Dexcom is a complete scam hiding behind medical tech. Their sensors and transmitters are overpriced. The app is so badly developed it rejects half of modern phones without warning, I found out AFTER b... See more

They're the most corrupt and evil…
They're the most corrupt and evil company in diabetic health and supplies. Stole my money, wouldn't refund me. Wouldn't let me order more. Been battling with them since September. Everytime I talked to someone they just give me the rin around. They don't actually listen or care just read what's off their script when you talk to them. They will tell you one thing, then tell you something else once you do what they previously said. They are the true definition of evil and greed. They don't care about you or your diabetes, they only care about money.
Great technology

Poor product and service
I am using the dexcom G6. Sensors rarely last the full 10 days, either failing early or providing inaccurate readings. Recently I have had a transmitter failure, after being told that they would replace it they sent me the incorrect item. Upon me letting them know, they said they would send me the transmitter but the second delivery has arrived and they have sent another sensor with no transmitter. It seems that whoever is working in customer service is unaware of the difference between the sensor and transmitter. I have been unable to use the closed loop feature of the omnipod because of this for over a week now.
Had 2 bad sensors and ran out.
I contacted technical support because my last sensor which I put on today said bad sensor. This was the second one in a 90 day period. Of course, my insurance won't grant me any until after the 14th. I contacted the support phone number and explained the situation and got "What do you want me to do about it" When I tried to explain again, he interupted me and said "I know what you told me, what do you want me to do about it?"I hung up! There is no support. So now I go back to finger sticks for 2 weeks. Thanks for nothing!
G7 problems
Do not go onto g7 reasons are:
1. Constantly goes off
2. Constant wrong readings
3. You will end up using 2/3 sensors in a week.
4. Randomly will disconnect and you will have to put new sensor on.
5. When trying to collaborate the readings it does not work you will go hours on end having wrong readings till u decide to take the sensor off and put a new one on to fix the issue
Yes the 30 minutes warm up session is amazing but overall the product is terrible and feels like it was a rushed job by dexcom. We will be going back over to g6 as we rarely ever had problems like this. We’ve been on g7 for a few months and we are struggling and getting stressed with the g7.
I’m a type 1 diabetic
I’m a type 1 diabetic, close to 80 years old, and have been a diabetic for 60 years. I started using the Dexcom G6 over 5 years ago and upgraded to the Dexcom G7 about 30 days ago. The G6 was essential for providing critical data on my blood sugar, and I felt confident the readings were accurate.
Over my initial 30 days of using the G7, I have NO confidence in having a properly functioning CGM. In fact, I've been using my ReliON meter to check my BS and have found that the G7 shows readings that are too high or too low on many occasions.
Misleading information is too common with this product, and I will discuss w/ my endocrinologist, The Freestyle Libre, which I hope is a better and more accurate product.
Dexcom G7 sensor repeated failures
Multiple Dexcom G7 sensor failures before end of 10-day life due to Dexcom using substandard sensor materials to save money. Multiple class action lawsuits on this issue and FDA adverse actions. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNTIL THEY FIX IT, IF EVER!
Customers have to waste their time
Customers have the ability to update their phone, address, etc., from their website. It’s supposed to be so that customers have an easy experience when opening tech support tickets. But, when we update information, we STILL have to call and talk to idiots who insist on verifying everything you just updated in your online profile.
If i were to update my information with Byram Healthcare, my doctors office, insurance, banking institutions etc., via online portals, we don’t have to call to repeat the process.
Dexcom makes it so customers have to waste their time by calling in even after updating and confirming their information through the user portal.
Horrible horrible HORRIBLE set up and procedure as it does nothing but waste time of the customer. If I wanted to speak with an idiot at Dexcom, I wouldn’t have updated my information in the portal.
I had a problem with my Dexcom G7 today…
I had a problem with my Dexcom G7 today and could not get to my pharmacy to find a replacement, but I called the help line and an amazing kind and helpful man Chris called me back and helped me activate the new G7 I attached that had already failed to work. He really made my day and confidence in my problem. Amazing guy and I thank him for this problem which is now solved.
Minor issues taint the overall experience
The software I use to 'follow' my son's T1D using Dexcom 7 keep having various weird issues; Right now I am suddenly unable to see any history and it merely displays a quick overview of what his current bloodsugar level is at. This happened completely out of the blue, from having functioned perfectly decent, to suddenly simply not showing any history. No updates, or anything that I am aware of; Simpy 'all of a sudden'. On top of that the app will 'all of a sudden' stop showing anything on the Follow app, only to start working again, at random for no apparent reason. Apart from that about 80% of all sensors he uses stop functioning about 3-4 days before time, not to mention other various struggles, such as disconnecting for no apparent reason. G7 may be slightly better than G6 in certain regards, but overall Dexcom really need to up their game and get a lot of issues sorted out, before they can be recognized as any kind of 'leading brand'.
My wife had 2 new Dexcom G7 units fail…
My wife had 2 new Dexcom G7 units fail shortly after application, from the same lot number. In addition the variation between Dexcom G7 reported blood sugar readings and a trusted meter is often 10-20%, not the 8-10% that is expected. Expensive technology that is prone to failure and questionable manufacturing quality. Wish I could go back to the G6, but that is being discontinued. Making insulin decisions on an untrusted device is dangerous. New users should be very cautious.

I use Dexcom one and very happy with customer service, the only annoying this is the actual sensors can come faulty with the wire coming out the wrong way but I never contacted them and they denied replacement. It’s just a hassle to post the faulty ones back but totally understand as they need to make sure that people aren’t just saying that.
Worst product/false sense of security.
Your product gives a false reading at all times!!! I was not aware that if you’re reading on your Dexcom says 120 you were actually 140+. Why on earth would you put out a product that you have to add or subtract 20 or more to the reading? When you are autistic, dyslexic, literal, elderly, you are not thinking about adding or subtracting when you see your number. The first thought in your brain is great my readings are good when technically they’re not. I thought that the Dexcom would be an end to pricking my finger to get a reading when in fact, I’m still pricking my fingers I'm so very disappointed, and upset for the money that we put out for the system.Unless you have a product with the actual reading, this shouldn’t be recommended to anyone, or on the market.

Their customer support in India is the worst. They are clearly reading from a screen and are of now help.
Been using their CGM products since G4…
Been using their CGM products since G4 (2014) as a T1D. I'm using their G6 CGM now. The products have worked better and better with every version and have improved my A1C considerably. That said, sensors and transmitters fail on occasion. This is where my issue begins.
A couple years ago Dexcom Tech Support appeared to be outsourced to an overseas phone bank. While this helps with availability of agents, the fact is the staff at Dexcom receive poor training (by Dexcom) and you can wind up in a situation like the one described below...
The issue:
I had a G6 transmitter fail one month into use. G6 Transmitters are warrantied to last 3 months. Without the transmitter the system is useless (No CGM readings).
1st call to Tech Support (7 days wasted):
Described issue and requested a replacement under warranty. Tech center started a replacement order but didn't complete it, so I never got a tracking # and nothing was shipped. A week wasted before I called again to follow up.
2nd call to Tech Support (6 days wasted):
This time an agent completed the order and within 48 hours I received a tracking # for FedEx overnight. It took their warehouse in Louisville, KY 4 days to prepare the order and one day to deliver (6 days in total, since one day was a Sunday). I get the package and there's a G6 Sensor, NOT a G6 Transmitter, inside!!
3rd call to Tech Support (3 days wasted):
In attempt 3, I spoke with a supervisor who apologized and told me he put through another Overnight Fedex order containing the Transmitter. 3 days later, after no updates (no tracking # provided) I call again.
4th call to Tech Support (3 days and counting wasted?):
It is revealed to me that the supervisor accidently checked off "courtesy replacement" and not "warranty replacement" for the transmitter. I was told courtesy orders, by default, are shipped Fedex Ground. And, because courtesy orders are lower priority it may take the warehouse up to a week to prepare and FedEx up to 7 business days to deliver. This call was made 3 days ago and still no tracking #.
So, I'm on day 19 without use of the CGM that I paid A LOT of money for. Tech support has been nothing short of a tragedy in its operation. I'm hoping within the next 10 days (just under 30 days in total) I'll get the warrantied transmitter replacement that was supposed to be here Overnight-Fedex 17 days ago. Good luck everybody!
Science denier Dexcom discriminates against Christians.
The westcoast commpany appears to be openly discriminating against Christians. My bank keeps notifying me that Dexcom is sending in an "autorization request" for the renewal charge, which my bank authorizes - but Dexcom refuses to send the actual charge. My bank is questioning their legitimacy at this point. And their questionaire indicates they are sceince deniers believing there are more than two genders and apparently men cann be preganant. I do not recommend this company - no need for them to insert themselves into politics. Stick to science, kids.

YOU CAN'T EVEN ASK THIS COMPANY A QUESTION.
This company doesn't understand either sales or customer service. Go to their website and check for your self. The contact page has no email, no phone number and no contact form. Ridiculous. Their App apparently only works with the thin slice of samsung phones which can't be right but I can't check with them. And If I did phone I would get through to the dreaded Indian call centre. AVOID
Dangerous
My husband's Dexcom 7 tells him his blood sugar is high and keeps delivering insulin. After days of feeling horrible he did a finger stick and discovered his blood sugar is low. Contacting the help line has been no help. This is a very frightening experience. He has felt sick for days.
I am disgusted the way he has been treated. Do they not realize this is a life or death situation?
