Great products, broken customer service.

I love Dyson products, but their customer service in the Czech Republic is poor.

I ordered a Dyson V8 during a sale and received a confirmation email stating it was on its way. Out of nowhere, Dyson cancelled the order without any warning or notice. In fact, I only discovered it had been cancelled because my money randomly reappeared in my bank account—no email, notification, or explanation was ever sent.

When I contacted support via WhatsApp, the agent first claimed my phone number was "incomplete", even though my order receipt clearly showed my correct 9-digit number. When I pointed out that their own checkout page forces a pre-filled "+420" country code prefix, the agent changed his story. He was unable to reinstate my original order and instead suggested I place a new one and pay again—but now at a higher price. When I asked how to enter the phone number avoid buggy system issues again, when doing a new order myself online the agent suddenly managed to manually update the order (using the same ‘incorrect’ format I used the first time). Not sure why this could not be done with the original order.
If they can fix a phone number issue manually to reach a new payment, they could’ve done it to the original order.

Dyson makes 5-star machines, but they have 1-star support.

Don't buy from Dyson CZ if you don't want to waste your time in case you need customer support

I urge anyone out there not to buy directly from Dyson CZ. Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Firstly, they refused to proceed with partial return of my order - absolutely ridiculous! Next, company is breaking their own policy - I refer to refund in 14 days. It's been more than a month since goods was returned yet I haven't received any refund yet. I will never ever buy directly from them even if price drops by 50%. All wasted time afterwards is not worth it. It's a shame that Dyson does not take any action as clearly purchasing directly from them is better for their own profit but the incompetence of their service is 'sending' customers to their dealers. They should also recognize they aren't only one on the market... If I can give a negative start, I would certainly do so. All in all, to me Dyson CZ is UNTRUSWORTHY and I will never buy again from them. I just hope they will refund one day!!

My experience is that I will never again purchase through dyson.cz.
If I ever buy a Dyson product in the Czech Republic, I will use mujdyson.cz only.

On 24 July 2024, I purchased a Dyson Gen5detect Absolute vacuum cleaner from Dyson Netherlands via the online store dyson.cz. The product was paid for and delivered, but later a defect appeared, which I reported on 4 January 2025.

They did not handle my claim within the 30-day statutory period, despite my repeated urgencies (in particular on 10 January, 28 January, 14 February, and 24 February 2025). Throughout the communication (which was only via WhatsApp), they repeatedly acknowledged the existence of the defect as well as the fact that the replacement part was in stock, but stated that due to a “technical issue” they were unable to supply it. The legal deadline for resolving the claim has long since passed.

Due to this delay, on 24 February 2025 I notified them of my withdrawal from the purchase contract pursuant to Section 19(4) of Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection. Dyson did not accept this withdrawal and did not respond even to my repeatedly sent pre-litigation notice (in both English and Czech). I will therefore continue even more actively in asserting my rights.

My experience is that I will never again purchase through dyson.cz.
If a Dyson product, then in the Czech Republic I will use mujdyson.cz only.

The worst experience I ever had with…

The worst experience I ever had with any warranty claim . Customer service is outsourced and for 6 months now they are telling me that they ordering system is not working . All I need is my brush to be replaced. I end up being on probably 10+ chats with them in last 6 months. They are either lying that part will be shipped within 48h or faking that they system just stopped working. NEVER BUYING dyson AGAIN . @Dyson case 37924168 or 38200089 //

Dyson blatantly ignores the EU Consumer Directive

Jesus, where can I give them a negative number of stars? Dyson is easily the worst company I have dealt with in the last 5 years. So I ordered a fan which I decided to return. There is no automated process to get a return label, you have to contact their customer service on WhatsApp. Customer service has been deceiving me with misleading information at every step. They are inflexible and insist on their lies even when presented with evidence such as pages on the Dyson website. They are absolutely unhelpful even when presented with simple requests. After endless hours pestering them I got my refund back, but it shouldn't have been this hard. After this harrowing experience, I have the following notes for the next poor souls who make the mistake of trusting this abysmal company. And for Dyson lawyers -- these are my own impressions and opinions.

1. Customer support is not there to help you, it is there to shield the rest of the company from you.

2. Pester customer support endlessly asking for a resolution until they close the chat on you. Repeat next day. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

3. Always ask for specific dates: "Please state the day I will receive the refund in my bank account."

4. The EU Consumer Rights Directive gives merchants 14 days to process a refund. If you provide them with proof of delivery, they are not allowed to extend this period to wait for the delivery of the return item. Dyson is blatantly breaking the law here, as it took them 30 days to process the refund.

5. They are also breaking the law by telling customers that refunds take 15 business days. The EU Consumer Rights Directive does not specify business days. It says 14 days, and it means calendar days.

6. Take a photo of the return item with the return label attached just before you drop it off at the shipping company. That will strengthen your proof of delivery.
