I would definitely advice anyone to book this place! It’s honestly amazing! Great sized space and lovely mirrors. The place is very clean and hand sanitizer etc is available. Kirill was also emailing me about any updates and sent reminders about my booking. At first we couldn’t see the sign for the venue but it’s very simple to locate. What a great place!! And it’s in Croydon!

What a fantastic dance studio with really dedicated and inspiring teachers, led by Valeriia and Kirill.

I have enjoyed lessons with Valeriia at Duet Dance Studios for over five years. We have travelled throughout the UK (notably the prestigious Blackpool Winter Gardens) as well as overseas (USA, France, Spain, Vilnius, Italy to name a few) to attend some of the most prestigious dance competitions. The ProAm competitions really enable us to have the full experience of dancing with a live band together with all the glamour, glitz and costumes (you can never have too many Swarovski crystals!) that the dance world offers. ProAm means I am the Am(ateur) and Valeriia is my Pro(fessional) partner, making us the ProAm couple. The experience is absolutely thrilling and the chance to be seen and judged by some of the highest dance adjudicators in the world is an immense honour too.

Valeriia and Kirill are both accomplished and talented dancers in their own right and they translate that talent into their teaching which is both focused, with an attention to detail but also immensely enjoyable. They work us hard but that’s because they want us to succeed. As proof of this, I have achieved the highest marks possible in all of my Latin American ISTD medal tests – affirmation that they provide a very high level of teaching with adherence to the ISTD syllabus.

The studio at Pitlake is bright, spacious with a great dance floor and has good changing facilities. There is adequate space for all styles of dance.

I would strongly recommended Duet Dance Studio for all levels of dance enthusiasts, whether you are looking for some serious competitive ProAm competition training and partnering, be able to take some medal tests to achieve affirmation of your progress, brush up on your technique or whether you just love to dance and what to have some fun and enjoy the social aspects of dance. Duet Dance Studio can offer you any of these options and will work with you to make sure that you achieve your goals.

I contacted Kirill after seeing him at a ProAm competition In Blackpool. Finding a dance teacher that you connect with and whose style of teaching you enjoy can be difficult, even more so if you want to dance American Smooth and American Rhythm - as I do.

I’ve been taking lessons in Smooth and Rhythm for two years with Kirill and competed at many U.K. competitions and have loved every second! Reliable, committed and professional - these are such important qualities in a dance teacher, and Kirill has these in abundance.

I can relax and be myself, safe in the knowledge that I have a very encouraging and patient teacher - who can play on my strengths and help iron out the weaknesses.

Lessons at Duet Dance Studios are always a joy. Valeria’s encouraging and focused teaching and special insider tips on feminine styling are a great complement to years of training for pro-ams or other competitions and goals with your male partner. Her vast array of skills extend to designing and making beautiful practice and competition wear that’s perfectly suited to the individual as well as hair and make up that finishes the total look and gives you that extra bit of confidence on the competition floor. The studio itself is large and bright with lots of room for social distancing! Strongly recommended for dancers of all ages- whether you just want to have some social fun, learn to dance for a special occasion, or compete on the pro-am scene, locally and internationally, Duet will be able to give you what works for you.

I was an absolute beginner when I started learning to dance with Kirill. His passion for dance and his skill as a teacher have made me the dancer I am today. Kirill is extremely patient and encouraging and ensures you learn the basic steps properly. Lessons in the spacious and airy studio are energetic, challenging and fun! Kirill gauges the lessons to your ability, so you never feel out of your depth. Lessons are one to one, which ensures you progress quickly. I now compete at Pro-Am level and have had great success in competitions here In the UK and overseas. If you want to learn to dance socially, as a way of keeping fit, or to try what you’ve seen on Strictly, you can do it all at Duet Dance Studio!💃🏽

Kirill and Valeria are extremely good teachers! My daughter & I have been taught by them for several years and we both enjoyed taking part with them in different dance competitions! Their teaching is very professional, fun and inspiring! Their studio is very well equipped and has good transport links. I would strongly recommend their individual or group classes.
