I had a big chip on one of my lenses of…

I had a big chip on one of my lenses of my new glasses that got delivered. They wanted me to send them back, and would replace upon inspection which takes up to 14 days to process according to the return policy.
Explained I need a pair of glasses to drive and these are my only pair at the moment and was told there was nothing they could do until returned.
No idea how such a big chip on the lens could pass quality control/final check.
Obviously wouldn’t use this company again, frame and delivery were fine but to make me wait who knows how long for it to be sorted out and be without slight is ridiculous.

We take quality control very seriously, so it’s disappointing to learn that a damaged lens may have passed through our checks. That said, please also consider that despite our care in packaging, damage can sometimes occur in transit which may explain what you have experienced.

We regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate how difficult it is to be without your glasses. We can see that a discount code was provided to help you purchase a second pair if needed, so you wouldn't be without glasses while your original pair is returned for inspection and replacement.

Please be assured that all returns are processed the same day they arrive, and because your order was placed on our Next Day Express Service, any necessary remake will also be expedited in the same way.

Our returns information has already been shared with you and we look forward to receiving your glasses back so we can resolve this promptly and hopefully restore your confidence in Direct Sight!

Recent purchase 2 pairs one with existing frames and new lenses

The contact and the help from the staff on the phone was excellent.
Return was prompt and as promised the only negative from me was the lack of a glasses case with the new glasses.
For a few £ more would have happily paid for the inclusion of a case.

Thats ridiculous…

Thats ridiculous……i ordered a pair of glasses online at 13:50 yesterday, by 14:24 they had been dispatched, and by 9am this morning they were in my hands. Makes me wonder why I'm waiting 2 weeks for my glasses from a well know high street shop. Im also happy with the supplied glasses

Lovely glasses

Lovely glasses, I ordered next day delivery but took a while to come due to the strength of my lenses, my fault for not reading the delivery terms!! But once they had the lenses, made them, they sent them straight out. Really impressed would definitely use them again.

Very Impressed!

My puppy has chewed my Vivienne Westwood glasses on Tuesday. I have called Specsavers (I have been their customer for last 8 years) to get my prescription and try and order new glasses urgently as I get headaches without them. The experience with them was terrible, they wouldn't tell me my prescription due to GDPR, and their 'Express Service' was 7-10 days.
I have managed to find my prescription, and googled express glasses. I am so happy with the service.
I have made an order with Direct Sight on Tuesday at 3:17pm, they've confirmed receiving my prescription at 3:21pm and reviewed/confirmed it at the same time. They have then Dispatched my order at 3:28pm!
The order said that I should expect the delivery by Thursday but it was with me on Wednesday morning.
I am extremely impressed and surprised how quick and smooth it was, considering the service I had from Specsavers.
I have chosen fairly cheap glasses as I am afraid of my puppy getting to them again and just seeing if it's even worth it. So the make isn't the best, they're a bit stiff but they're light and comfortable and generally good all arounder.
I will definitely be ordering some proper frames from Direct Sight again! Amazing!

Exceptional service!

The service was truly exceptional: the website is easy to use and to identify the style of glasses I wanted, the ordering process was very straight-forward, but best of all, the team were extremely helpful after I'd placed my order when I contacted them to check the aspect of my prescription I wanted (intermediate) was clear, and to see if I could switch to next-day delivery instead. They responded really quickly, confirmed my order, switched to next-day delivery, and the glasses arrived in less than 24 hours of placing the order. The glasses are also perfect! Would absolutely recommend Direct Sight and will be using them from now on, thank you! :o)

Sent 2 pairs of designer glasses for…

Sent 2 pairs of designer glasses for reglazing. One pair ok the other got broke apparently. Got the email and offered a replacement no brand make. I declined. Then returned the other pair in my glasses case which was destroyed. They denied it was them. After the glasses were broke and the case it doesn’t look good. They returned my broken pair and refunded reglaze cost. Bit of a joke they broke my glasses and just sort of did nothing to offer to fix them or buy another equal pair. Avoid.

As frames age and go through regular wear and tear, the material naturally weakens especially around the lens grooves and hinges. Reglazing requires carefully removing and replacing the lenses, which can put additional stress on these areas. While we always take great care when handling customer frames, used (and well-loved) ones are more vulnerable to damage during this process.

In line with our Reglaze Terms and Conditions (agreed to at the time of ordering), we offered a replacement frame from our DS Collection with your customised, prescription lenses and completely respect your decision not to go ahead with that option. The order was cancelled, refunded and the frames were returned to you.

The second pair were successfully reglazed and completed as requested.

As discussed directly with you, we noted at the time of 'Booking In' that the case was unfortunately already damaged. While you mentioned it wasn’t a major concern overall, we still offered to send a new case as a gesture of goodwill to which this offer was also declined.

We have taken your feedback on board about customers being notified if items, such as cases, arrive in a damaged condition and we are reviewing how we can improve communication around this moving forward.

We always aim to resolve issues fairly and within our stated policies and regret that this experience fell short of your expectations.

Excellent frames & lightweight lenses

I'm delighted to have received one of the pairs of spectacles I ordered. They are absolutely fantastic! Even better than I expected. The frame suits my face, and they are comfortable. They are extremely light - just perfect. I'm impressed with the quality and the style, and the price was very reasonable. I'm happy to have found Direct Sight. It was easy to browse and view the frames, read all the information about the lenses, be aware of how much your spending. Also, there is plenty of information if you aren't satisfied. The whole process was very comfortable.

Ordered varifocal glasses…

Ordered varifocal glasses online with online recent prescription.
Altough I had forgotten about Pupillary Distance.
I sent email the next day that was acknowledged and acted on
Glasses were delivered ahead of schedule.
The varifocal lenses are as my prescription and I am getting used to 1 pair of glasses instead of 2.

What an amazing Company

Hidden charges requested after order agreed.

Hidden charges.
We agreed on a price via their booking form, and then they emailed asking for £25 more because my prescription had a prism. This hidden charge was not shown on their booking system. I have asked for a refund.

Prism prescriptions require specially manufactured lenses that are more complex to produce than standard lenses. These lenses involve precise adjustments to correctly align and balance vision, which means the manufacturing process takes extra time, expertise, and materials, warranting the additional cost.

While we strive to make all potential charges clear upfront, prism pricing can sometimes be overlooked in the ordering system on the prescription page, This detail is, however, present within our Terms and Conditions.

Fantastic customer service & speedy products onsite

Fantastic customer service, extremely quick turnaround time & cheap prices.
Very grateful to have new glasses made up and existing frames reglazed in half an hour at the weekend by visiting the premises in person and at the weekend on a Saturday morning.
Pragmatic & helpful advice.
Nice range of products and reasonable prices.
