Parcel collected from YEEP locker but never scanned into shipping system – now missing with no investigation.
I am currently dealing with a £275 parcel that was deposited into a YEEP locker on 14th Feb and has now been confirmed by DPD as “collected” on 1st Mar.
However, the parcel was never scanned into the DPD network, no tracking ever started, and it has now completely disappeared.
DPD have acknowledged collection but will not investigate further because the shipping label was generated via Vinted (who they say is the account holder). Vinted, however, refuse to investigate because the buyer understandably cancelled the order after 10 days with no tracking updates.
This leaves the parcel in a situation where:
• it has been physically collected into the DPD network
• it has never been scanned or tracked
• it is now missing
• and no organisation is taking responsibility
This appears to expose a serious gap in the system — if a parcel is collected but not scanned, it effectively becomes invisible within the network.
I have provided photos of the parcel, the QR shipping label, and full details, but there is still no active investigation.
If you are using locker drop-off services, be aware that if the parcel is not scanned at the first stage, it may never enter the tracking system at all.
This does not appear to be an isolated case, and I would urge DPD to review how unscanned or “non-manifest” parcels are handled within their network.
Minus 5 stars for DPD
If there were minus/ negative star ratings I'm sure this company would get minus/negative 5 stars! Absolutely the worst delivery company in the UK, don't understand why they still exist. As per usual I was given a 1 hour delivery slot. I kept a eye on tracking, about 90 minutes before it said my delivery was #75 and the driver was on #59. Half hour before checked again and the status was the same (driver on #59). Half hour after I get a text and email apologising for failing to deliver - stating driver attempted delivery but person couldn't provide correct verification pin number. DPD never came to my house! Lying dishonest lazy non-committed delivery personnel.
Tried calling customer service, they claimed they couldn't get in touch with their own driver! Rescheduled for next day Sunday.
Sunday's email and text gives a 13 hour delivery window!! 7 hours later I'm still waiting.
Lied about delivery date, time, delivery attempt
Lied about delivery date and time. Missed window. Lied saying they attempted delivery. Tracking number doesn't work. No customer service at all. Website won't recognize the tracking number they provided.
The worst company in the world.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DPD
DPD simply lie
DPD simply lie “When our driver arrived we were advised there was nothing to collect”
Of course they never arrived. I wasted the damn day waiting in. Absolute shambles
My parcel has not arrived twice i…
My parcel has not arrived twice i received sorry we missed you even though me and my husband were both home all day and the first day my camera shows the van driving behind my house and did even stop, I will be taking this further as this is now day 3 ,and now the app won't allow me or my daugher to arrange another delivery.
Driver cannot read instructions.
Driver cannot read instructions.
These are deliveries from Nespresso Uk. In November they delivered to another house in the village despite precise instructions on parcel. I had to go looking for the gate they had photographed. Yesterday they tried to deliver about half a mile from our house, then sent an email to say name not known. I phoned Nespresso who arranged another delivery today and said they emphasised thé instructions. Today thé mail said they missed me despite two of us being at home and cameras that show they never came near the house.
Nespresso now arranged a delivery to post office which is two miles away. Do not understand why à big company like Nespresso use DPD despite constant complaints.
Third undelivered item in past month, with zero customer service
Third undelivered item in past month. There is no zero customer service as the number on the site is all automated and all it tells you is 'there is an unexpected delay with your order'. There is no reason given, no updated ETA of when to receive it and after a few days the automated response will be 'item sent back to sender as requested.' This is because they can't be bothered to actually deliver the item/ reprocess it. Normally DPD is very good but the past month has been truly worse than the notorious other delivery companies. I will be wary of purchasing online which uses DPD in future. When things go wrong there is nothing you can do and they force it back between you and the seller even though its DPD who can't be bothered to deliver. Forgot to mention the lies on the app when they said they attempted delivery but 'customer wasn't in.' Easy excuse but also easy to prove wrong with their tracking vans to see if they were in your area. Love to blame other people except themselves. Terrible
Incredibly poor and inflexible…
Incredibly poor and inflexible deliveries. Not only are the deliveries poor and almost no warning is given, however, there is almost no way to contact the driver. Their website has been re-designed to make contacting anyone near impossible. Upon calling the call centre the person on the phone was very unhelpful.
I am extremely concerned that my parcel…
I am extremely concerned that my parcel with tracking number 1550 1940 321 370 X has been sitting at the DPD Docklands depot with no movement. There has been no delivery attempt or update, which raises serious doubts as to whether the parcel may be lost or stolen.
After submitting multiple complaints, I have received no response from DPD, and this continued silence only increases my concerns. As we all know, DPD is a delivery service, not a storage facility, and it is unusual for a parcel to remain inactive for this long without explanation.
I therefore request immediate clarification on the status and location of my parcel, and confirmation of whether it is still secure within your network.
Your urgent feedback is much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Delivery driver forged delivery
Delivery driver Zartash forged delivery, 4 Dec, photo shows parcel in back of van, signed in the name of our company, not a person. Sticker is addressed to our company name, and has my home address. Our CCTV proves delivery did NOT take place. On 5 Dec, DPD website goes round a loop saying parcel delivered; DPD Chatbox unhelpful too, wasted 90 minutes going around in circles. DPD system is designed to avoid customers. Customer service unhelpful, told me to contact sender, but it's a gift and have no idea who sender is - he then abruptly hung up.
I have called the shop, and they have no idea either as they need to know the name of person who bought the gift, and I don't know who sent me this gift.
I like our normal DPD driver, he's brilliant.
Based on this experience, it's worse than Evri... and that's saying something.
PS: I worked for a similar delivery company during pandemic, and know protocols. It's The King's mail, and this behaviour breaches the law; it is a criminal offence to intentionally tamper with mail under the Postal Services Act 2000.

Waited in all day and received a message delivery at 17.00-1800 arrived after 9pm and hammered on our French window not the front door even when i went out the driver never spoke to busy on his ear pod. second parcel which should have been delivered yesterday was delayed due to issues in my area and even the customer service couldn't say what the issue was still waiting at 3 pm and it states it hasn't left the depot ?????
Abysmal, untrustworthy service.
I was notified that my package would be delivered on the 24th November. I received tracking information which I was following on the app. I subsequently received notification saying the driver could not find my address, which I find very hard to believe as it is a central Edinburgh location to which I have received numerous deliveries in the past, including from DPD. On the following three days I awaited rescheduled delivery times only to receive notifications each day saying "sorry we missed you", a downright lie on each occasion and no calling card was left despite the driver claiming to have done so. I eventually received the package five days after the original delivery date, after arranging pick up at a post office, as with this option the lie of "sorry we missed you" could not be used.
An utterly abysmal, disgraceful, untrustworthy service.

I elected to provide a safe space for my delivery as i had to go out.
The Screwfix parcel, worth about £80 was delivered to my home at 4.48 pm and a photo provided to me.
Fifteen minutes later i returned home - no parcel.
My house is in a very secluded position and the neighbours are very nice.
So in about fifteen minutes my parcel disappeared - i have no video recording so unable to ascertain what actually happened with my delivery.
I will now buy a video door camera.
Never use DPD and i am very surprised that Screwfix uses their services.
⭐ 0 out of 5
⭐DPD CURRIER SERVICE UK. ZERO (000) out of 5 – If I Could Give Zero Zero Zero, I Would
This has been one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve ever had – no wait! We always have terrible service from DPD
A DPD collection was arranged for a product needing repair. The process should have been simple: arrive, allow time to box the item, and collect. Yesterday, no one turned up — no call, no text, no update. After waiting all day, we had to call to find out why, and were told to rebook for today.
I later discovered DPD had tried to call me at 00:01 a.m. — just after midnight — to say they wouldn’t be collecting. Who phones customers in the middle of the night? Completely unprofessional.
We were assured a call before pickup today, but at 9:02 a.m. the driver (name: NAPAL) banged violently on the door, frighteningly loud. We are a disabled household, and by the time I said I was coming downstairs (we have only ten steps), he had already driven off. No patience, no professionalism, no courtesy.
He left a calling card (36948116) and vanished. Calling DPD on 0121 275 0500 was hopeless — stuck in an automated loop that repeats what’s on the app. When I finally reached someone, they simply repeated the same information, with no apology or help to rebook.
Even the third-party company using DPD admitted they receive constant complaints about DPD UK — saying other DPD branches abroad provide excellent service, but the UK operation is notorious for poor reliability and rude drivers.
It’s clear DPD UK doesn’t care about missed collections, wasted time, or the needs of disabled or vulnerable customers.
A disgraceful, unprofessional, and uncaring service. Avoid if you can.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would.
Completely useless service, parcel 1 of 2 was delivered and I get the message ‘there’s a problem in your area’ for why parcel 2 of 2 wasn’t delivered. No hun, there’s a problem with you.
Customer service was shocking, telling me all I wanted to hear when in fact the Raunds depot had ‘lost’ my parcel.
Another parcel is sent out by the original company - again using dpd… my parcel has been scanned 3 times 0100, 0700 and 0900 to say the same thing ‘your parcel has arrived at Raunds depot’ due to be delivered today - have not got my hopes up.
Same story when driver stating - we missed you
Same story. Laziest driver ever. Not even tried to deliver, but then sent email - we missed you.
Disappointing, experience with this currier.
One star is too good for you lot!
One star is too good for you lot!
We must have the laziest driver ever, never drops anything off, says we aren't in and takes a blank image to bypass his system. Try to live chat, forced into a chatbot that goes round and round and round in circles. Download the app, same story, call and no-one ever answers.
If this was ANY other business it would have folded by now, why anyone would use this company for their courier needs is beyond me.
DPD have closed all their human methods of contact…
DPD have closed all their human methods of contact for their delivery customers , so when things go wrong you can’t Internet chat, email, or telephone and get through to a human. My problem is not solvable by computer chat or webpage systems so has not been sorted out. Basically I am in the process of moving into a New Build house in a new street. My house has a Royal Mail issued postcode as has the street it is in with other occupied households. The Addressing system DPD use tells them (and me on their web interface) that the postcode is not recognised, so today’s parcel delivery was “missed by the driver” as will no doubt, the rerun tomorrow. They do offer an entry for my “What Three Words” location but that is apparently not recognised either. It is interesting that practically every other delivery company computer addressing system does recognise my address. Why not DPD? The fact that I am not even able to make contact with them just add to my very low opinion of DPD - address location after all is at the heart of their business. Given the drive for new home builds their address location system needs to be much more up to date, particularly as the event of moving home inevitably involves lots of new parcels.
Literally The worst customer service I…
Literally The worst customer service I have ever known.
I have been waiting all day for a parcel that I have to sign for only to get a message to say the driver missed me and will attempt to deliver again tomorrow despite nobody trying to deliver anything. Tried phoning the "customer service" number to get an automated message also claiming that someone had tried to deliver the parcel but missed me and did not give me any option to actualy speak to someon in fact, there is no way to contact and speak to anybody. I know customer service is getting more hotile as a whole from most companies but I have never known it to be this bad.
Very poor servis from driver.
I had a parcel delivered today but driver did not ring my bell just left my parcel in the doorway of my neighbour. Not good enough. How hard is it to ring the doorbell. There is even a sign saying please ring the bell. So come on DPD get your staff to do the job better.
