I thought it was about time I wrote my review of our experience with Discover Access.
For us it started with a pretty awful first trip to Malta in 2018, we had a week off and needed a break, we had planned Turkey but couldn't get the flights and Malta was suggested so we had a week in Qawra with Teletext Holidays staying at the White Dolphin. On arrival our hands sank and could have easily taken the taxi back to the airport as the accommodation was such a dump.
Tried to find representative who were next useless.
Anyway second day of holiday and we were stopped on the front at Qawra and invited to a presentation.
Being aware of the hard sell of timeshares we planned to listen and stick our guns as I expected it to be way too expensive.
Anyway we listened and had the tour of the Club Riza (sadly no more RIP!) and we were incredibly surprised at the price, unlimited weeks and no maintenance fees, seemed too good to be true.
Decided to work out some figures and taking in account the two free weeks we were offered I established that we only needed to use it a handful of times to get our money's worth so actually was a no brainer, especially with discounted UK breaks too which we expected to make use of too.
In the end we tried to negotiate a room at the Riza for the rest of stay as our own accommodation was so awful, but sadly the Riza was fully booked, however we negotiated a day pass to allow to use the pool and facilities at the Riza which we truly made use of, only sleeping in our dump.
There was no hard sell and we could have walked away had we chosen to do so.
Thanks to Discover Access we salvaged something from our 2018 holiday.
Unfortunately through no fault of Discover Access it would 4 years before we returned as sadly my wife was taken ill just before our 2019 holiday and diagnosed with cancer and despite coming through we then had the global pandemic.
In 2022 we returned and payed a small fee which gave us back those lost years and we had a wonderful stay.
The Riza was wonderful accommodation and the best apparthotel I've experienced. We were therefore gutted that 2022 was it's last year.
We have since returned and stayed at the Mayflower a few times, the most recent being in one of the penthouse rooms which along with the excellent breakfast package has been a wonderful stay, although we still miss the spacious suites at the Riza and would like to see a decent apparthotel option.
We have also made use of UK breaks too with an excellent 7 night stay in Scotland.
We are looking forward to making up for last time and making the best of the club.
It has worked out for us and has been excellent value for money.
The only word of caution is the meetings during each stay in Malta when they will try and sell upgrades, just need to stick to your guns if it doesn't work for you.
That being said overall we have happy.

Hotel Roma Tor Vergata is located in a quiet residential area. It's clean and well cared for, staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are well equipped, has coffee machine, kettles can be requested at reception. Plenty shops, cafes and supermarkets within ten minutes walk. Will need to buy a rechargeable card for public transport brought and topped up at train stations, all roads around hotel have great bus links, just tap on /off.

Loved it at club las calas
Great location and not more than 10 mins walk from the sea front.
Great on site restaurant for breakfast/lunch & evening meals.
Only downside which is being addressed was room needed upgraded.

Our first holiday to Malta we were approached by a guy who was very friendly and gave us a sob story about how difficult it is to get people to review a hotel, Dave I think his name is, he said he gets £5 for everyone who goes for a look and offered us freebies, he even escorted us to the hotel(so we were unable to get out of it), we were very gullible and because we are nice people we literally got the p*** taken. From the beginning it was sitting chatting then a video of what we could have for a little amount of money, we were escorted through the hotel and asked for our opinion, it was nice. Then the hard sell took place, we were set upon by the manager Hughie, who was a survivor of cancer no less. No time to decide, the offer wasn't available the next day take it or leave it, pure pressure from then on, surrounded by people trying to be our friends and telling us it was a no brainer. Stupidly signed our names and said goodbye to £1,900.00, which we are left paying but no sign of the amazing holidays for less than half price. Luckily we got out of the 10 year one but have to commit to the 2 year plan, no cooling off period for this, seemingly. Total con I don't know how they sleep at night took advantage of vulnerable people with no idea of the consequences, we were just glad to get out in one piece, not a nice start to our holiday, I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN MALTA EVER AGAIN.

We have just come back from a lovely week in Malta staying at the Mayflower hotel. After finally meeting two team members from Discover Access they were friendly, polite and explained previous questions and concerns we had. Email addresses were changed promptly and we are now receiving update contact and newsletters. Last year we stayed in Tenerife at the Golf de Sur Santa Barbara hotel which was excellent and would highly recommend through the club.

We go to Mayflower Hotel in Malta and have done this for the last 3 years .
Discover Access are exceptional ,the hotel is spotless clean and the staff are all friendly and approachable.
The hotel is in an ideal location but as my husband is disabled I have a mobility scooter waiting for him there .
The large airy reception is happy to keep the scooter and even charge it when needed .
We have taken advantage of the discount card and would highly recommend this company .
We will continue to return to this hotel as it’s a pleasure to visit .

Fantastic holiday as always, my only complaint is that these 2 weeks went too quick

The reservation team at A2L are brilliant, prompt and very helpful, They manage your requests quickly, the service they provide is second to none. Keep up the good work girls.
We use the Mayflower in Malta , Hotel is well run , the staff are brilliant to work with. The rooms need to have a toaster to supplement the drinks equipment provided. Through you can get breakfast as a package with the hotel, but not everybody needs a big breakfast.

The booking process was first class, well managed and so easy.
We asked for a specific date and within 24 hours received confirmation and payment details. No problems from me.
The resort of club dunas gave what it said (on the tin) in the reviews, will be back

This morning we agreed to go to a presentation with the company...spent 2 hours with Fiona who was simply wonderful and well informed...we decided that the timing wasn't right for us to join up as we have lots of trips already booked for the rest of the year to take advantage of the membership... we were treated well by all the team but sadly had to turn them down... i would like to thank them all for their humanity and professionalism.. i hope our paths will cross again in the future

Booking was straightforward and easy. Check in was easy; staff were helpful and courteous and gave clear and helpful information about the resort and the local area including restaurants, bars and ATM facilities. Car hire and tours could be booked on-site.
The apartment/house that we had was spotless clean and well equipped although it didn't have a corkscrew (small thing). The on-site bar was well stocked with friendly efficient staff and the restaurants on-site were all excellent. In general restaurants in the resort as a whole only dealt in cash - just something to be aware of. We will definitely return.

Very adaptive for our requirements. This being the last time we will use your excellent service ( too old to travel abroad anymore} The transfer of the weeks was painless and efficiently done. Using MacDonald resorts are excellent for us as we have two dogs. This is the third different location in Scotland we have stayed in.
