Zero stars if I could

Zero stars if I could. Ordered a nandos. Driver claimed he called, he didn't. Staying in hotel with a reception and they now claim left on door step as couldn't get hold of me (lie) I was waiting outside, also if they couldn't get me, talk to reception who are right next to the door. Scammers.

Incorrect items - stress & hassle to get refund

First time using Deliveroo (for McDonalds) as sick and unable to cook. €37 for 2 Big Mac meals and 2 McFlurrys! Foolishly gave a small tip in advance. Both ice creams were mini instead of full size (because they didn’t read properly that “mini eggs” didn’t mean “mini”).

Such hassle getting a refund. 5 attempts - 2 calls to McDonald’s unanswered, Online claim was refused but I received no notification, Online chat only credited one item as I had only sent a photo for one. I sent my daughter to search the bin outside to get a photo of both items. Agent was gone and had to request from another. Finally got my miserable €9.60 refunded after 24 hours and many attempts.

Miserable, mean company who care more about a few euro than their reputation. Will never use again.

I always try to order direct from restaurants but made a foolish exception this once!

I will never use deliveroo again. JUST EAT IS BETTER!!!

I will never use deliveroo again! I ordered food from a restaurant in Belgium (FANTASTIQUE CROUSTY MOLENBEEK).
It never arrived. I was never contacted by the restaurant. Infact I called countless of times and I was sent straight to voicemail. Yet, when I reported it I was told that I would not be given my money back because “they are independent”. They lied about trying to contact me - I was staying in a hotel so if they tried to contact me, I’m pretty sure the hotel would have helped on their behalf.

I’ve reported this issue and tried to receive my money back but they keep giving me false solution resolving times. First it was 72hrs, I waited then it was another 72hrs and I waited again then 48hrs then I complained to them about what they’re doing and they just responded with they’re not giving me “compensation” which is very stupid because getting a refund isn’t compensation.

I should be able to get my money back because I never received the food!

All in all, I would rather use just eat than deliveroo ever again!!!!

Why ?

As a customer - they’re over priced - poor customer service and profiting from having no major competitors.

Witnessing from the restaurants pov - the account services are inconsistent- not transparent and often sloppy.

They rank up the with clampers - it’s not a company I would be publicly boasting about

They don’t honour their services

They don’t honour their services. They don’t sort the problems, they refuse refund when the customers are fully entitled to it. I waited very long for an order yesterday, the food arrived freezing cold, couldn’t eat, they refuse the refund even though they can see the order was delivered long time after placed.

SLOW DELIVERY AND WON'T DELIVER TO MY DOOR!
I live in Dublin 3 and I’m very close to most of the restaurants I order from, yet Deliveroo is consistently slow in my experience. You can pay extra for “faster” delivery, but that feels like a bit of a joke. If I pay more and also add a €2 tip for the driver, it just becomes too expensive — especially given how close I am. Most of the time it would honestly be quicker for me to get the bus myself.
Another ongoing issue is that drivers won’t deliver to my door. They nearly always call to say they’re “outside.” I’ve walked down to my gate many times only to find they haven’t even arrived yet. My driveway is about 17 metres long, wide open, and we don’t even have a gate — yet they still won’t come to the door.
I got fed up with waiting and stopped walking out to meet them, only for them to then wait outside expecting me to come out anyway. It’s frustrating and defeats the point of delivery.
Overall, slow service, poor value if you pay extra, and unreliable door delivery. Just Eat has better reviews, so I’ll be giving them a try instead.

Do they actually know there a delivery…

Do they actually know there a delivery service and they have to deliver the food ..... paid the driver a tip, paid the priority delivery fee, food took 90 mins to be delivered and was like an ice cube, when I asked the driver why so long he told me he went to 5 houses before me .... what's even the point in using this app if its not one bit convenient and is an absolute rip off ?

Ordered my usual order from Nandos and…

Ordered my usual order from Nandos and it usually comes in 2 packages as 1 was a salad. When delivery driver arrived, i noticed he had 1 package so i asked if he ddnt have another package for my order. He said no thats all he had. I tried to explain my order usually comes in 2 packages. He seemed annoyed with me. Tried to look at receipt to see maybe i forgot to order the salad and open the package to see maybe they put the salad inside in 1 package and he grabbed my hand and package screaming at me to give him the code. I was startled. Gave him code and he basically threw the package back at me. I tried to ask what about my salad and he just walked away and drove off. I get it wont be his fault if Nandos forgot to add my salad but his rudeness and grabbing my hand left me really appalled.

My rider account was deactivated…

My rider account was deactivated without warning or due process. For over two months I have tried to contact support and have received nothing but automated responses claiming they are “busy”. In that time, they have effectively taken away my livelihood over what appears to be a mistake.
There is no meaningful customer support. There is no way to speak to a real person. The only option is a useless automated AI chat system that cannot resolve anything. This is an inhuman way to treat riders and shows complete disregard for the people who rely on this platform to work.
The lack of accountability, transparency, and human support is unacceptable. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Food always cold!!

Food always cold!!! No matter what restaurant it comes from the food is always cold and there is often part of the order missing! Makes me so annoyed. Then the restaurant blames deliveroo and deliveroo blame the restaurant. Not exactly difficult to sort out. Take on more staff for delivery and have them sign to confirm full delivery is in the bag before the leave the restaurant.

Don't use

Don't use, parts of your order will go missing and the restaurant will say it was sent so must be driver stealing it. Deliveroo will say sorry we will resend but they won't and hope you just forget about it you have to keep ringing back for a refund

inexpierenced delivery staff

Deliveroo customer in Galway here, I ordered my food as usual online with tracking enabled but food didn't arrive nor driver called me, food was left outside of the area which I never found, I hope you guys at Deliveroo find that driver and make sure he'll never work with you again, angry rant here.
