Underwhelming! Not sure what the fuss is about. I can name 3 local curry houses who do better dishes. The only saving grace was our lovely server, Adam

Nice dining experience during the soft launch
Visited the Covent Garden branch during their soft launch. Received a lovely welcome and great service. The food was reasonable and there was a good and warm atmosphere. I enjoyed the meal and ambiance and would be happy to return. I believe they have a halal menu but I couldn't see this mentioned anyway in the restaurant or on the menu which was a shame.
Top restaurant!
We went into Dishoom Covent Garden for breakfast on both mornings of 5th/6th December. The first morning, they were very busy. The waiter didn’t say that the Date and Banana Porridge was bottomless, plus we waited ages for refill of the chai tea.
On the second morning, we were served by a young lad called Carlos who was just so polite, efficient and welcoming.
I had the Date and Banana porridge which is to die for!
It’s not just the food you have to take into account, but the standard of service and attentive staff. We also tried the sausage naan and the Bombay breakfast.
Go and try it! You will need to book online!

I was excited to try the infamous Dishoom, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. I ordered the Bombay Breakfast and a Bacon and Egg Naan Wrap.
Bombay Breakfast: nothing special, an Indian-inspired version of the English breakfast. Everything was good.
Bacon and Egg Naan: this was a big disappointment. Barely had any bacon, which would've cut the Sause inside.

Delicious & reasonably priced Indian street food. The ques are regrettable.
Very disappointed
My wife and I booked lunch at the Carnaby restaurant. The food was very disappointing. We ordered the house black dall, which actually tasted like a spicy Heinz tomato soup, and quite sickly. I ordered the Salli Boti half plate, which was about the size of a starter at £14.90, and the crunchy salli crisp-chips tasted like chipsticks. My wife's chicken Tikka was ok, but slightly stringy. Overall, we were highly disappointed, especially at £45 for a lunch.
Service not good place for dinner
Service not good place for dinner, service and food quality is not good and staff doesn’t care about the customers . Worse experience of my life at this location.

Cedric the french waiter @ king cross deserves a promotion , customer service was absolutely exceptional would go back just for that service ,food was great Also worth the 3 hour wait .... well it was the last day of the chancellor’s offer 😁
Great food and great service
Great food and great service. My only negative comment would be the staff dressed far too casual; jeans and trainers rather than something more restaurant-like. Also the masks worn by the staff were not identical which makes me think staff were responsible for providing their own masks.
GREAT AT HOME EXPERIENCE DURING COVID…
GREAT AT HOME EXPERIENCE DURING LOCKDOWN!
DELIVERED BY DELIVEROO - FOOD WAS HOT, SAME HIGH RESTAURANT QUALITY AND WONDERFUL PACKAGING (THATS WHY THE FOOD WAS WARM). OTHER COS SHOULD LEARN FROM YOU - ONE OF THE COVID STANDOUTS WHERE EVERYONE ELSE IS FAILING....
Best Indian Resturant ✅
I remember visiting this amazing restaurant back in 2017 in Covent Garden for the first time and I was amazed by how delicious and authentic the food was! Reminded me of home with their steel glasses etc
Good value for money 👍🏻
It was truly the ultimate Indian experience, the kind staff surprised me with a birthday song and dessert treat, portions looks small but they are unbelievably large! I was absolutely stuffed lol
