disappointing technical experience

This is the most disappointing experience imaginable. There is plenty to watch and sometimes it works no problem, but mostly the films don’t play, things take forever to load, sometimes there is sound and no picture. The hours spent trying to make it work is infuriating and desperately disappointing for kids. A complete s**tshow that is not worth the time and the money.

So apparently cant contact thhem on chat without an account. Then you log in to chat amd they cant see your account. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
Poor poor service. Then if youre lucky enough to get logged in and subscribed you will have to re log in every time. Unless you only have 1 TV in your house. Terribly put together for what it is

They've lost a customer

I subscribed and went to put the code into my tv so I could watch it on there and I went to sign back into my disney account only to be told password error even. I logged in before that so I knew it was right. I typed it in again after double checking to see if it was right and it was and I still got error. Luckily I managed to login again using one time code and I got to my account and managed to unsubscribe. Terrible.

Blue circle of uselessness

Great programs and films, pity the app is absolutely useless. I have so much difficulty loading anything on it, most of the time I get a blue circle followed with “something went wrong” message.
All other streaming services work fine.
As soon as my sub runs out I will not be renewing.

Terrible

The worst app out of all the streaming ones. Constantly crashing, trying to select a movie to watch and just loads and then brings you back to the Home Screen repeatedly. Ads even though you pay. Absolutely terrible - will be cancelling.

One of the worst streaming services…

One of the worst streaming services I’ve dealt with. The customer service was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I spoke with a representative named Evangelia, who was very rude in her written responses—I have screenshots to support this.
I requested a callback from a manager, but no one ever followed up. It feels like Disney is more focused on money than on treating their customers with respect. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Disney to family or friends.

Disney plus is a joke

Disney plus is a joke. The app is a slow bag of shit, their stupid system only ever offers me shite to watch, not the programmes/movies we actually watch and continuously won't allow access to the app. Thieving nazi fascists!

Illegally rolling over subscriptions withoutnotice

Yes it's a one star from me due to the fact that in the UK they do not send renewal reminders. This is considered to be sharp practice here, and will be illegal in 2026 Digital Markets, Competition and Consumer Act 2024. Taking £149 out of my bank account without asking and burying it in the Ts and Cs. BE VERY CAREFUL AND CALENDAR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION OR THEY WILL TAKE THE MONEY. I will be writing to the competition and markets authority.

Let it go????…

We were so looking forward to ditching our over priced TV provider and chose specific apps...Disney Plus, affordable, great range of films, sitcoms etc but the lag or going too fast is really annoying and too frequent. Real shame as we love the concept

Fake reviews

I do not understand why there are so many bad reviews when I've been using disney plus for over a year and found the service brilliant. I pay for my package though my mobile plan, Vodafone and find many different series and films to watch on both my tablet and TV. I would definitely recommend signing up and take no notice of these fake reviews. I'm a real person and not a robot

Buggy

Buggy, slow, limited range and the use of password sharing between friends and family used to be helpful - the cash grabbers don't allow this any more. Really poor, such a shame. I'd recommend the turn to second hand, physical media. Pay for something you can keep.

would not finish episode

There is an issue with streaming (it cut off the last minutes and switched to the next episode - yes, on its own: I know how to use the player): I could hop in some seconds later in the video, it plays for some seconds and then switches to the next episode again. You can forward a little: the footage is there until the end of the current episode but it just would only play some seconds and then go to the next episode: NCIS S14E10. Now, I cannot report it as there is no such functionality. The help bot does not get it. When I ask for a human being, it says I would have to log in for a live chat, which I am and press the live chat button, but the bot says "Let's try this again". Very arrogant to make it difficult on purpose as Disneyplus can't do wrong.

Not what I expected from Disney…

I would like to provide feedback regarding ongoing access issues I have been experiencing with Disney+. These problems occur across multiple legitimate situations and have made the service difficult to use consistently.

When using 4G on my mobile device, I am frequently denied access with messages stating that I am using a VPN or that I am out of region. I am not using a VPN, and I am located within the UK, so these messages appear to be incorrect. This prevents me from watching Disney+ when I am away from home, even though I am still within my subscription region.

I also encounter problems when I am babysitting my granddaughter. Even when connected to her home network, Disney+ will not allow me to access the service. This is particularly disappointing because part of the reason I subscribe is to enjoy Disney content with my family, and these restrictions make that difficult.

At my own home, I regularly lose access because the service reports that I am “not part of the network,” despite being connected to my household internet. This happens unpredictably and disrupts normal use of the service.

These issues feel inconsistent with the way Disney+ is advertised. The platform is promoted as something that can be used “anywhere, anytime” and “on any device,” but the current restrictions and access errors do not reflect that message. As a customer, this creates confusion about where and how the service is intended to work.

I am also aware that subscription prices have increased recently. With higher costs, I would expect improved reliability and clearer access policies. Instead, the experience has become more restrictive, and the service feels less flexible than before.

Disney has always presented itself as a family‑focused company, and that is one of the reasons I chose to subscribe. However, the current access limitations make it difficult to enjoy Disney+ with my granddaughter or use the service outside my primary home, which seems at odds with the family‑friendly values the brand promotes.

I hope this feedback is useful in highlighting areas where the user experience could be improved. Reliable access across legitimate networks, clearer communication about Household restrictions, and alignment between advertising and actual functionality would make a significant difference.

Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

Pure Greedy

It was advertised as being able to use £7.50 Tesco vouchers to get 3 months of Disneyplus. We tried so hard to collect Tesco points and converted our Tesco points to vouchers only to find out this greedy company has increased the deal to £9 of Tesco vouchers instead of 7.50. Unbelievable! No way we can collect that many points now quickly during the Xmas holidays for the kids to watch DisneyPlus.
