It was rather quick & easy. There was no hassle. We started in November. Our home is just what we needed. It is a dream come true.

They don't approve a house that you really want. It is basically their choice of house. No matter how many you look at. And they don't make the necessary repairs they ought to make within the 6weeks of repairs. You have no control over anything. They basically just want your money. And rent is very high. I hope they give back your savings.

Prompt, courteous service. Whenever I've reported any issues or concerns with the home, the Divvy team has been there for me. This feels like a true partnership towards home ownership. I appreciate that I can always count on Divvy to come through when needed.

Only writing this because it’s not many people out there who have made reviews. The process is quick but you have to have your money ready. I went with one of the divvy owned homes. The reason I did this is because the monthly payment fit my budget. I went into the house and it was nasty, dirty, lights flickering, lights not working, and a major appliance (range) was malfunctioning (burner was not working, light saying that the stove top is hot says on all of the time, and oven does not close all of the way). I told my agent and she put in a maintenance request for it.
When I went over to the house to check out the “repairs and fixes” the house was wiped down barely, carpets were vacuumed, floor was still sticky, place was dusty, filters were old, and the range was still disgusting, not closing properly. Lights were still flickering and some still did not work. I told my agent that there is no way that this place will pass a normal loan inspection process. My agent said that because divvy is a new company based in California they don’t have the resources to address my issues. I asked can they consider this in the price of the home and my agent made it seem like there was no debating the price. If Divvy owns the home cant they change the price?? Especially since they have been saying that they are being more conservative with their offers. This company owns thousands of homes. You would think addressing a range and cleanliness of the property would be a drop in the bucket for them. Especially if they just lowered the buy back price in my case or simply swapped out the stove.
I ended up dealing with it and pulling the trigger. I emailed divvy many times. No one gets back to you ever. If it is like this now I can only imagine how it will be when it is time for me to buy… Divvy, you need to consider your buyer experience, there should be additional help on Divvy’s side not just the agent. Consider making it more livable for the renter and I am telling you they will convert and buy. Also, the clause that says if your house doesn’t appraise is bull. You telling me that if the place can’t appraise I have to come up with the difference? That is predatory and you all know it. Buyers beware.

Your company truly can make people homeowners, despite the economy, inflation, etc. If people truly have the desire to own, you make it happen. Stay the course and the years of renting will turn into responsible homeowners.

After living in our dream house for a year we discovered foundation cracking, DIVVY filed insurance claims and had the foundation stabilized, not fixed as this would cause more problems. The company hired installed the helical piers, but DIVVY did not come back and repair the tiles broken up on the back patio to install the helical piers, nor did they replace several bushes that were dug up and replanted and died. Now we believe that all the tiles falling off the wall in bathroom were also a result of the foundation sunking and they refuse to fix. Any yes I agree, get your own inspection done, our inspector said the dishwasher was noisy, first time I used it, flooded the kitchen and NO DIVVY does not fix. Also this house does not have gutters, Took off to paint house before sale and did not replace or maybe never had them, therefore water runs off under this unstable foundation...AND you guessed it DIVVY does not fix this either...no communication with real people, only either home portal on website and emails. What we thought was a good idea to buy our dream house, it has been a nightmare, to say the least. As unhappy as we have been, we have NEVER, EVER recieved a phone call from anyone in this organization to assist.

Nice to have the option to choose a home, however lacking in assisting with repairs, calling it maintenance and not verifying repairs with the renters. Instead trusting contractors.

Going through Divvy allowed us to get into a neighborhood we have been wanting to live in for yrs but never thought it could happen. They work with you & tell upfront how the process works & what you need to do to purchase your home. They have been great.

While this company looks like a great idea, im spending 50% over what the mortgage should be and barely making it. There's no customer service and ther is absolutely NO way out of the contract. God forbid life pulls you away from the house.

My Divvy realtor Shaura Rodgers made my whole experience so convenient for me and was more than willing to help me understand anything I needed help with she’s such a gem to the Divvy organization ..she deserves all of her flowers. I recommended Divvy to all my friends and family because of her

Honestly most of the process was smooth and easy. But because it is a new build and some other issues that happen before hand, the closing was a little frustrating. That isn’t totally Divvy’s fault but the communication could have been better. Other than that, I recommend this program to anyone that is able and ready. And I have sent people to the website to check it out. I sit in my new home now and very happy!!!
