Why do people continue to use this…

Why do people continue to use this appalling company. Never I have actually received a parcel on time. Today I had no choice as curry's sent my item out with them. i took the day off work, had a text to say they would be with me from 11.33am to 12.33pm and obviously they did not show up when tracking the parcel it stats I would not except it. Now they are saying they will deliver it tomorrow which means another day off work.

quite possibly the worst

quite possibly the worst delivery company out there, shocking, you wait a day, doesn't arrive, next day, gives you the time, then at the latest minute 'couldn't deliver' i don't think they can be bothered really. its the same every time, each time i get a delivery and its going to be this company i know it wont work - and again, today, hey presto, the same error. not a company i would choose to use .

eidt/ update two days later i had notification that it was going to be delivered, but to a different pick up point that i requested - 4 days later, after making contact with them thru the website, even though the website stated delivered - i was informed that they couldn't deliver the item and it was going back to the supplier - so they can't deliver a letter sized package? knowing this company as i do now, i wont use any company where the delivery company is DPD - its pointless using them - but good luck to everyone else :)

Delivered my parcel to the wrong…

Delivered my parcel to the wrong address, refusing to do anything about it advising me I have now got to contact the seller to get a
refund.
You have been paid to deliver a parcel, why is it the customers duty to phone the seller and tell them it has been dropped off to the wrong address?

Absolutely sick of the DPD driver…

Absolutely sick of the DPD driver 'Gancho' from DPD in Epsom. This must be his area as we always get him & he is lazy & rude!
He presses the intercom but does not come up our drive to the front door. A few months back he delivered bags of cat litter from Pets at home & dumped them at the bottom of our drive! He blocked our sensor with these so we couldn't open our gates to get them. What followed was over an hour of phonecalls to Pets at home for someone to come & move them so we could get out of our property. We complained to Pets at home but nothing has changed with his deliveries. Today concluded what can only be described as complete lack of customer service by him. He has come to our house to deliver a parcel that had to be received & a code given but again presses the intercom & doesn't come up to the front door. Doesn't wait & drives off! He finally came up to the door today & lied to our face that he had previously waited for a response. Absolutely a rubbish service from DPD!!!!

Another 1 star for DPD

Drive Gursewak dishonest and lazy.

I was on my drive when I received a text saying sorry missed me.

It’s quite interesting how my CCTV can show that he did not attend.

However, there’s a generic house that isn’t even in the vicinity that he attached to some how demonstrate could not deliver.

I would complain direct to DPD on their website, put my post code and the delivery number they have on the system isn’t recognised!

You can’t call.

I feel sorry for these business for using DPD as they have to give full refunds including delivery - I hope they get from DPD.

I paid an extra £10 to have an item…

I paid an extra £10 to have an item delivered within a certain time slot.
Received a text at 8.51am
Saying item was to be delivered.
Received another text at 10.03am saying I was not in so item been dropped of at my nearest shop.
I have ring doorbell, no footage of anyone coming to my door .
I don’t drive so how am I to pick up a large item.
The nearest shop was 2 miles away.
Dpd tell lies.
No one will answer the phone.
Because of this and the principle I have told curry’s to pick up item themselves and I will have a full refund

DPD 's Late Delivery to Vieux Nice

My package was supposed to arrive on 8 April and messaged it was out for delivery. I stayed home to receive it during the time slot they sent. After the time slot had passed they messaged they were sorry, but couldn't deliver today. This exact same behavior continued on 9, 10 and 11 April. The item finally arrived on 13 April. DPD seems to have a problem knowing when they can deliver.

Update

Further to my previous review regarding my missing parcel I found it thrown into a recycling bin bearing in mind that the box contained food stuffs third world standards obviously lower than mine and the customer services thought it was quite acceptable

False Claims About Delivery

Received a message saying they couldn't deliver our package because we weren't able to provide a pin. Nobody came to the door.

My wife was at our local shop shortly after and the DPD driver was in there dropping off all the parcels he hadn't delivered.

My wife politely asked him if he was the delivery driver that went to our house. He said yes, and first said he went to our house and left the package there. Then he changed his mind and said he never had the package and that it's at the depot. Then when he saw our address was on his list he said he went but nobody was in.

He then appeared to start taking photos of my wife and children, but claimed he was just 'taking a screenshot'.

Of course it's now after office hours so we can't contact anyone to find out what happened/what's happening, and the online chat stopped working due to being 'unusually busy'.

Hopeless service, no accountability and almost impossible to get through to anyone and find out where your package is.

Inept

Take photo from van so they can say they tried to deliver but don't actually knock on door or call as ring doorbell shows. Can't get through to anyone to complain or chase delivery. Shockingly bad.

This company is utterly useless, Its Uddingston branch in Glasgow is totally inept. They have tried three times to deliver an order from Ryobi (equally useless!!) and right up to literally the minute it was to arrive (accordingly to the messages from the DPD App) it was cancelled with an irritating message "sorry we missed You". They did not miss me as I was here. They failed and could not be bothered to deliver. Their Driver was Daniel not that it makes any difference to me who according to their App was "minutes away" Then a sudden cancellation message was sent to me. Three times they have tried and failed every time. Ive cancelled my order and demanded a full refund from Ryobi.

DPD seem incapable of delivering to my…

DPD seem incapable of delivering to my house. Despite photo and clear instructions not to blindly follow postcodes on sat Nav, they turn up at wrong house, wrong road and then say sorry we missed you. I waited 30 minutes to talk with a chatbot that did not resolve the problem. This happens on many occasions and is unacceptable (eg if a delivery company can not deliver, they are in the wrong business)

If I could give them zero I would

If I could give them zero I would. Once again the driver has taken a picture of a random house we don’t even recognise and said we were not in. It’s not even in our village let alone our road. I just hate the lying. I work from home and was in all day as was my husband. Why are they not honest and say they could not find it rather than lying. Then they have zero customer service so you can’t speak to anyone. Went back to the retailer and told them to sort it out. Dpd are beyond useless

Excellent, helpful and friendly service.

Our usual delivery man is Kevin, nothing is too much trouble for him, he is always friendly and helpful and is a great ambassador for DPD, I would definately say he is a cut above as a delivery person. Excellent service Kevin.

They lie and lie and lie….

The company blatantly lies to you! Delivery schedule today, driver said they attempted to deliver, but no one at the business - lied as someone was there all day. The driver uploaded a photo saying it had attempted delivery, but unfortunately and unbeknown to them
they used a old photo as the photo has no cars in the photo/background. But I parked my car today there and it’s not in the photo and my other work colleagues cars are not in the photo! Blatant lies! Call centre not interested, we do not believe you was there responce!

DPD replies - We are only the intermediate between you and your sender, as you booked this order with your sender and your sender booked this order with the dpd, that is the reason you will have to contact your sender for further help.

On the day of the delivery the parcel was seal was broken and the machine tampered with

I timed it - SLOWER than if it was delivered by foot

I timed it, it takes this delivery company longer to do an international EU delivery to a neighbouring EU country than if it was picked up and transported BY FOOT at 6km/h

Customer support is unreachable and their so called AI agent "red" is the dumbest excuse for an agent I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
I tried calling their support but they charge you to call them and be in waiting queue.

I refuse to ever have anything delivered via this unprofessional excuse for a delivery company in the future.
