Completed the Purchase, Not the Customer Service
Unfortunately, my experience with DPA Law during my recent property purchase was very disappointing and fell well below the standard I expected from a professional conveyancing firm.
Although the purchase did complete, that does not reflect the quality of service I received. Good conveyancing should involve clear communication, attention to detail, proactive case management and proper client care, and in my experience DPA Law fell short in all of these areas.
Throughout the transaction I repeatedly had to chase for updates and often waited too long for replies to emails. On several occasions I felt I had to monitor progress myself rather than rely on the firm to keep me informed.
One issue particularly concerned me. I was told that searches were still outstanding and could take several weeks, but after contacting the developer myself I discovered the relevant documentation had already been sent to DPA Law some time earlier. I had not been told this, and it was never acknowledged to me. That left me concerned that unnecessary delay could have been avoided.
I also found that reasonable questions were not always answered clearly or helpfully. During a major financial transaction, I expected straightforward communication and professional guidance.
I raised a formal complaint, but I was disappointed that the response focused mainly on the fact that the transaction completed on time rather than addressing the communication problems, delays and lack of proactive handling I had raised. In my view, completion alone does not mean the service was acceptable.
After completion, I was then told that the Land Transaction Tax figure on my completion statement had been entered incorrectly due to a "human error". I had paid the amount requested in good faith, relying on the firm's figures, only to be asked for more money afterwards. Although the balance was paid within the required timeframe and no penalties were incurred, this further undermined my confidence in the firm's attention to detail and quality control.
What disappointed me most was not simply that a mistake occurred, but the way it was handled. Even during the complaints process, I felt there was reluctance to fully acknowledge the impact of the repeated communication issues, administrative errors and lack of proactive case management.
I instruct solicitors so I can trust that my transaction will be handled properly and that I will be kept informed. Regrettably, that was not my experience.
To be fair, Steffan was consistently professional, responsive and proactive whenever he became involved, and his communication stood out positively.
Based on my personal experience, I would not use DPA Law again for conveyancing and would not recommend them to others.

Not only did they not ring me back as promised. They could not be bothered to explain why they did not want to take on my case. The young man on the phone was very helpful but I’m afraid that the rest of the team let him down. I was wanting them to represent my 100 yr old aunt. Shame on them.
Excellent service
I used DPA Law for my recent house purchase. I was assigned Stacey Lewis as my conveyancer and in all honesty I could not rate the service provided highly enough.
From the very start of the process she was on the ball with every aspect of the purchase, guiding me through what was required from me and answering any questions that I had. She kept the process moving along despite delays from the sellers solicitors and the whole process was completed in only 3 months.
I would absolutely recommend this firm, Stacey in particular and would 100% use them again.
Awful!!!!Find a solicitor that knows what they are doing
I found this practise to be unprofessional, unqualified and unfair. The practise does not provide you with the correct guidance that you ask for but remain firm that they are not at fault. The mssinfornation and lack of information proveded is quite disturbing. Please do yourself a favour and use a reputable firm

DPA Law conveyancing
We were referred to DPA Law through Home Legal Direct. Stacey Lewis was our appointed conveyancer and was great to work with. She always kept me up to date on the progress of our conveyancing and was polite and helpful whenever I called. The costs were very competitive compared to high street legal services and the service just as good. I’d recommend DPA Law for anyone considering using an online conveyancer.

I have recently worked with Stacey for my conveyancing, again she kept me updated and informed and made each part as easy as possible along with highlighting anything to assist me further to speed up the process effectively.

Experienced and helpful
We dealt with Mike Williams in their Cardiff office. He is obviously very experienced and we found him to be helpful and clear in terms of explanation and advice on the processes we needed to follow. He helped us with our Will and Statement of wishes and we will certainly go back there for any other legal needs.

Lyn was amazing
Lyn was amazing! We used DPA Law for 2 sales and a purchase and we always seemed to be further along than all of the other properties in the chain. We were kept up to date and considering the complexity in the chain, we were always ahead and waiting on others. I couldnt recommend DPA enough!

Great Service from Lyn Dyer at DPA Law
I recently bought a house and used DPA Law as my conveyancing solicitors for the purchase. I worked with Lyn Dyer and she provided an efficient and responsive service. She was happy to help and answered all our questions. The whole process was completed in 2.5 months (even considering we purposefully delayed our completion date) so we are very happy with the turn around. Would definitely recommend Lyn and the DPA Law team!
