Extremely negative experience with DPD.
On April 13, 4 parcels were sent from Ireland to the Netherlands with an expected delivery date of April 18–20.
On April 18, an address issue was identified (caused by the system’s automatic suggestion). The sender immediately contacted support to correct the address, and continued to follow up daily.
On April 22, we were informed that the request had been forwarded to the relevant team. However, follow-ups continued daily until April 25 (excluding the weekend), and again from April 28. Despite this, no action was taken and the address was never corrected.
As a result, the parcels were not delivered and, according to the latest information, are now being returned to Ireland.
We contacted support and DPD Ireland by phone, asking to stop the return and offering to collect the parcels ourselves in the Netherlands. These requests were completely ignored.
We were also informed that the return may take 4–8 weeks. There will be no one available to receive the parcels in Ireland, as we are no longer located at the original address.
The parcels contained all personal belongings, including clothes, shoes, bedding, and essential items. As a result, the recipient was left without basic necessities and had to urgently purchase everything again.
Total losses exceeded €260 for delivery, not including additional expenses for replacement items.
This situation shows a complete lack of responsibility and disregard for customer requests.
The most important question remains unanswered:
how this situation will be resolved is unclear.
Who will receive the parcels in Ireland — unknown.
Who will compensate the delivery cost and additional expenses — also unknown.
At this point, it feels like the customer has simply been left alone with this problem.
I do not recommend this delivery service.
Waiting for my parcel now since Sunday…
Waiting for my parcel now since Sunday 26th April and still waiting and its the 28th and still had no tracking despite calling earlier today and told by their customer service team that its getting delivered today and I should get the tracking information by 11.30am. Its now 12.25 and on the phone to them again.
Advice (do not alter the original delivery date as it seems that they cannot deal with such requests. It was due as a consignment of 3 parcels from Ninja on Saturday, as we were going out we used the app to select the Sunday. Since then 2 items came on Sunday and its been a ball ache trying to get the main item the BBQ. Still on hold while I have been typing this review. Not Happy with this service.

Driver unnecessarily banged on the door so loud it frightened the life out of me. When I asked him why he completely ignored me. I tried to put in a complaint to DPD but couldn't find a way of doing it. It seems that their drivers either deliver things without knocking or pressing the bell at all or bang the door very loudly but none have banged the door as loud as this person

I ordered two items from Amazon Prime, to be delivered yesterday (24th April). I waited in all day ,but no deliveries arrived. I then received an e-mail in the afternoon saying they had tried to deliver at 13.16 hrs, but no-one was in. Both my wife and I were in all day, two cars ere in the drive and the garage doors were open. No-one in?
I called Amazon and told them what had happened and they contacted DPD. They then asked me if I could stay in until 20.00 hrs and the goods would be delivered. I agreed, waited in, but still no delivery. I then called Amazon Prime this morning and gave them the update. They contacted DPD again and received the same fairy tale about having tried to deliver, but no-one being in. They said that the earliest they could now deliver would be Monday 26th April. I explained that I pay Prime subscription in order to get fast and reliable deliveries and that this was neither. I also explained that I needed the items on 24th as I was going away. It made no difference. I have now had to re-schedule the delivery for Wednesday 28th April. Very poor service.
No refund unless you beg for it!
DPD’s refund policy is a joke. They cancelled my order I reorder a collection, yet held my money for over 20 days. It’s clear they have no intention of issuing refunds unless you spend hours in long queues and "chase" them. If you are a busy person and don't have time to stay behind the lines, forget about your money. They literally told me a refund was "raised" but after several minutes they said raised but not "transferred" until I complained. Absolutely pathetic customer service for just £9.

I ordered an item to be delivered as an urgent order. I paid £15 for this express delivery. 10 a.m. the next morning, I hear a van pull up outside my house, I hear the creak of my front gate opening and then the thud of a parcel landing in my front garden, followed by footsteps and the van leaving. No doorbell ringing then an email saying my parcel had been left in my safe place which would be my shed. Sukhvir is the name of the driver, a complete disgrace to DPD.

I paid extra for next day delivery before noon. Driver turned up took a picture of the gate and left, when there was someone home waiting to take the delivery. There was no phone number or anything to contact on the email, so can’t even speak to anyone about getting the parcel today. Worst customer service experience I’ve had.
My parcel was damaged while in their care, and instead of handling it properly, they refused to provide any photos or proof of the damage. They kept the package sitting in their warehouse with no clear communication, and now I’m stuck unable to request a refund because they won’t provide the necessary details.
This level of negligence and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Customers shouldn’t have to chase basic information or be blocked from getting a refund due to the company’s own failures. Avoid if you expect accountability or proper service.

I have experienced multiple issues over the course of the last year. The issues range from, delivery drivers (Lavish and madhav) claiming to having attempted delivery despite not having so to avoid going up the stairs and parcels being sent back. More recently, a fella named “Abdul Haq”, claimed to have delivered a parcel and uploaded a random house (not even my house) as the proof of address. I immediately reached out to DPD and after being on hold for an eternity was told that the package was incorrectly delivered. Then the package resurfaced, the package was then dropped of at a pick up point, where it was repackaged from a DPD envelope, to a DPD local envelope. Needless to say, one of the items was missing. Avoid these people like the plague.
