A very professional and well organised garage. Clear pricing ( significantly less than main dealers). My car had service, MOT, Brake fluid change and Air Con service - very pleased with the work, the car was ready when I requested and everything went smoothly.
The garage was recommended to me by a friend and I can highly recommend it also.

I have been to this garage multiple times with my car and found them to be reliable and honest. Which is a godsend in the mechanic world. Truthful about the problems and reasonable in solutions to fix them. Always kept well informed with what's going on. Other family members also use them regularly for services etc and I would highly recommend them as a friendly, honest and professional local garage.

Took my car to Dunnington to get air conditioning serviced and new gas. Such a friendly team and when I first called them managed to fit it in that day. They were very helpful and explained costs before it was taken so i knew what to expect.
They rang me that afternoon when it was ready and charged me a very very fair price.
All in a great garage which I will definitely be back to.Highly recommend

I moved to the area 3 years ago and this was my local garage.
I have been using Dunnington Motor Care for our two family cars since this time. On Monday I logged onto DVLA and realised my MOT was due the next day. (The first day back to school for the children) and my partners working away… absolute panic stations. I rang Dunnington motor care and spoke to Graham who said he would make sure he could fit it in, so I took it the next day at 9am. My car failed the mot :( he gave me a courtesy car and even managed to get the parts ordered , fitted and my car back to me by tea time 🌟.
To say they went above and beyond for a stressed mum with no organisational skills whatsoever is an understatement I can’t thank them enough.
Thank you Graham and the wonderful ladies on the desk you literally saved the day!!!

I took my car here for a service . From start to finish I had a great experience. The staff were friendly , the service was very prompt and reasonably priced . The initial greeting and waiting area for great with offering of seating and coffee area. I would highly recommend to others.

These people have some kind of deal with the RAC. So when my car broke down with a leaking power steering hose and no garage in York would look at it I decided to have the RCA send it to my garage 185 miles away.
When the RAC turned up (over three hours later) they tell me they can send it to a local garage. So after a farce where the pick-up truck was sent to the wrong address and I missed an important business meeting the car was sent to Dunningtons.
On the phone they tell me the head gasket has gone implying the car is a write-off. This is not correct. So I go back to the RAC and get them to follow my initial instruction and have the car sent to my garage in Essex.
Dunnington want me to pay an inspection fee. Dunnington also want me to pay a daily storage cost. Dunnington have no contractual right to demand this payment and the car owner (who has no contract with Dunnington) have no obligation to pay these costs. This was explained to Dunningtons.
When the car arrives at my garage in Essex the driver’s manual is not in the glove-box. After a complaint to the RAC that lasted over a month and where I suspect the RAC lied I still do not have my driver’s manual. I contacted Dunnington’s to ask if they have the manual or whether the RAC contacted them looking for the manual. Dunningtons don’t have the courtesy to reply to my mails.
So they took my car:
1. mis-diagnosed the problem,
2. tried to charge me for amounts they had no right to,
3. lost my driver’s manual, and
4. don’t even reply to my requests for the return of my property.
Leave your vehicle with these people at your own risk.
If they think they have a right to withhold my manual because they think I owe them money they do not. They cannot exercise a lien over my goods if they do not have a contractual right to the moneys they claim. If they don’t understand that they should seek legal advice.
It has taken them seven months to write what appears to be disingenuous twaddle and vaguely veiled threats.
Bring it on Duncington Motors.
