On 30/1/20 I had the rear window of my ute replaced by a young bloke who called himself ‘Harris’. He was on time, polite, did the job in a timely manner, and it looked good (as a side note, he didn’t clean up after himself very well and left shattered glass in the car and on the ground - no big deal, I cleaned it up myself).
Everything was fine, until the rain came - the passenger side of the window leaked like a sieve and the seat and floor became drenched.
I contacted Harris and he agreed to come once the rain stopped. No problem, right? Well, from that point things changed - he was difficult to get a hold of and would rarely answer or return my calls nor respond to any of my text messages.
Over a period of three weeks he failed to attend as arranged on four occasions (yesterday being the fourth), despite promising to do so, and without the courtesy of a call or text to let me know he wasn’t coming. Every time I called him back he made up excuses as to why he didn’t come as promised.
Well, today (3/3/20) was the final straw - it started raining again and I haven’t heard a thing from Harris, surprise, surprise! The most disappointing thing is that each time he promised to come the weather was fine, now I have water leaking inside my car again and I have to pay someone else to fix the leak, not happy!
The other disappointing thing is (after I saw online reviews) that I am one of a number of people who have been treated the same way.
The funny thing is that his website boasts: ‘Highest level of service,’ ‘professionalism,’trusted workmanship,’ ‘lifetime guarantee’ - what a joke!
In my opinion, Harris is full of false promises and excuses - happy to take your money but doesn’t want to know you when he has to fix a bad job.
NOT RECOMMENDED! I’d give zero ⭐️ if I could.
