First rate paint which is easy to mix and gives excellent and durable coverage. I live in the UK'S wettest city so durability is a must, and Earles masonary paint delivers!

Great advice from David about howe to colour match my existing Dulux paint and about how to prevent pain falling off garden wall.

I purchased a 10L tub of white limewash from Earles Paint recently. It came within 2 days and was very well packaged. The online guides were really helpful and paper copies came in the box too. We applied 3 coats as per the instructions to the front of our bungalow, which was previously a very tired brown artificial stone. The house is now unrecognisable and is beaming! Had a few compliments from neighbours on the change and at the fraction of the cost of getting it re-rendered. When you apply it is very liquid, but you get used to the application and with the guide, you can't go wrong. Wouldn't hesitate to use Earles Paint again!

Very helpful staff and prompt delivery

I used Earles masonry paint on my house. It's lime rendered and was painted with a lime silicate paint supplied by Ty Mawr Lime almost ten years ago. It weathered quite well but was overdue for a repaint. The house is stone/rubble built two storey house that was previously concrete rendered and subsequently had suffered the usual damp issues. The lime rendered resolved that, so it's important to stick with lime based breathable products. I'd previously tried white washing one end of the house but that had flaked off and didn't cover so well..I was very pleased with Earles masonry paint.. it takes a little getting used to as it's a bit like lime wash in that it's like painting with milk and subsequently a messy business (but that might just be me!)so plenty of prep required, use sand on the ground to catch splashes and I masked off our dark framed windows, but it can easily be wiped off with a wet cloth . On a wall that was in reasonable condition I used two coats, but on the gable end that takes all the weather and the front I did 5 coats..it's a very quick process getting it on. In all, almost 9 pots of paint. Mixing only what I'm going to use at a time so using a litre jug measure 3 paint to equal water, mixed easily..thickens after few minutes but then goes thin again! Anyway, the finish is very good . It covered many little hairline cracks easily and is now a good hard Matt finish.
It's almost half the price of the Ty Mawr product..will check back in 10 years to see if it lasted!
Prepped surfaces by spraying with hypochlorite solution and soaking well prior to application.

I ordered in March. There was some (pleasant and courteous) contact from them over the next couple of weeks because of their (not my) concern re. the longevity of the colour on offer/ordered, but as far as I was concerned the order was going ahead. I can find no record of a Despatch Notice. I did not receive notice of an order cancellation or refund. I have raised several queries over the months as to what happened/is happening. In June I was told the item was returned (not by me) to the manufacturer (?). Nearly five months or so later am none the wiser (despite several e-mail promises that they would follow this up) and have received neither paint nor an explanation.
I have given two stars because of the pleasant initial service and conversations but am in reality very disappointed.

Fest delivery which was really appreciated. The lime wash was great quality with excellent coverage.
