A very professional scam

A very professional scam! Avoid at all cost!
I was recommended this site by a person I had been talking to about cryptocutrrency over a period of time and had gained my trust. The site seemed professional and with hesitation I sent them some Bitcoin to invest for me with the promise of 30% returns every 24 hours. This never happened as they said i had clicked twice on the deposit button and needed to balance my account.
I was skeptical and questioned my person of reference and she said this had happened to her and she didn't think much of it. I asked her and She showed me transactions of her payouts and it being received into her account to reassure me.
I paid the balance, started placing investments. Emails came through consistently and my account was updated with profits daily.
I tried cashing out some of my earnings which in the FAQ page said would be paid in 24 hours.
Money never came through and when I questioned this on their 24 hour messaging system they said I needed to pay a maintenance fee first.
I asked how much, they said another $1000
I've learnt an expensive lesson and am writing this in hopes that it will save some other poor working class person from losing their hard earned money.
The site looks professional but don't be fooled.
