Paid £99 for Dyson service on my vacuum…

Paid £99 for Dyson service on my vacuum cleaner 7weeks ago. Machine was returned with the ball in pieces. A repair was booked with a wait time of 2 weeks but was returned to me again this time with a broken handle. A new repair was booked with another 2 week wait. It was due to have been collected today but no one turned up. I called Dyson again spoke to someone on a very bad line who didn’t speak great English and they cut me off so had to call again. Fortunately the second call went better and I did manage to speak to someone helpful but discovered that my anticipated repair had been lost in the system and it wouldn’t be collected today and a new date was booked for another 2 weeks.
Dyson needs to sit up and listen to all the complaints. My machine wasn’t initially broken it only required servicing everything else has been caused by your workshop and has resulted in 2 extra collections and deliveries by couriers all of which must add up to a considerable amount of money lost to the company and even greater loss of goodwill from me.

I have purchased a 799£ item from Dyson…

I have purchased a 799£ item from Dyson in July.
It was delivered (left in the street, in front of my front door). I live in a busy area, of course a Dyson package can be easily stolen.
I never found my package. Requested a new delivery to a post office to make it safer. The delivery never happened.

Now, 7 months later and I am still waiting for a resolution! I have asked to escalate the case but nothing is ever resolved

Horrific customer service

Bought a Dysonfor Christmas. Bought myself a display case on 25/12. Had to email 3 times to get this to be sent. Came damaged - glue had become unstuck. It took over a month to arrive. I couldn’t access the refund/return slip due to them asking for a ‘zip code’ which we do not have in the Uk. Eventually managed to get a response having cancelled it through my bank. At this point they sent me another returns label and gaslight me ‘it’s probably in your spam’. Buy what you want from John Lewis or somewhere else.

If I could give MINUS 0 stars I would

If I could give MINUS 0 stars I would. This company is SO incompetent, I'm now having to take my warranty issue to the next level. They have basically stole my hair dryer and never followed through on their promiseSSS, to replace, after they promised TWICE now I would receive overnight delivery. Taking this to my solicitor this week.
Will never purchase with them again.

Overpriced and underwhelming—motor dies after 2 years

We live in a small flat and barely use our Dyson, yet after almost exactly 2 years—right when the warranty ends—we’re told the entire motor needs replacing for £100. For such an expensive vacuum, this feels completely unfair and ridiculous. At this rate, you might as well buy a £100 vacuum and replace it every two years. Terrible durability and disappointing customer care.

Unacceptable quality!

I can see how trust in Dyson quality dwindled down in disproportion to the price of their products.
I bought a Dyson Vacuum cleaner just over 2 years ago. It was the most expensive option out of similar rivals from different brands.
Just a little over 2 years after the purchase, and as soon as the warranty expired, My V12 absolut started falling apart.
First it stopped suction voluntarily and intermittently, then it became more often, like an old engine that struggles to start up. I spoke to the customer services of Dyson and was advised that this was the lithium battery natural wear and tear, and a new battery was purchased, it wasn't cheap (£100), but the problem persisted. It was later found that the issue was with the engine. Reluctantly with replaced it. The product is very flimsy, but it worked until recently, when the floor brush Motorhead stopped working suddenly.
Now this is another part of the item that has to be replaced. And it isn't cheap again!!!

This way soon i'll have a completely new vacuum unit, but with no warranty, and for double the price.
This is unacceptable. I could have just bought myself a different hoover for a fraction of the initial price.
Dyson brand isn't the same. It lost its quality!
Infinitely disappointed!

This is a top up.
I have originally left this review on 13/02/2026 and today on 14/02/2026 I have to add that yet another part of this item just broke. This time it's the tube. You'd expect things like hoover to be solid, as you'd perform vigorous job with it, yet this "cheap" plastic is so overwhelmingly fragile and untrusty.
Totally unworthy of the money!

You just can't make it up! It's just falls apart day by day! Such inadequate quality

Please do something about it Dyson

Worst customer service

Worst customer service. I ordered a wand replacement from Dyson and when attempting to pay for the order via Apple Pay, the Dyson website showed a problem with payment authorisation. I attempted to pay again and as a result, two orders were placed and two sets of payment taken. I called Dyson to cancel the orders and submitted a form to cancel the orders due to purchasing a new vacuum. One order was refunded. The second order has not been refunded. I have spoken to four different customer service representatives and a virtual Dyson agent. All have said they are awaiting an update from the Dyson warehouse about the wand being returned. Today, I spoke to a customer service advisor called Natalia who said that due to the address being shown as a test address, the wand was never delivered. I said I have Ring Doorbell footage showing the wand being attempted to be delivered by their delivery agent twice with the date and time showing. She said well there is no delivery address so no wand was sent out. I said so what about my refund? That makes no sense. She said I was being argumentative and I was not listening to her. She then asked me if she could help me with anything else. I said if you haven’t been able to help me with my refund request what makes you think you could help me with “anything else”? This is daylight robbery. Dyson pocketing monies from customers due to a glitch in their website and then asserting oh there is no address on your order so no refund. That too when the billing address on that same order is my correct and complete address. Avoid Dyson as they clearly do not care for their customers. Their advisers are rude and looking for any reason to end the call.

Terrible Reliability

I have already stopped buying Floorcare Machines, but for my wife 2 hairdryers, both of which had multiple repairs and 2corale straighteners in, the new replacement now fully broken ( just outside warranty ) with high repair price and no flexibility to help any level of customer loyalty or brand, I will not use Dyson ever again. Shame. Nice products, terrible reliability, poor servuce

Avoid this company

Avoid this company – terrible product and even worse customer service.

I purchased a Wash G! and it is extremely poor quality. It takes an unreasonable amount of time to clean properly, and removing the tray is difficult and uncomfortable to the point where you risk injuring your hands. It is badly designed and not fit for purpose.

Because the product was unacceptable, I requested a return under their stated returns policy. This is where the real problems began. They failed to turn up to collect the item as arranged. I was then sent a DPD return label instead.

Despite the item being returned and me providing clear proof of return, the company is now refusing to issue a refund, claiming they need to “locate” the parcel. Until they do so, they say they cannot refund me. This is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a lack of basic customer service competence.

The entire experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and unnecessarily stressful. I would not trust this company to honour their returns process and strongly advise others to shop elsewhere.

Zero customer service - they just fob you off and never resolve anything or pass anything off. You may as well talk to your dog for help these guys are just rude and condescending.
There are no spare parts available for the new vacuum and no info as to when they may be available.
Awful company that doesn’t respect its customers.

Dyson ball will not pick up hair only from carpet

I have a Dyson ball suction good but will not pick up long hair on bedroom carpet.
it’s been back 3 times now and just had email telling me,the filter was full of debris which is a load of rubbish as I washed and dried as I have done every time it went back.
Had the head changed and still won’t pick up from carpet.
The engineers have just lied and I told the lady that and it’s wrong to phob people off when they can’t get to grips why it’s not picking up.
I have had Dyson hoovers for over 20years and never had a problem with cordless one but this one ball load of crap.
Need to find out where and what can be done about it as it is now a year old and getting no where with the company

If I could zero stars I would!

If I could zero stars I would!
I ordered a replacement part for my vacuum cleaner on 17th January. Still not arrived as of today, 3rd February, despite the website stating 3-5 days.
I called their "Customer Service" yesterday to enquire. They placed another order. It was only later that evening I checked my email - they entered the incorrect delivery address!
I called AGAIN today. They have placed ANOTHER order promising delivery in 3-5 days.
Dyson charged my credit card immediately on 17/01/26. Shocking!
No email address on their website, only the 0800 number. That should have been a red flag straight away.
Let's see if it turns up - I wouldn't be surprised if I receive 3 of them!
I initially purchased the item at John Lewis. Such a shame they don't do replacement parts otherwise I would have gone to them instead.
I hope James Dyson reads these reviews! He needs to know that his company is failing BADLY in customer service.

No email reference numbers from them just a bot. Dreadful. AVOID.

Dyson failure

I have purchased Dyson hoovers since the launch of Dc01, but it is sad to see the decline of UK company thats product & customer services were once superb! My V11 broke down just before Christmas. Spoke to Dyson 21/12/25 and they advised they no longer have engineers but listened to the sound over the phone and diagnosed I would need replacement motor & cyclone. They quoted 3 days delivery, I asked Dyson to hold the parts details on my account, as could not order until after Christmas as would not be available to take in delivery. Rang back after Christmas ordered & paid for parts (£99.00) and was advised 3-5 business days for delivery. Money was taken from my account by Dyson immediately. Weeks later no part arrived, I could not get through to their Customer Service department despite ringing several times and being put on hold over an hour each time. There is no email or address for enquiries or complaints. Finally received a generic email 08/01 to advise due high demand my order would be delayed. The part finally arrived 26/01/2026, weeks after payment was taken. However the motor & cyclone body sent by Dyson are incorrect. The motor / cyclone is for the new V15 range that has a click in battery, so not compatible with my v11 with the original 3x screw battery pack. I was told the original motor/cyclone is out of stock so I will have to wait further 6+ days would not commit to exact date. I said due to the long delay I’d already encountered could Dyson not send me the new click battery instead as a goodwill gesture, I was told no. I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told no, as they would tell me the same thing. I asked for Dyson to register a formal complaint on my behalf, I asked for email confirmation this had been done. I was told the complaint would be registered, but they could not send me a confirmation email to evidence this. I asked what the timeframe for formal a complaints procedure? I was told probably a couple of days, so it appears Dyson don’t even have a transparent complaints process with clear & defined timeframes for response. It’s nearly 6 weeks ago I paid Dyson £99 for a part that hasn’t arrived, so I still have no working machine to hoover and I have cats & dog. I have received no response from Dyson to my formal complaint, not even an acknowledgment from their complaints department. Clearly from the number of complaints on TP with no response, Dyson no longer care about good customer service experience . I will now be writing Dyson ceo and also informing trading standards!

Don’t even consider buying Dyson

Despite being a repeat Dyson customer I will NEVER buy from them again. My latest purchase was a £300 hairdryer which unfortunately stopped working after 8 months - well within the 2 year warranty. I first reported this on 10 November and was advised I would receive a replacement and to return my faulty product. It’s now two and a half months later and nothing! I have contacted them at least 20 times. Always apologetic and so helpful that they would immediately sort the issue and I would receive a call back and delivery information. Never once have I been called back. They even had the audacity to send me a survey to rate my replacement product. It has been one lie after another to the point they have just worn me down to the point where I know they have no intention of replacing my broken hairdryer. Exactly what they wanted. They also “don’t have the facility to take complaints “. There is literally no one or contact details to issue a complaint. And apparently they don’t have managers - because I was never put through to one despite asking to escalate the issue. I just can’t believe the atrocious customer service of a company that is perceived as a luxury brand. If you are considering Dyson - DONT! If something goes wrong you’ll get zero help and support from them. Not worth the risk when you consider the price of their products.
