When moving to Japan, I knew moving alone with a pet would not only be difficult, it would be expensive. And I wanted to avoid having to fly over without my dog first, pay for his boarding, stay in an AirBnb or hotel, go apartment hunting, apply for apartment after apartment not knowing if I would be approved with enough time to settle in and start my school term. So I decided to contact e-housing and they were able to have an apartment waiting for me the very day I arrived!

Victor was absolutely incredible. He very easily explained to me all aspects of the contract from start to finish, and was an interpreter when I met with a native speaking official to sign the contract. He has been extremely diligent following up all aspects of documentation requirements, both before signing the contract and after, and went personally to take videos and photos of three properties for me beforehand, and then met me at my chosen property as soon as he received the keys!

I could not have asked for more, and for what it's worth - my rent is STILL half of what I was paying in Australia.

My apartment is beautiful. I love my neighbourhood in Shinjuku with such great proximity to everything, particularly my language school in Takadanobaba. And if you're looking for quality apartments, quality service, and especially if you're moving to Japan with a pet/s... trust e-housing. They make the dream REAL. xxx

Lea Kawashima was incredibly helpful throughout my apartment search in Tokyo. She was always responsive and extremely easy to communicate with. She is fluent in English and Japanese which made the entire process very easy to understand.

She did a great job explaining everything clearly and was also very flexible with scheduling and made sure I had multiple good options to consider.

My wife and I were moving to Tokyo and we were looking out for an agent to find an apartment quickly since our temporary accommodation was only for a month. Thankfully, I found e-housing and their agent, Padme who was in touch with me while I was in India and ensured that I was kept upto date with all the listings as per my liking and the processes that we had to follow. As soon as we landed in Tokyo, Padme was constantly in touch and setup a house viewing within a week which helped us narrow down a great property within a week! We had some payment issues due to cross border restrictions with our Indian bank and Padme kept the landlord informed several times going the extra mile. Thankfully, were able to sort it out in time with Padme's idea and a huge shoutout to Padme for dealing with this situation! We will always remember your helping hand! :)

My agent, Padme, was super attentive and always explained everything patiently, answering every single question I had about renting an apartment in Japan.
Actually,we had been looking for an apartment for four months, and we kept in touch the entire time. Since E-Housing is a platform exclusively for foreign renters, I never had to worry about whether an apartment was available for foreigners. Unlike other companies, I didn't have to visit a physical office for hours only to end up applying for the apartment on my own. Instead, Padme helped me through the entire application process—from start to finish—making it possible for me to sign the contract with the landlord.

Because everything was in English and handled entirely online, Padme made the room application process so much easier. She is incredibly smart, always attentive, and easily one of the best agents I have ever met.

I had a great experience working with Lea at E-Housing. She was friendly, patient, and professional. I had limited knowledge of life in Japan and thus was initially uncertain about some of my preferences, Lea showed me a range of properties and refined the search with my feedback. She was also fast with communication and very accommodating for my schedule. Unfortunately I did not pass the screening for my ideal apartment and settled for a back-up choice with another agent, but I am very grateful for the excellent assistance provided by Lea and would highly recommend her.
