did - and now they don't seem to want to spend more time on me.

I finally had to format the drive and change the file system to NTSF before East-tec Eraser worked again - of course losing all my data on the drive to get to that point, then re-copy everything from my old HDD external hard drive.

I'm mainly writing this review to warn others that East-tec Eraser won't work properly with exFAT, and to strongly critisize the company for falsely claiming on their website that it will.

The company behind East-Tec Eraser charges you a hefty amount every 12 months for access to updates, and that being the case, they should abstain from misleading and therefore in most countries illegal marketing! This sin may well lead to unpleasant consequences for them...
