Horrible credit card company. Stingy with extending credit to responsible and meritable customers. I just closed my Discover credit card account because they would not extend my credit line after years of being a customer. They assumed I would be satisfied with their "crumbs." I told them that I have thousands of dollars of credit through other credit card companies and didn't need them. Good riddance to them!
So I had a merchant that I had a monthly subscription with. I cancelled the subscription. Three months later they charge me. I disputed the charge. The merchant provided info to Discover that it was a monthly service. They didn't bill me for two and half months. Then they charge me and Discover finds in their favor. When I call Discover & tell them they have the email chain outlining the subscription & the ability to see that I didn't get charged for two months, they tell me to contact the merchant. Cancelled my card and I will NEVER use Discover again. They do not stand behind their customers, even when they have proof that the merchant shouldn't have charged them.
Got paperwork for new discover card. Papers said you can pay off your other cards with new card. When I went to do that they said sorry can’t do capital one because they are now the same. That’s my old cards. Nothing on flyers said that. Tricky
