A great social media platform to use. Discord is great for friends and for work. It is Nice and organized to use.

Very nice but some of the basic feature require a premium membership which is very annoying.

i was playing as usual with my friends and out of nowhere i got logged out of my account i checked my email fast and i saw that i got banned for hacking/fraud what da heck discord i did nothing of that i have iq -40 and u expect me to hack things? contacted support and their bot responded, get better

Why even white anything, there's no doubt you're the best?! I just love that I can jump on a channel, play a game and whenever a friend see I'm online, they go join me right away. Thanks for this!

This company is a total joke with no customer services what so ever. Stay away. Totally unprofessional. There answer to everything is that it is nothing to do with us

Discord is an amazing app to communicate, play and have fun with friends! It is very smooth and for all the 6 years I've used the app, it has never failed to amuse me. It's constantly updated and makes sure that the app is readily and perfect for users. Discord is amazing and I love it very much.

It's okay, its great for talking with friends, etc. However, the community is bad and there is a lot of online predators sending inapropriate images. My friend has came across one. Because of this, I deleted discord.

Really great, nice and easy to message friends and chat with random people. Great place to join and create a community. I've been using discord since 2017.

I have been a member since 2017 and some haters of mine mass reported me for "harassment" or whatever and I got my account banned after a couple days, I had an email that said to "Moderate" my discord server a couple days earlier than that, only 4 days later, I got my account permanently banned, I did not even have time to work on anything as I was busy in real life in the meantime.

I have sent many appeal attemps by emails but I never got a real, human non copy/paste answer which is disgusting as I have been on the platform and buying nitros since 2017.

You know its a great site. Extremely useful, its fun and it can help people. It's so amazing that it steals your data and sells it! None of your info is safe! The data they save includes all your private messages so nothing is safe. I hope you enjoy using it and them profiting off your data!

Discord please don't ban me. Im just saying the truth and if you ban me I will edit my review and this will be visible to everyone so that they know you don't want this review out there. You are one of the sites that would do that sort of thing so I ask you that you don't. :)

On sep. 22 my account got hacked and I message support for help, after 2 hours you came back to me and said that i had to do is to make another ticket with the email my account was on when I got hacked, so I did. And today nothing, during the last 4 days I have written 7 messages, made 3 tickets. and you haven't responded.

The people here at least for an average part like to catfish. If you deal with age regression you will be discriminated against and treated very poorly. The amount of verbal abuse I've dealt with because of being raped constantly is unreal. The admins, members, etc of a lot of servers will treat you as if you are horrible for dealing with said issues. This is my experience at least.

when invited to a server i get a captcha, when I try to verify with the captcha the captcha goes away and the invite becomes invalid, I say good job to discord for updating there security but would recommend using google captcha not captcha as hcaptcha as a lot of bugs and isn't that good in my opinion

If I can put less than one star I will put it.

I have an account in Discord, I lost its two-step verification code and I attached 10 proofs confirming that I am the owner of the account and with all the evidence and I communicated for a month with support and in the end they simply tell me that the only solution is to delete the account.

Some of the support is rudely closing my ticket without responding to me helpfully.

I lost years of work and I have important servers in my account, and their response is still the same.
I don't think I will use this app again and I will recommend anyone to stop using it

Allows Groomers to abuse children and post CSM.

Discord is utterly useless and if anything they basically approve of the abuse and grooming of innocent children.

When you want to report a server you suspect of hosting child porn. they ask you for message links. So you have to go in yourself and gather proof.

you gather proof. nothing happens.

Elin are little girls from a game called Tera online.
they are known to act, look and sound like children
so only pedophiles would use them in sex animations.

I made a burner account after discord was useless and wasn't willing to look into the server for me.

I have reported over 10 different discord servers
I made accounts to seek out this content and report it only for discord to sit back and do NOTHING about it.

the worst part is how someone can lock a suspected child porn server behind a paywall with subscribestar and discord won't do jack to investigate it because they only work with message links gathered from users in these servers

I use this app every day. Possibly because of its high community communication service and cross-platform ability.

If you saw a community that's rude, do not blame Discord, it's the server staff's fault.

The downside of Discord is that they use the most rubbish, trash and worst captcha - hCaptcha. And they do not allow client modifications according to their ToS, which kinda sucks as BetterDiscord adds a whole bunch of useful features to it

Whatever you ask to be done, as long as it's not something basic like "how do I restore my account password", they will always do nothing and make you wait for days without response, after which they will just come and say that there is nothing they can do and they have "eXtReMeLy StRiCt" policies which don't allow disclosing any reason. Trash company, trash support.

Discord has both good and bad elements to it after using it for 1 year.

The good elements are:

1. Ease of use.
2. Ability to connect with different groups and individuals.
3. Potential to develop creative and productive spaces.

The bad elements are:

1. Lack of accountability or professionalism. Seems like a rogue agent creating a 'Wild West' platform for any group to use.
2. Difficult to contact with concerns or complaints.
3. Groups I've been a part of are not managed professionally. Moderators don't seem to know what they're doing.
4. Heavily censored. Even discussions which don't fall under the server rules and are non-offensive are heavily censored. There is little freedom of speech to be found in Discord. 'Off Topic' is a go to phrase to explain this censorship when all other excuses fail.
5. I've encountered groups where scammers have exploited members for money. The difficult complaints process leaves members vulnerable to this type of activity and the 'Wild West' environment they create leaves little to be confident about in terms of safety.

All in all, Discord is a great concept but is not being managed effectively in a practical way. It seems like a platform where nobody is in control in terms of scams, but unprofessional Moderators are in control in terms of freedom of speech and expression. Seems like another extension of a company which became big during the Pandemic, but contributes to the powerlessness most of us feel in our current societies. I would avoid.

Amazing app...I use it daily. This app is probably one of the most used apps because of its cross platform abilities. By far one of the best made apps.
