A real pain
They are an absolute disgrace.
No one there to assist when phoning, not returning my calls.
Asking for paperwork from years ago that I don’t have access to any longer.
Not happy with the bank statements from page 2 and 3 as the bank doesn’t put a heading on these pages. Not my problem, things are how they are

Painful
Agree with others here, very slow and intrusive. They have received references from old employers but still want payslips or bank statements, why?? Who keeps old payslips, p45s etc from years ago when everything is electronic now.
cool application!

The process of uploading data was seamless and the question covered for background check covered all the aspects of an individual
My life was a living hell cos of these clowns.
After a catalogue of them losing my documents and demanding ever more and more information At 10.41 on the Friday before I start the job on Monday I received a call from Security Watchdog confirming that all security checks had now been completed and that I would now start receiving e-mails from my employers to confirm start details.
In the afternoon I did receive such messages from my new employer.
At 14.01 Security Watchdog contacted in response to a voicemail I had left them on Tuesday (FOUR days earlier)!!! I explained that my vetting was completed, the call ended.
At 17.22 I received the e-mail from SW requesting yet further information in order to process my application. I have provided my entire tax history and they still cannot get it right. What kind of people are they employing there? 5.22pm on Friday and I start work on Monday! By the time I saw this message their offices were closed.
The level of information SW are requiring goes beyond what is necessary to even obtain a passport in the UK, why should I give them bank statements showing three years of wages being paid into my account. Those documents are private, staff at SW can forensically analyse my life style choices based upon my buying habits as shown on my statements. Having already shared my entire tax record showing my monthly income for 3 years I think i have disclosed more than is safe for any individual other than myself to know. Additionally they required my mothers maiden name, my passport 8 times, utility bills, drivers license, address history twice.
The stress they have put me under with constant phone calls and messages, and their repeated loss of my documents and passport images it is more than anyone can stand.
I was forced to withdraw my application for the job, all I can say is that I was wise not to resign from my present role. From the moment SW became involved my life was turned upside down. If I had taken the job at any moment Security Watchdog could decide the information I have provided is not sufficient which then leads to my being dismissed. I have never been jobless in my life and I am not starting now.
In my past roles, I have on two occasions signed the official secrets act and neither of those jobs vetting processes required this level of intrusion into my private and financial details. I currently work for the police, I deal with extremely sensitive information and yet my security vetting though thorough was nothing like this nightmare and did not require such levels of intrusion.
The level of stress I have endured is intolerable. No business should have the right to snoop so deeply into the private life of any individual and to gather so much information that it compromises the individuals security. If SW had a data breach or any member of staff went rogue and steals my data my entire life is open for them to defraud me now. The fact that they are based in India the world's fraud capital does not bode well for anyone having dealings with that organization. I lost a perfectly good job because these clowns don’t know their backside from their elbow and now I am concerned that their prying will lead to me being defrauded in an ID theft scam.
Whenever I questioned staff about their data security I was just told that a data breach wasn’t possible and that staff are very honest, I am sure a scammer would say the same.
