Joshua and his team were highly competent but also able to distil things into idiot speak for idiots such as ourselves! We also thoroughly valued his approach, asking for more than we thought necessary in order to fight our case and get the best possible outcome over and above what we had asked for. Really felt like he was on our side..

Great firm, good people, outstanding service.

I would highly recommend Dean Wilson LLP based on my personal experience. In particular Ben Davey and Tom Saady Gardiner. They handled my case with great professionalism, integrity and honesty. From our first introduction through to conclusion, both Ben and Tom were courteous and very thorough. They kept me fully informed throughout and explained everything in concise, simple terms, always showing great empathy. I cannot thank Ben and Tom enough for all they have done during an extremely difficult time for me and my family.

Outstanding service

The service we received from the Dean Wilson team was exemplary. We cannot fault their professionalism and they kept us fully informed throughout the entire process in their dealing with what was an extremely complicated and lengthy case.

They constantly protected us from the stress and intimidation by the defendants over the course of the proceedings to ensure we felt safe and informed and their expertise, efficiency and attention to detail led to a positive outcome, one better than we could have ever hoped for.

We cannot recommend the team at Dean Wilson Solicitors highly enough to anyone needing professional assistance in a personal injury case.

Expectations exceeded.

As a first experience using a solicitors, I was dubious of the service I would receive. I was more than pleasantly surprised.
They steered me through my options with exceptional professionalism. We had the opportunity to meet face to face, which made speaking on Teams so much easier.
Every stage of the process was explained in detail and they pushed to achieve a settlement very close to my expectations.
I would recommend using their expert advice should you need to.

Residential property dispute

Although I have not been a client of Dean Wilson, but being involuntarily put in a position to participate in sharing hefty fees which this firm of a highly dubious quality charged, as a party bearing the damage and being deeply affected by their activities I feel to be completely entitled to put forward the following review. I would urge anyone considering to use Dean Wilson and particularly the legal advisory services of Ms Gabrielle Moffatt who describes herself as an expert in "Dispute Resolution with over 20 years of experience in property litigation" but in reality comes across more as a conflict seeker thriving financially upon other people's misfortunes, to take a step back and think thoroughly before applying, as an involvement with this firm and the aforementioned individual could lead to a truly drastic horrendous financial consequences. Ms Moffatt was hired by our residential block property manager to advise and lead on a litigation case with one of the leaseholders. As it was discovered later, the conflict could have been resolved much earlier by involving into an amicable discussion with the leaseholder who filed a claim with the property manager and had been accused of breaching the lease terms by the manager who filed claims with the tribunal in response. As an elected representative of block's leaseholders (who also share the right of freehold in the property) I managed to pursue both parties to work towards amicable settlement to avoid the unnecessary court hearings with massive legal bills which have already resulted in overblown service charges for the leaseholders. It is important to say that smaller share of legal fees charged to leaseholders were attributable to breaches of lease, hoverer the larger proportion of fees charged by Ms Moffatt and her firm went to a defence of the property manager who unilaterally drew monies from leaseholders' residential account and who kept referring to the lease terms and her right for defence at the expense of the leaseholders despite these practices being highly dubious and extremely damaging for the maintenance of the building. I managed to speak only once with Ms Moffatt and emphasised heavily the willingness of leaseholders to achieve a settlement between conflicting parties. Ms Moffatt stopped communicating with me since then as I am not her client, the property manager is, and all further communication through the manager and urge to resolve the case asap so far resulted in constant delays and mounting expenses for us. At the time of this review the leaseholders spent over £10,000 in Dean Wilson fees within a year to push papers and emails back and forth and drag further this ridiculous and unnecessary conflict which certainly can be resolved. To say more, the leaseholder who's in dispute with Ms Moffat's client expressed clearly his terms, submitted a settlement agreement and is willing to compromise and satisfy the demands regarding a previously unpaid service charge, however at the time of this writing Ms Moffatt still keeps wasting our time and burning our hard earned cash holding the settlement in a "review" mode. It was astonishing to discover that despite property manager's promises and assurance over emails that "we will try our best to recover any penny of the legal fees" from the party in breach of lease eventually resulted in a suggestion from Ms Moffatt to reclaim only £3,350 despite the aggregate fees paid being over £10,000 and adding up with each month... So to reclaim £3,350 which in case of success will still leave us in a loss of more than £6,650 we were proposed to carry on with the case and obviously burn more cash. Once again, in case you missed an arithmetic class in a primary school: 1) spend over £10,000 in fees, 2) attempt to reclaim £3,350 for which spend, say, another £2,000, 3) net total result: £3,350-(£10,000+£2,000)=-£8,650.00. How amazing and clever! Meanwhile: our building had been suffering for a year from an absence of proper fire alarm system (which recently we got installed by constantly quarrelling and arguing with the property manager), the roof covering has significant issues (treatment of which were constantly jeopardised and delayed and only finally with enormous efforts and pressure from the leaseholders we managed to bring in the workers), the front of the building is dirty and ran down, not to mention other minor issues in communal areas and flats to be addressed. Ms Moffatt's fees ruined our leaseholder's accounts to a degree that we are still struggling to put money together for essential works associated with the minimum maintenance of our building.

Chain delays caused by dean Wilson

We’re at the end of a small chain (2 properties) which has been held up by a month. I found out today it’s because of Dean Wilson, who have been unable to approve a deed of covenant despite promising it on numerous occasions. I’d strongly recommend not using them for legal work as they seem extremely incompetent.
