Do not use this app, use Fluxer or Stoat
After a major data breach, this company felt the need to add age verification for all accounts, assuming otherwise that you are a teenager, thus have limited actions on the platform.
They specifically decided to work with a verification company which is known for keeping and selling user data.
Just use an alternative like Fluxer or Stoat for messaging your friends. Discord is not it anymore.
Discord endangering customer data…
Safety concerns led me to cancel my Nitro plan and I’m considering leaving the app completely.
Discord is implementing a personal data collection policy for its users even after multiple high level breaches into user accounts and passwords. The last major breach was less than 5 months ago and exposed over 70,000 users to bad actors collecting their identities and log-in information.
The decision to push forward a policy that jeopardizes the safety of their user base for profit has frayed the trust they once had.
🩵 WE DEMAND JUSTICE AND CHANGES FOR ORELHA 🩵
The recent tragedy involving the live-streamed abuse of a dog named Orelha on Discord has sparked outrage and demands for change. Discord, a platform widely used for gaming and community chats around the world, was the setting where this horrific act was broadcast. The incident involved a group of teenage boys in Brazil who cruelly tortured Orelha, causing unimaginable suffering and ultimately leading to the dog's death. This violent behavior was not only filmed but shared with the intent of gaining attention, exposing a disturbing misuse of the platform.
This painful event highlights serious concerns about how content is monitored and what kind of behavior is allowed on streaming services like Discord. While the platform offers many positive experiences for users, this case shows a grave need for stricter controls and clearer policies to protect innocent animals lives from harm and to prevent violent content from being shared. It also raises wider questions about accountability, especially given the troubling background of the perpetrators and the response of those around them.
In remembering Orelha, it’s clear that justice goes beyond punishment; it requires a commitment to change. Discord has an opportunity and responsibility to strengthen its safeguards, ensuring that no other animal or vulnerable victim suffers in such a way on their platform again. This tragedy should galvanize the community and the company alike to demand transparency, better moderation tools, and educational efforts to combat cruelty online.
Ultimately, the heartbreaking story of Orelha is a call for action—a reminder that technology must be used responsibly and humanely. Platforms like Discord must stand with Brazil to meet this challenge, fulfilling their duty to create safe spaces free from violence and abuse. We owe it to Orelha and countless other animals to make sure this never happens again. Stronger protections and genuine justice are what users, and society at large, deserve.

Phone Verification System Failure – Months Without Fix
Discord’s phone verification system has been completely unreliable in my case.
For months, I have been unable to link my legitimate Saudi phone number. The same error keeps appearing:
“This phone number is unable to be associated with this account.”
I submitted multiple support tickets and followed all recommended troubleshooting steps. Nothing worked.
Facts:
• Only one Discord account
• No duplicate accounts
• Personal phone number
• No policy violations
Yet Discord’s system continues to block verification.
What’s disappointing:
• No permanent fix
• Generic responses
• Issue persists for months
A verification system should prevent abuse, not create problems for legitimate users.
Discord Support acknowledged the issue but did not resolve it.
This seriously impacts trust and usability.
You really thought.
Taking orders from pedophiles trying to rig elections to gather ID data is probably the worst way to protect children. Shameful.
I'm specifically quitting discord due to this move.

I had a rate limit error that caused me to get logged out of my account, and I couldn’t log back in because it kept saying that I had a rate limit error. I asked Discord support what I could do to fix it, or if they could fix it for me, but now it has been 3 months and the error is still not fixed. I have contacted support many times and explained what the error is, but they have never helped me with it. A lot of times they marked the status of my support request as solved, even though they did not help me with the error.

Roblox Age AI ahh
This is like the Roblox AI Age verification update but even worse. You might ignore the nitro subscription and some ahh moderation and things like that but THIS?! We were asking for better moderation, not ts 🥀
Thieves
Unbelievable they would ask for your actual government ID right after a data breach not to mention the constant AI monitoring regardless of whether you've proved your age or not. Won't be using anymore
