Deliveroo or Just Eat

I don't know who to write this review about.
We ordered from Deliveroo, the order was delivered half an hour AFTER it was collected 2 blocks away.....by a Just Eat driver.
The food was cold and unappetizing, a shame as the restaurant is actually quite good, but I won't be ordering anything from them again due to a lack of service from Deliveroo.
Now John from Deliveroo says they do everything to ensure the food is hot and safe, how he can promise this when he can't even make sure it's being delivered by his own staff member is laughable. And then there's the food safety issue, if you can't ensure the food is collected by the correct person, how can you ensure it's going to be safe?
I know Deliveroo won't read this or comment, but I ain't going away. I won't order another thing from this company, I would be very wary of anything delivered by them now.
Woodford Green has become a free for all with delivery drivers, guys arrive with ladies names, Indian guys arrive with the name Harry Metcalf (not a real name hopefully) etc etc etc....
Until you, Deliveroo, can sort these issues out we won't be able to use or recommend you.
And if anyone reading this thinks this isn't a serious issue...... you're wrong.
Food safety is at issue here. Your health is at risk because Deliveroo can't do anything about it, they're more interested in profit rather than safety.

Don't refund cancelled orders!!

Ordered something and I cancelled immediately and reordered as missed something off. They didn't refund the cancelled order even tho email sent saying it would.... Had to dispute through the bank. Awful service. Didn't even answer messages. Get a bot service not a human. Avoid and check your cancelled items are refunded.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

I’ve used them for years and spent literally tens of thousands of pounds with them. I’ve had 4 incorrect orders the past month and they are rude and gave no compensation at all ….no refund …no correct items . DO NOT USE!!

Dont care bout the customer

I ordered food off a restaurant on their site the deliveroo driver got lost blamed it on his sat nav
Food came was stone cold made a complaint and got told id get a refund my order was £14.56
I woke up this morning to a refund of £2.40 i started a online chat with a agentvand they said nothing they can do. They were not understanding sounded like they couldn't be bothered. £14.56 might not seem a lot but it is to me. But they still sticking to the 2.40

Horrific company

Horrific company! Scam you out of money when you don’t receive the items and don’t give any compensation so you basically pay for stuff you don’t get. Unhelpful rude staff. Deleted the app instantly! Avoid!

They will only get one chance to rip me off.

As the old saying goes, if someone rips you off once, it's their fault. If they do it twice, it's your fault.

I have used Deliveroo now and again over the years with very little issue BUT today I used them for a few bits from Asda.

Some items charged for were missing, so contacted them to basically be told 'Sorry, but we aren't going to refund you'!!

When pressed to explain why, they ended the chat. I found a number, only to be told to use live chat, despite me telling her they were useless & were only coming out with copy/paste responses that told me nothing before they ended the chat.

I'm shocked at how they think they can get away with treating customers who complain about being charged for fresh air.

I contacted my bank for a chargeback for the missing items and won't ever use them again.

What they hope to gain by doing this is beyond me as, even if they manage to screw the customer over on one order, surely the loss of future income negates this and more.

Deliveroo are essentially thieves

Deliveroo are essentially thieves. Someone sent me a 100 pound voucher which doesnt work. I have called their support desk 12 times, sent all requested data inc pin no for voucher over 8 weeks (yes 8 !) and been told each time someone would call back in 24- 48 hours. Nothing. I have requested they refund the money. They say the can't. So if the service doesnt work and they wont refund the money that is theft...

Struggling to even give one star tbh. Very regular customer treated like rubbish today when I received incorrect, cold and half full items. Was blamed fully on the restaurant. Spent £31 got £4 back

Deliveroo is a good service.

Much better than its competitors in my opinion. When I need a quick delivery of items I often find the best deal on Deliveroo.

Much better deals that Just Eat.

The courier’s attitudes vary. It’s not always warm and embracing. Clearly they’re not all trained on ‘Excellent’ customer service and a lot of the times many of them speak very little English.

The Deliveroo App is always glitching so many times I have to share my HotSpot so Drivers can complete the order.

But my orders always get here in a reasonable time and in acceptable conditions.

Absolutely unacceptable.

Absolutely unacceptable.
I waited over an hour for my order, only for Domino’s to cancel it without warning. No food, no proper explanation, just wasted time and frustration.
You make customers wait, then simply delete the order like it means nothing. That’s not service — that’s disrespect.
If you can’t fulfil orders, don’t accept them in the first place.
Very poor experience. Won’t be ordering again.

I ordered Waitrose groceries at 7.30pm tonight. After 2 hours I rang Waitrose to see where my order was as they had said it would be 40 mins max. Waitrose told me the deliveroo rider stole my bag of groceries. Waitrose sent me my order again luckily. Deliveroo - what kind of people are you hiring???
