Disappointed

New carpets supplied in our new build property by DCF November 2022 so just over 3 years ago.
We decided on a mid range with there just being the 2 of us and no children or pets.
The quality in my view is poor with a lot of flat pile and more worryingly tufts coming out of the pile on stair risers where you don’t walk !
We vacuum weekly and do not wear outdoor shoes in the property so find this very disappointing. Appreciate to a degree flat areas but this is still worse than we have experienced previously.
I contacted DCF and was firmly told this is to be expected to which I whole heartedly disagree, especially regarding risers. This is definable not a result of “ heel & toe “ catching the riser as was the reason given.
Disappointingly there was no ownership of the issues and personally I will not be using in the future.

I don't deserve one star the…

I don't deserve one star the workmanship is dreadful. I leave your place in an absolute mess. Gaps everywhere planks not glued down. You end up spending more time putting their work right? Absolute disgusting. Avoid these people.

Flawed Flooring!

I would urge anyone thinking of using "Direct Commercial Flooring" or "Euro Carpets" (both part of "DirectExhibitionFlooring") to immdiately look elsewhere.

They laid Karndean in our house very poorly. They did not ensure that the floor-boards were absolutely level before they laid down the Karndean, with the result that you can now see the outline of many of the floorboards underneath the Karndean!

They also splashed the transparent adhesive about so that lots of it got on the skirting boards and the bottoms of doors, and so with the passing of time the adhesive has attracted dust and looks filthy.

This company clearly makes a lot of money from selling Karndean but be aware that the two men who run the company don't do any of the physical work themselves, nor do they bother to ensure that the work is done perfectly by the workers whom they contract.

So avoid this company at all costs. They will charge you a fortune but will not ensure the work is perfectly done. And when you point out the flaws in their flooring, they will argue, and deny all responsibility.
