This company left me holding the bag! I booked 3 scissor lifts a week out for out of town job. I call them the morning the lifts were due to be delivered. They said would get back to me right away and hour later , got email asking if I could use a smaller lift. Due the ceiling height this could not work for us. Next get email apologizing how sorry they were. I have crew of 6 that under deadline with no equipment to their work. Discount Lift cost me $1000's in lost time, wages and in my reliability as a sub to my GC. If you need equipment for rent , run away from this company. Not Reliable!!!

Customer service was great, The Rental I ordered came in 1 day late, but customer service picked up the phone with no wait every time, and effectively helped solve the issue and compensated for the lost day.

Reserved a 6k telehandler on April 22 2021 for a timeframe spanning July 12 2021-Sept 6 2021. Having a reservation, I went ahead and scheduled delivery of a Log home where I need to offload 5 semi-trucks over that timeframe, beginning on July 16th. Kate was good to work with and timely to get my reservation initially setup (in April) but....

Fast forward to June 28, 2 weeks before reservation start date. I received a call where I was told they did not have one available and I either needed to re-schedule or pay twice as much from another company. Sound like a Seinfeld to anybody "you know how to take a reservation but you don't know how to hold a reservation." This left me scrambling to find an alternative or pay twice the signed contract cost. I seriously do not understand customer service these days, it is becoming non-existent (not just with DLR). In this case I thought my reservation was with DLR but apparently they are just a pass-through and my real reservation is with the underlying rental company and if they throw a wrench in things, DLR is not responsible to uphold their signed contract with me. According to DLR this does not happen very often but those are lost words when you are the one this is happening to, regardless of how often.

Luckily I was able to find a local company who was having one returned on July 12 and I could have it July 13th at roughly the same price as my now void contract with DLR (not even close to twice the cost).

Lesson learned, with any "reservation" get an idea on what is meant by that word and attempt to have a backup.

It was a very good process all over, I was very pleased with the price , they delivered the machine and picked it up , everything was over the phone , very professional, really Happy

I rented a 19" scissor lift to install lighting and chandeliers in my home where I have an 18" ceiling. Ladders just wouldn't have worked and scaffolding would have taken hours to install and take down again. It was delivered the day after I ordered. For tool rental it was pretty expensive but it was really the only way to do the tasks I needed. If fit though my 78" tall house door with half an inch to spare... Pickup was a day late so I got some extra use to and fixed some roof tiles! My wife even got a kiss from our second floor bedroom window with me outside on the lift which she thought was hilarious... Pickup and delivery was very easy and the drop-off driver gave me a quick lesson as well which I really appreciated. I had it for a week and never needed to charge the battery.

Absolutely horrible will never rent from discount life rental again.

Yes they solve it by telling me they dont rent just the bucket but charge me additional $230 for just a bucket.
Brought it late that day and wanted to pick it up early on the 5th day.

I needed a tele-handler to offload my swimspa from a flatbed and drive it into my back yard. They dropped off the tele-handler right on time and it was exactly what I needed. The cost of this rental was significantly less than the other quotes that I got.
