Beware folks, these people require a £50 booking fee up front for an appointment PRIOR to turning up.
I booked in good faith for a call out the next day, then had to chase it up on the day as nobody called to confirm a time slot.
So a scruffy looking "Technician" turned up at my uncles address in an unmarked van to perform the DPF diagnosis and clean, as I had a DPF warning on my dash. He plugged his scanner into my ODB2 Port, and he informed me that the computer would not communicate with my car. So he proceeded to try another scanning tool, and the same outcome, it would not communicate with my car. So while he was there, I did a Google search, and found a forum relating to his scanning tool, which suggested that the firmware should probably be updated in relation to my car, a Mazda. I suggested this to him, but he quickly dismissed that idea, saying that he had "done loads of these cars" with the same tool. So because his scanning tools would not communicate with my car, the fault wasn't rectified, and my DPF was not cleaned. But despite this, he still asked for a further £50 for the call out charge, so in total, this whole sorry episode has cost me £100, for absolutely nothing. (Easy money for the unscrupulous)
Subsequently, I have a pal in the trade with a Snapon scanning tool, and I asked him if he could call round after work to scan my car. The Snapon scanner connected straight away, and he was able to diagnose the fault which turned out to be a faulty exhaust pressure sensor, which he was able to replace for just the cost of the part, as he ordered one from his supplier before finishing work, on the off chance that this would be the problem. We then sprayed DPF cleaner into the DPF, and forced a Regen, and so far so good, the fault code is gone, and my peace of mind has been restored.
If DPF Experts have any integrity, they will refund me the £50 call out charge, or the booking fee, and I will update my rating and review to reflect their good faith.

But beware folks, the guy that they sent to deal with my issue, didn't seem to know what he was doing, and was dismissive of helpful suggestions. I just got the impression that it would be quite easy to blame their tools for a job they are not able to complete, but still insist on payment for call out.

In hindsight, I should have refused to pay the call out charge, as I hadn't entered into any contractual agreement, and had not signed anything to agree to any payment, and there isn't a lot they could have done about it. But I have a degree of integrity, and honoured the payment that I had VERBALLY agreed to pay.
So I would advise to approach this company with caution, as I am not the only unhappy customer, not by a long chalk!

I have a 2007 Saab 9-3, I don't do many long trips and as a consequence, the vehicle went into limp mode, stating, 'Limited Performance', then another message
appeared mentioning Particulates and I knew that was referencing the DPF. I contacted the Dpf Specialists and today received a visit from their engineer, Alex. I observed the procedure and Alex explained what he was doing in detail, it was truly fascinating. The
DPF was filled with a chemical and it wasn't long before foam started to emerge from the exhausts, this was followed by an amount of time with the engine revving at about 3,500 rpm, it then quietened down and I saw the iPad's message, 'Completed'. Thank you Alex, I promise to do a weekly drive to keep things as they should be and thank you Dpf Specialists for your excellent service, no wonder you have a high rating,5*!

Once again Rob came to the rescue with one of our fleet of misbehaving Vauxhall Grandlands. Absolute gentleman, always tells it how it is and doesn't try to pull your pants down over prices. Never any 'hidden extras'. Job completed same day and faults all sorted. I can't recommend him highly enough. Top bloke, top service!

Flawless service from Ben and his team. I was facing bills in excess of £3k from a Vauxhall Main Dealer to repair our Grandland X and the guys got me back on the road for a fraction of the price. The team were knowledgeable, polite and helpful - they explained every step of the process and charged exactly what they quoted with none of the 'hidden extras' that usually crop up on garage invoices. From my initial enquiry through to collection of the repaired vehicle I was kept informed, and the work was completed well within their estimated timeframe. Came out to diagnose and do a DPF clean. £260. Advised to get the DPF deleted and told MAF engine light needed replacement MAF. Mechanic didn’t even jack the car up when carrying out the work.

Not even 10 miles later, engine light came on with DPF blocked codes. Clearly showing the work we paid for wasn’t carried out.

Contacted these ‘experts’ to ask about their warranty and after a couple of messages we were ignored.

Consulted with another DPF mechanic who looked at the DPF and it was still full of soot.

Contacted the ‘experts’ again who said they would refund us the clean cost and only charge for the diagnostic. They asked to see the invoice from the other company and clearly can’t use Google as they said they couldn’t find our new company. Now refusing refund as was promised.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, TAKE YOUR MONEY DO NOTHING TO YOUR CAR!!

Excellent service from this Company from start to finish.

Making the appointment was straight forward.

Rob come to my home who realised there was another issue with my vehicle which I had repaired first.

Ben in the office then arranged for Rob to return to fix my DPF problem/clean.

My car is now running perfect again.

I would highly recommend this Company and would definitely use again.

This company replaced a vaporiser for the DPF, OE part apparently so I was told at the time on the phone, didnt even last a year, asked for the manufactures warranty on the part as I'm entitled to a replacement they just ignored me "no warrenty on electronic parts" even though your entitled to the manufacture warrenty on the part they sold you. Dont waste you money find a company that actually honours what they say, that uses the part they say. Should have just led ford do the job

Pay a proper garage, lack of a warrenty says a lot about a company.

Very knowledgeable, very helpful and sorted out the blocked dpf on my 2015 Discovery Sport. They were very happy to talk about what they were doing and how it all worked. Would definitely recommend and use them again. They’ve saved me at least £2000 for the time being!

4) Sykes' effort....My JaguarXF Sport is quite low and difficult to get under on a driveway. Sykes didn't give up and made sure he resolved the difficulty to get under my car.

To the people that complained about a call-out charge when DPF couldn't be cleaned. A call-out charge applies to nearly every mobile service you call (plumbers, electrician, etc.). Shouldn't be a surprise.

Avoid them if you don’t want to lose your money !!
They don’t even know how to clean a dpf and they are just taking your money . I gave them the money as they will take them to hell with them .

Same as other low reviews no mention of call out charge when booking the appointment to get the DPF cleaned, apparently oil dilution caused by the DPF filter blockage and was unable to clean, cost £140.00 for the call out and no DPF clean

Please dont use this service it is a complete con it is a very expensive diagnostic service that doesn't repair anything.
The best you will get is a engine management light reset.
The problem will still be there as they repair nothing.

I feel I have been over charged for diagnostic test. No clear indication or information about different fees and their website prices are different than what I have been quoted over the phone, only, one option to pay £40 upfront when booking and £200 to pay when the cleaning is completed, total of £240. No one mentioned anything about call out charges or whatsoever, no information on their website. When diagnostic test revealed as DPF cleaning is not required, the driver demanded to pay £120 as call out charge. I was appalled and shocked, ended up paying £120 for diagnostic test where diagnostic test costs around £60 in other places.

DPF Experts was an excellent choice on our part. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and fully explained the issue and was able to have our car up and running within 45 minutes. Excellent customer service and was able to advise us as to how to keep our car up and running. They were able to come to us within 24 hours of our booking. We will not hesitate to use them again.

I contacted dpf experts following a warning light coming on. The hand book said emissions fault. The fault turned out to be the EGR valve that he couldn't fix. As a non repair I was charged the initial £40 deposit and a further £100 for no repairs. Not happy at being charged the additional £100 that was not mentioned if the fault could not be fixed.

Sykes visited us today after only booking yesterday and he was amazing! Took me through everything step by step, did the clean (which I worried wasn’t possible) and even gave me some great tips for maintaining my car. My husband was worried about leaving me to deal with it as I know nothing about cars, but Sykes was nothing but honest and I now know more about my car than ever before. Thank you so much. Will recommend you to my Landrover school mums :)

Great customer service. Got booked in for a DPF clean the next day. Sykes took me through the diagnostic procedures before starting the clean. He explained everything that was happening and the readings he was getting on the equipment………..so hopefully now for some trouble free motoring.
……..and one last thing …..he’s a really nice guy.
