WARNING TO WOMEN: DK MINING POOL / dkminingpool.io

I want to share my experience because it may protect someone else from getting pulled into what appears to be a sophisticated pig butchering (or more polished phare -romance/investment scam)
I met a man through The Pattern app, in the Connect section. We quickly turned to WA and for approximately two weeks, we communicated very intensely, messages every day, voice notes, videos and eventually phone calls.
The connection developed unusually quickly and became emotionally intense. He appeared genuinely interested in me, talked about meeting in real life and created what felt like a very convincing sense of closeness, trust and emotional intimacy. This was not a random stranger immediately asking me for money.
For about two weeks, there was no investment proposal at all.
The subject actually came up through a conversation about his alleged professional activities and my own curiosity about how I might organise my finances better. At that point, he suggested that I register with a cryptocurrency/cloud-mining platform called: DK Mining Pool : dkminingpool.io, which was supposed to be his busienss :) I was then presented with an investment opportunity described as capable of producing approximately a fivefold return with essentially no risk of loss :))))
That was the point at which I stopped and researched the platform independently. Obviously, what I found was extremely concerning.At the time of writing, ScamAdviser gives dkminingpool.io a Trust Score of 0/100 and labels it “Very Likely Unsafe.”The domain was only registered on 29 January 2026, its ownership information is hidden through a privacy service, and it has been flagged for potentially high-risk cryptocurrency and financial services.
I did not invest or transfer any money, not even register of course.

I am sharing this because the most important warning sign was not the investment pitch itself. It was everything that happened before it.The emotional relationship was built first. There were real phone conversations. There were voice messages. There were videos. There were promises of meeting. There was attention, affection and an extraordinary level of emotional engagement.You could very easily believe you were developing a genuine relationship with a real person who simply happened to know a lot about inve sting. Only later does the financial opportunity appear.
This pattern closely resembles what law-enforcement organisations now describe as romance baiting: establishing an online romantic or emotional relationship, building trust over time and eventually introducing an investment opportunity, frequently involving cryptocurrency.
What made this particularly convincing was that I genuinely believed I was getting to know an unusually empathetic, emotionally intelligent and open person, and that we were simply going through a real process of getting to know each other. At the same time, the emotional closeness developed very quickly, and almost every message I sent was met with an exceptionally thoughtful, validating and precisely worded response. It became noticeable enough that I actually asked him how often he used AI. He laughed it off and asked why he would need to. My point was exactly that: the messages were so consistently elaborate, emotionally attuned and precise that I started wondering how realistic it was for one person to communicate like that all the time.

So please - especially women using dating or connection apps: be careful when somebody becomes intensely emotionally invested in you very quickly. Do not assume that weeks of conversation, voice messages, phone calls or videos prove someone's identity. And the moment someone you met romantically starts guiding you toward a specific crypto platform, mining service or investment opportunity -stop and verify everything independently before even registering! If someone promises extraordinary returns with little or no possibility of loss, treat that as a major warning sign!!
I trusted my intuition, stopped, researched it and blocked this profile instantly.
