Extremely disappointing response to repeated attacks
I contacted this service after repeated DDoS attacks were affecting my website, services, and game servers. Based on our network reports, a significant portion of the attack traffic appeared to be associated with their services.
I contacted their support and provided the relevant information, explained that I am the owner of the affected services, and asked them to prevent their users from targeting our infrastructure.
Instead of investigating the situation or offering a reasonable solution, I was told that their blacklist system is paid, with a cost of $50 per IP or $800 per ASN. I was also asked to provide proof of ownership of an ASN that was not actually ours, even though I had already explained that we operate the affected services under our own brand.
When I explained that I could not share the full network report because it contained sensitive information, I was essentially told that they could not help and was directed to their terms. The conversation was also quite dismissive, including a response along the lines of “Do whatever you want, feel free” when I mentioned taking legal action.
I understand that a provider may not be able to verify the source of every attack, but I expected a professional investigation and cooperation when reporting abuse. Charging victims for a blacklist to prevent attacks originating from users of the platform was especially disappointing.
