What excellent service from Pete Mills at DrainBusterYorkshire (DBY).

St Mary’s Church in Haxby was hosting three Christmas concerts from two local primary schools over two days, and the toilet was backing up seriously closely to the top of the pan! We did not need this for our little people visitors!

Calls to known local plumbers and a well known national franchise proved their unavailability or a few days of delay for which we couldn’t afford to wait!

A church member pointed me towards Pete’s advertisement in the local group in social media and amazingly, Pete not only answered very promptly but also was working in a nearby village and could swing by to see us before travelling to his next job in Leeds.

Pete was shown the problem and having checked what was happening outside under the manhole covers, soon got to work in jetting and clearing the blockage.

Pete was on site for about 50 minutes and not only cleared the blockage but did so quite cheerfully and purposefully and satisfactorily.

Payment was made using my personal credit card. I promptly emailed the church treasurer to make my claim for reimbursement, but DBY was paid again!

I spoke with Pete about this the following morning and he promised to sort it out later in the day when he got back from his site visits. True to his word, I received a text message to say that he was sorting the overpayment out. The monies were returned to me a short time later.

So an honest, prompt, reliable, worthwhile and reasonably priced service, for which we are most grateful.

Consequently we can only recommend Pete and DBY in the highest terms.

Drain Busters responded to our Drainage problems very quickly. He was easy to get hold of, sussed out the problem straight away and sorted it very quickly. Also very reasonable. Thank you.

Twas the day before Christmas and all was not well. 4 weeks after moving into our brand new home the toilet in our downstairs cloak was backing up and a gurgling in the en-suite upstairs suggested further trouble was afoot.

Building Contractors and Sales Office staff on the half-completed housing development had broken up for the holidays 2 days earlier until the new year and the Emergency Helpline wasn’t what it claimed to be, helpful. Plans to spend Christmas in our new home with my elderly parents without a bathroom on the ground floor for my infirm dad seemed in ruins. The prospect of toughing it out from Christmas Eve until 2nd January without an escalation of the problem, with neighbours hosting friends and family placing more pressure on an already defective sewage system (our house is the end of the line!), seemingly fraught.

After contracting Drainbusters Yorkshire in a last ditch attempt to take matters in hand, Pete was on our door step within a couple of hours. A really easy going, pleasant and professional guy (don’t bother with the puns about his job, he’s heard them all!) he quickly identified where the problem was located and, in strong winds and driving rain, jetted the drains, cleared the accumulation of building debris causing the blockage and had everything flowing through nicely in no time.

Pete literally saved our family Christmas, for which both me and my wife shall be forever grateful. Brilliant service and a top bloke.

Fast, efficient and friendly service. Pete came to clean our drains and ended up fixing the toilet and replacing out shower head. Nothing is too much trouble for Pete and he is very competitively priced. It will definitely use Pete again and recommend him to anyone

Called Pete as I had a partial blocked drain that was bringing up unpleasant smells into my kitchen. What an amazing guy! He replied and popped over the same day and got the drain cleared. He even offered some advice on what I could do to improve my drainage plumbing to prevent further issues as well.

We called Pete early in the morning and by 3pm the same day he had sorted our drain problem, quickly and efficiently, removing tree roots and renewing the manhole cover. We were confident in leaving him working while we went to lunch for my birthday and on return I was given a box of chocolates as a birthday gift. Pete had previously done a great job at my parents property and came to do a 3 day job for us. Pete was polite and informative about what was needed and whilst it was pretty hard work digging and laying 20 metres of drainage pipes he did everything as promised. There were some problems with the ground works but the job was still completed in the 3 days agreed. Would definitely recommend Pete and will use his expertise if needed in the future.

Would strongly recommend Pete from DrainBusters. Needed someone to unblock pipes from the toilet - tried 6 companies. Rang this company, answer message said they couldn’t pick up but offered a text system. Worked great, Pete got back same day. Agreed a time and date, Pete on time, explained what needed doing, talked through what he was doing, left everything clean and charged exactly what we’d agreed. Very friendly, knows his stuff and sees the value of good customer service. Would def use again.

On the evening of the 22nd I noticed I had a big problem, raw sewage had come up from my outside drain and covered my path to the house. On the 23rd at 8.30 Pete arrived at my property and within the hour had tackled the blockage and cleaned the mess up. Great service, very knowledgeable, thank you Pete. 100% recommend.
