Information provided by various external sources
Diabetic Supply are a UK based wholesaler of diabetic test strips and diabetic meters from the leading brands such as Accu-Chek, Contour, Freestyle and One Touch. We stock and ship blood glucose test strips and blood glucose meters from our own warehouse to the UK and abroad and we can deliver orders as quickly as the next day. We are fast, reliable, low cost and we reward existing and new customers alike with competitive prices and excellent discounts. Blood glucose test strips (diabetes test strips) are an important part of blood glucose testing. These small disposable strips of plastic provide a very important role in helping people with diabetes to monitor and control their diabetes. In the vast majority of cases, each meter will take one type of test strip only. There are some blood glucose meters however that take blood ketone strips as well, to test for ketone levels. Diabetic-Supply also provide these as well. How do I use a diabetes test strip? Blood is placed onto the test strip, it reacts with a chemical called glucose oxidase producing gluconic acid from the glucose in the blood. At the other end of the test strip, the meter transfers a current to the test strip. The test strip has electric terminals which allow the meter to measure the current between the terminals. The current between the terminals changes depending on the level of gluconic acid that has been produced. The blood glucose meter then uses an algorithm to work out the blood glucose level based upon the difference in current. Some blood glucose test strips allow the reapplication of more blood to the same test strip if needed during the test. The amount of blood required by a test strip can vary between manufacturers. Generally, between 0.5 μl to 1 μl of blood is required. Some test strips, not so commonly used these days, do not require a meter. When blood is placed on the active part of the strip and then wiped off after a specified number of seconds, the reagent will change colour and the result can be obtained by matching the colour of against a colour chart on the side of the pot. It is less accurate than using a blood glucose meter but the test strips can often be cheaper. Where can I get test strips? Diabetic-Supply sell a range of diabetic test strips and diabetic meters. We are a trusted supplier with competitive prices offering deals such as free UK delivery on all orders over £30. Shop from our range here. In the UK, all people with type 1 diabetes, or otherwise on insulin, should qualify for test strips free on prescription. People with other types of diabetes, or on other treatments, may also be given test strips on prescription but this will be judged on an individual basis. How long do diabetic test strips last? Blood glucose test strips (diabetic test strips) will usually have a use by date on the strips or box they come in. After opening, blood glucose test strips will typically be good to use for another 3 to 6 months but refer to the box or information leaflet for advice specific to your brand of test strips. Always use your older box first as long as it hasn't expired, this will prevent you from having to throw out test strips past their expiry date. How should diabetic test strips be stored? The information below is generally applicable for most test strips, but refer to the information leaflet for specific advice on the test strips you use: Store test strips at room temperature Do not refrigerate, as extreme temperatures can seriously damage test strips Exposure to humidity can render test strips unusable, and so can direct sunlight Keep test strips within the closed (sealed) vial Do not use test strips that have been in contact with dirt, crumbs, food or liquids Do not use test strips if they have been damaged in any way How accurate are diabetic test strips? Blood glucose test strips should meet specific International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accuracy standards when used with the meter they are designed for. What diabetic test strips do you stock? Diabetic-Supply stock a growing number of products. Right now that range includes Accu-Chek Aviva, Accu-Chek Active, Accu-Chek Performa, Accu-Chek FastClix, Abbott Freestyle Optium, Abbott Freestyle Libre, Abbott Freestyle Lite, Contour TS, Contour Next, GlucoMen Areo Sensor, GlucoMen LX, GlucoRX HCT Ketone, GlucoRX Nexus, Ketostix Reagent, MyLife Pura and One Touch Verio. We also sell a range of epaderm creams and ointments, lancets, syringes, pen needles and much more.

Smooth and efficient transaction.
Needed to speak to someone regarding the items I wished to purchase. Person who I spoke to was helpful and knowledgeable. Parcel arrived fairly promptly (well, it was Royal Mail) so very pleased with the service I received.
Ordered blood sugar test strips. Old stock received.
Ordered blood sugar test strips for next year; Disgusted to find they expire in February (two months away!) Avoid this company.

Place an order very early Friday morning. Paid for next day delivery.
Nothing arrived. Phoned company this morning. There excuse was DPD did not pick up the parcel. No apologies. Not even a phone call or email on Friday to explain the problem. Cancelled the order & asked for full refund. They didn’t seem to care.
Best Diabetic company I’ve used.
This is a review just based on my own experience with Diabetic Supply, I’ve only ever had a good experience using them.
The stickers are great, yes they do start to peel when getting close to my Libre ending but, it’s 15 days so I don’t expect them to be in perfect condition when it’s close to a change.
The Omnipod stickers are even better, as it’s only 3 days until a change and if they’re placed in a good position, in my own experience I’ve had zero issues with them.
Placed an order yesterday for special delivery and it arrived this morning so can’t fault the overall service.
Thank you
I purchased 10 patches for my freestyle…
I purchased 10 patches for my freestyle libre sensor and this is my 4th time ordering never had any problems ever until my last order i have gone through 6 patches in a week as not sticking so I sent a email to support team.
Unfortunately support was the last thing they did no support was given just was told this happens and all depends where we get our stock from but not they problem no offer to swap the product just send what you have left we can refund them but not the rest.
I lost a sensor that I'm having to pay for but can see on here that the company as a bad reputation wish I checked first.
Unbelieveable levels of incompetence
Unbelieveable levels of incompetence . Really disappointing service, thankfully there are other websites who can deliver faster and are much cheaper.
Very disappointed
Having had to wait 5 days for a paid express delivery, their customer response was dreadful..... Unsympathetic and totally unprofessional..... Very disappointed.... Shame on you
Extreme Disappointment - AVOID BETACHEK
There is a thumbwheel which you have to turn numerous times for each test. This is a real issue for elderly or people with arthritis. This is not made clear on their promotional material. I have contacted BETACHEK numerous times but have not had a reply back to raise this issue and to obtain a refund. I personally would not recommend BETACHEK to anyone.

Ordered a case for medtronic 780g and had nothing but a great service from them email say order was picked and shipped, email saying that the case was sent with a trusted delivery company and given a date and time for the delivery

They sent me a faulty device and refused to allow me to return it, instead telling to contact the manufacturer. Lied and said they asked me to send pictures. Corrupt company who will just take your money and run. God knows why the likes of Klarna are dealing with these cowboys!
Brilliant range and great customer service
I’ve used this company a few times now for libre sensor over patches as they have a fantastic variety of designs. There was a problem with my latest order and the customer service was fantastic- super fast response and resolution to my query. Really impressed and will definitely be using again in the future.
Very poor delivery service.
It has now been 5 days since I had an email saying they had alegedly posted my order. It is now saturday and still no sign, so unlikely to get it until sometime next week. These busnesses should seriously look at who they entrust to provide their delivery service or they will not have a business. Avoid if you need anything within 2 weeks.
Diabetes Management Supplies
Have increased the frequency of blood testing and required more ‘strips’, ordered via Diabeticsupply. Easy website in terms of function, products arrived on time. Would highly recommend.
GOOD COMPANY
Good products. I ordered some omni pod patches, and they are far superior than the others I was using - would recommend
Frauds
Frauds. Money payed 3 months ago and products were never send. They have never answered for my queries.
Lovely ‘local’ company
Really impressed with my order! Arrived on time and well packaged - have tried on my Not Just a Patch and I’m impressed- I emailed David a while ago and he was really helpful in recommending this product. Lovely customer service and love that they set this up from a personal story (similar situation to myself getting diabetes :( with their son) feels great helping a ‘local’ company. Will definitely order from again! Thanks guys :)

I have written two emails to customer service. Never had any feedback!
The first (the same minute I placed the order) was about the order cancelation due to the fact I understood that taxes will be applied.
The second one about the return and refund - as I refused to receive the order (due to the taxes) and it was returned to sender.
Also still haven’t received any refund!!!!
Really not nice experience!
I have asked two times for a refund…no refund
