Fast move, truck 149

The move by Dumbo was seamless while last minute they accommodated well and they were fast and efficient but most importantly professional. Will definitely be using Dusan who was swift and handled my items with care

My experience was great!! My 2 movers was amazing!! I was overwhelmed and they told me to have a seat and they took care of everything. When I got to the new apartment they look at the boxes and put each boxes in the room it supposed to be in .. I give them 100

I can’t recommend Chino and Miguel from Dumbo Movers enough. On a hot summer day, they moved a heavy mahogany bedroom set from an apartment in NYC to Bergen County, NJ, and they were absolute professionals.

They were incredibly careful and considerate with the heavy furniture, and remarkably patient with me while positioning the rugs and pieces. They even took extra time to ensure the dressers and bed were completely stable. When I changed my mind about the initial placement of a couple of heavy pieces, they were incredibly gracious and understanding about shifting them around.

If you use Dumbo Movers, absolutely ask for Chino and Miguel. They turned what could have been a stressful day into a seamless, excellent experience!

They were communicative and arrived during the time period. They moved efficiently and got everything where it needed to be.

tldr: valuable items we packed ourselves, worth over $2000 missing after move and we can't even file a police report.

Warning to anyone considering this company. They quoted 30 boxes after reviewing photographs of our entire apartment. We then packed half ourselves to protect valuables — yet they somehow packed far more than 30 boxes from the remaining half. Why? They pack deliberately loose to inflate box count, since they're paid per box. They even boxed furniture items like an air purifier and plastic drawers.

It gets worse. The mover offered to not report the inflated box count to the company — if we tipped him extra. We declined, and the company tried to charge us hundreds of dollars. When we threatened to audit every box for loose packing, they waived the charges.

When our belongings came out of storage, we found: damaged furniture, a scratched door handle, broken items, and incomplete packing. Their "unpacking service" meant dumping everything on countertops.

Most seriously: multiple valuable items we packed ourselves — perfume, makeup, a designer bag, and cash — went missing from boxes we personally packed. We did not expect packers to go through boxes we packed ourselves. And after we raised this, we discovered something far worse — contracts in our file with signatures we never provided, identical to their own representative’s signature on the same documents. This appears to be a pattern: other customers online describe nearly identical experiences, including forged signatures and extortion attempts during their moves.

Due to the move crossing state lines (NYC to NJ), we have been unable to file a police report.

If you value anything you own, do not use them.

Truck 149 did a phenomenal job helping us move. They were extremely professional and fast. They answered all our questions and moved everything up our walk up apartment efficiently and disassembled and put together our furniture perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone looking for movers!

Miguel and Chino (van 117) were great in moving all my stuff intact and carefully. They arrived on time and worked impressively efficiently. Dumbo Moving was always responsive to my phone calls and questions.
