I just had another perfect delivery by DPD. They send you an email when they will deliver in a small time window and do delivery exactly at this time. Driver rings the door bell and is very friendly.... See more

In General it works but often issues with damage Packages and Adress Issues. Well the last point ist not the Problem of DPD but they are not flexible to change something.

On a regular basis DPD just throws my parcels in my driveway. They never ring the doorbell and very rarely bring the parcel to the door. When I was pregnant I had to unpack my parcels in thr driveway... See more

Always happy with the delivery. They care about your parcel, never pretend you were not at home.

DPD says we deliver to the neighbors if…

DPD says we deliver to the neighbors if they're not home... but I was at the neighbors' house and no one rang the doorbell, which worked perfectly...
DPD says that if the neighbors aren't home, we deliver to the parcel shop... their website says it was returned to the DPD warehouse...
I say: DPD sucks...not for the first time

repeatedly failed to attempt delivery

The seller shipped my product without a house number. When DPD noted the error, the seller contacted them, and I used the "update my address" function online, and a new delivery date was established. I sat home on the new delivery date (5 November), but the package never left the delivery center. The next day (6 Nov), I called the help line (where DPD charged me 30 cents/minute!) and they informed me that it would be delivered the following day, today (7 Nov). So, I stayed home again today, but now the status has changed to "Return to Sender!" Calling the help line, DPD can provide no solution (but was still able to charge me 30 cents/minute!)

Now I have stayed home for 2 days, had my package delayed by 2 weeks, and been charged an additional 10 euros for the privilege of DPD customer service telling me there is nothing they can do to help.

Never use DPD

Two times we were expecting deliveries from DPD and two times parcels were never delivered to the right place. Delivers are not using the proper addresses and deliver to a pickup place of their choice Anderlecht instead of Beersel!!

Unauthorised photo, no action taken

The delivery driver took a photo of me unauthorised. It was clearly a practiced manoeuvre. As I opened the door to greet him, he thrust the parcel at me to make sure I took it. He was holding his phone up and when I caught a glimpse of the screen, the bright green T-shirt I was wearing was clearly visible. Before I could say anything he grabbed his phone and walked off.

I complained to DPD and specifically asked them if this was standand or authorised practice. They replied as follows:
"Please be assured that we take privacy and data protection very seriously. While photos of parcels may be taken in some cases to confirm delivery (especially when no signature is provided), taking a photo of the recipient without their clear consent is not a standard or authorized practice.

We will immediately escalate this incident to the relevant department so that a full internal review can be conducted to clarify what happened and why."

That was in July. This is November and I have heard nothing. On these pages, I counted 27 other reviews going back to 2021 making exactly the same complaint. Taking unathorised photos of customers may not be 'authorised' but it is clearly standard.

How does this company still exist???

I honestly don’t understand how this delivery company still exists. My parcel showed as “delivered to pick up point” yesterday, only for the pick up point to be closed the entire day so it couldn’t have delivered. They then put my parcel as “delivered to the retrieval point” whatever that’s supposed to mean?? In ANOTHER CITY than mine. Now it says it’s “in delivery” while I have 0 information about when it’s supposed to deliver, seeing as different webistes show me different things. From Oct 30 as delivery date, now I have it from 31st October TILL 28 NOVEMBER. ONE ENTIRE MONTH to deliver a parcel that’s supposed to be in a deposit 20 minutes away from me and they don’t accept people to go take their own parcels.
Can’t contact anyone, they don’t answers phonecalls or emails and their chatbot is completely useless!!!

Catastrophic every time I have a parcel…

Catastrophic every time I have a parcel delivered by DPD I get a message saying we missed you EVEN though I stayed all day stuck at home to collect my parcel. The worst shipping company and zero opportunity to share feedback following a delivery!!

Not a home delivery company

Over the years, DPD has been without exception the worst delivery company that I've had the misfortune to deal with.
As other reviews have pointed out, in my experience, they never, and I mean NEVER, actually deliver your package to you. No matter how heavy, light, high/low priority. The day of the delivery, they simply say that you've "missed them" and drop your package at a pick-up point the following day; You can even tell by their tracking app that the delivery drivers are not even close to you when you supposedly "miss them". They simply do not even try to deliver your package to you.
It's reached a point where I do everything to not order anything if I know that they'll be the ones handling it. Either stop pretending to be a home delivery service, or actually start being one.
To the companies having a partnership with them: Reconsider it, as they are clearly complacent in lying about the nature of the service they provide.

Extremely poor customer service experience

I submitted a perfectly clear request in English to DPD Belgium, yet twice, the same agent (whose name I’ll refrain from mentioning) replied with:
“My excuses, I didn’t understanded your question directly. Keep in mind that you have 7 days to pick up the parcel before it will be sended back retour.”

If this is what DPD.BE considers quality service, then I rest my case. It’s astonishing that a company of this size tolerates such unprofessional and careless communication.
To make matters worse, my question still remains unanswered.
AND...! The ordeal does not end here. Oh no. I have asked for the parcel to be delivered on a special day, I get an automated email update with the confirmation of the change... and same day in the afternoon, I get another notification that the parcel has been already delivered to the parcel shop of the choice of the driver.
Worse delivery company ever.

Good job.

On time, at the right place and in good condition. Not much more needs to be said. Job well done.
