We bought a sofa from dwell a few years ago and decided it was time to wash the covers. First, we placed it in gentle wash at forty degrees and the covers came out in absolute SHREDS, including the small cushion covers. I could not believe my eyes. Also, when I took the covers off to wash I saw how cheap quality the inner covers were which were already ripped, sticky and poor quality material. Every single one of the 8 covers I washed came out absolutely shredded, it was abominable. I have to now buy bed covers to use over the sofa because I cannot afford to buy another sofa. The sofa looked really good quality from outside but unfortunately was actually really cheaply made and was not worth the 1.5k I spent on it whatsoever. Please avoid purchasing their sofas at all cost. I will try the customer service but the reviews here are not promising.

Bed frame from dwell
Dear Dwell,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the bed frame that I recently purchased from dwell. The quality of the product is extremely poor, and it has not lived up to my expectations.
Upon receiving the bed frame, I noticed several issues. The materials used seem to be of low quality and have already started showing signs of wear and tear. The frame itself feels flimsy and unstable, making it difficult to have a restful night's sleep.
I expected better from a reputable brand like Dwell. I have always trusted dwell products for their durability and craftsmanship, but this particular purchase has left me extremely dissatisfied. I believe that a bed frame is a fundamental piece of furniture, and it should be able to provide comfort and support for a long time.

terrible company do not use. Sofa arrived damaged dropped off the back of the lorry paid £100 for delivery declined still waiting for a refund weeks and weeks later, despite numerous emails.
Damaged furniture and poor customer service
Ordered several large pieces of furniture. Contacted by delivery service to alert me that large vase was broken whilst in their care . 12 days after placing order still waiting for replacement from Dwell . Furniture order delivered efficiently though told by delivery person that if there is problem with the marble let dwell know . Well, there’s a lot of damage to the furniture. Dwells answer is to send someone to repair damage which I refused . I asked for furniture to be either uplifted and replaced or a refund . Needless to say after 4 days I’m waiting to hear from Dwell other than email saying they’re so busy and will get to me as soon as they can !
Customer service pays lip service to problem which irritates me !
This is a shame as previously I’ve had excellent customer service .

I am not one to complain but dwell customer service is abhorrent.
I received a damaged and faulty free standing mirror, I emailed customer services with photo evidence requesting a refund, as advised on their website. I received no response so I decided to call to query and was told I would be contacted within 72 hours. This passed and I was not contacted, I called again and was told to wait until the following monday and that I could make a complaint if no one gets in touch; again no contact. I called again to complain and was told as its a complaint I would be contacted either that same day or 24 hours. This time passed with no contact.
I called to escalate the complaint and was met with such unwillingness to help and I hate to say it but incompetence: the advisor denied what I was told and repeatedly stated "you will be contacted in 72 hours". I reiterated many times that 72 hours has well passed, this isnt subjective, its a matter of fact and my records of contact are on the system. He denied everything and refused to help.
I called 5 minutes later and another advisor informed me I should be contacted today and if not I can escalate to speak to a regional manager. He appeared more helpful than the previous advisor but as with all, he could not explain why every single advisor was telling me different things. No one was taking any accountability. Still waiting to be contacted.
It seems they have zero intention to issue refunds, which is illegal. You cannot send damaged products and refuse to engage with customers when they want their money back. Completely shocked this company is part of dfs and that they think they can get away with this. I will be going to trading standards.
Leather chairs crack and peel with light use
I bought a 2nd hand glass dining table with 4 leather chairs. The table seats 6.
I thought I had a bargain as chairs sold for £120 each and table was £349. How wrong was I. I can only assume the seller had 6 seats bit used 2. Realised they were awful and unusable so binned 2 chairs and sold it on.
I had family up for dinner (with a puppy) when they left I noticed some claw marks on the chair and blamed the puppy, someone must have held the dog and its claws damaged the chair. Wrong !!
I live alone and the chairs have very occasional use. Each chair has cracked and peeled. Start of looking like scratch/claw marks and gradually wears away. It's so infuriating. Had I paid £480 for these chairs I would be fuming.

Significant issues with customer service, delivery. Highly skilled in fobbing people off.
For £700 I bought swivel dining chairs. The build was so poor (flimsy metal base) that the chairs toppled when sat on. This is potentially very serious. As a person could fall backwards and sustain multiple injuries including to the head and spine.
Replaced these with four legged chairs, in leatherette. Within months the material has literally peeled off on virtually all the chairs. The covering isn't even paper thin. The chairs are also tiny with no real padding. Just this tissue paper thin veneer of leatherette, (aka plastic). These chairs must cost them £5 from China. Yet I paid £90 per chair.
On calling them they denied any responsibility, claiming they only own the brand dwell, because the company has ceased trading. What a lie. The chairs are an embarassment and it will cost me just to throw them away.
Poor quality sofa
Poor quality sofa, I would avoid like the plague! I purchased the Marseille 3 seater leather sofa and matching footstool 3 years ago and from the get go it was poor. It has been discontinued about 1 year ago now I believe and my guess is that the quality mush have played
part in this. The seat cushions started sagging after just 6 months, now they look horrific. I contacted customer services at the time and they refused to do anything about it and after several emails and calls they offered to send out someone to have a look for a fee! Now the sofa is worn to bits and the "leather" rubbing off in places. The leg on the footstool broke after about 12 monnths and has been giving us problems ever since and now holes are appearing in thepoor quality "leather". I cannot express enough how I would urge anyone to AVOID THEIR SOFAS!!

Should have read these reviews before giving my money to this company. They are illegally refusing a refund for plates that arrived smashed and that they do not have in stock to replace, as well as refusing a refund *after* agreeing and collecting the returned goods.
Absolutely awful. The customer service team tried to make it sound like they were 'doing me a favour by offering store credit.

Lovely mirror but if you are not sure if you will need to return anything don’t buy from their website! Luckily the mirror was fine but I also ordered two lamps - one I don’t like and one is damaged. Have emailed Dwell 5 times now and have called everyday but phone lines are never open. No idea how else to get in touch. Shocking considering the price.

We ordered 2 notch wardrobes from dwell and paid a joiner to build them, he built the 1st wardrobe with out any issues but the quality was on par with IKEA so very disappointed on opening the packaging for the 2nd wardrobes he noticed missing parts so he called me up and asked if he could call dwell on my behalf because I was at work so I said yes so I left it with him to sort out he called me later that day to say that he had spoken to someone at dwell called Joe who said he was the manager of the company who said he couldn't help because he wasn't the customer but I gave him permission to act on my behalf which he stated so thanks to dwell I am being delayed in moving home and I've ended up with a bill from the joiner for having to make a second visit because of very poor customer care from a person who lied saying he was the manager of the Company when clearly he wasn't so I wouldn't recommend this company to my worse enemy disappointed.

Ordered dining table in Oct and delivery date was 17th Dec 21. That was great because it is in time for Christmas. Delivery team turned up with table base without table top. So they said they will arrange redelivery hopefully a complete dining table base and table top. Delivery team get back to us today saying our table won't be delivery until 4th Jan 2022!!! They can't do anything about it. We have to accept it even though it is their fault at first place. Phone customer care services, the team told me what customer service care can do for us is limited. If it is limited you can do, there is no point for having customer care services thart cannot help your frustrated customer!!Since I bought dining table from DFS (dwell is part of DFS) , customer care service team redirect me to DFS. Spoke to DFS customer team today, they hopefully loan us table so we won't have our Christmas meal without table. However, still waiting reply from DFS regarding loan table. Ruined our Christmas @dwell poor customer service poor delivery team @dwelluk
